Dilmah Arabian Mint Tea with Honey
2 reviews
No taste or smell of mint & honey – I am an lover of tea and Dilmah is my tea of choice at least 6 times a day. I was excited when I opened up the sealed packet excited to smell the strong Arabian mint but sadly there wasn’t even a hint of a minty smell. I read the box just in case I picked the wrong one but it was right. I proceeded to make a pot waiting for any mint aroma. I poured and tasted to taste a no mint no honey just a strange tasting black tea. No words can describe how I felt as I had also purchased a expensive pot to ‘enjoy’ the tea. I keep trying but still the same. I unfortunately have purchased a number of canisters believing it was to be exception Arabian minty honey in flavour.
I have contacted customer service no response and the product has been removed from the website. Leaves a very bitter taste just as this tea.
Purchased in for $9.
Beautiful – There are many beautiful things that the human race has created and this is one of them. The reason that this range of teas have evolved to such an exsquisite level is that, I believe, Dilmah strive to produce the very best product they can. It is this passion that creates such beautiful combinations of teas. I allow at least five minutes for infusion as I like a strong, bold flavor. Others I've introduced allow infusion for a shorter period. I do not add milk or sugar. I sip it as the Dilmah people intended it to be consumed. It is a very relaxing way to spend a few minutes with one's own company and a good book. There is a period of adjustment to drinking tea without the condiments but these blends are not ordinary beverages. To really appreciate the taste you must drink the teas in an unadulterated state.
I commend this line of products to any readers but make sure that you drink the teas as they were meant to be consumed, and allow that time of at least five cups to adjust.
The teas are expensive in comparison to stereotypical teas but the experience is well worth it.
I purchased the teas locally but over time I have noticed that some stores have become reluctant to stock it, I'm informed, because of consumer resistance due to the conservative nature of the average tea drinker. It is this conservatism that denies many people the opportunity to indulge in the full sensations life has to offer.
