$155.40 p/a and want $117 for a SSL certificate.

Here is their dubious pitch:

"The idea of “free SSL” is largely a thing of the past. Today, the vast majority of hosting providers — nearly 90% — have moved away from genuinely free SSL offerings."

They also claimed that my new host did not provide a free SSL, which is untrue.

To rub salt in the would, they have left me to fix the registrant email which has a defunct jooster email associated with it. So if you want the combination of incompetence, contempt, greed and shirking of responsibility, they're your guys.
