Dimplex GDC-AC9/12RW / GDC-AC9/12RCS/CB/CW Questions & Answers
VerifiedI bought a second-hand unit. It has been working just fine but as of recently it keeps stopping with the "Error 7" message displayed on the screen. What is an error 7?
Hi Azman, I'm sorry to hear of this. The E7 error could be a few different things: - Water Full > requires drain out - Float Damage > float switch requires replacement - PCB Damage - needs replacement - Wheel Rack Stuck > needs to be cleaned - Connector to PCB Loose > needs to be reinserted - Water Motor Damage > needs replacement
I hope this helps, Thanks
GDC-AC12RCBA How can I stop the outlet pipe from coming out of the unit while it is in use ... it blows out hot into the room ?
Hi Veronica, Thank you for your query. Please note the exhaust hose should be ‘screwed’ into position. To ensure that the hose is attached correctly, remove from the window kit and retract the full length of hose allowing only the first 4 ‘rungs’ to be extended. Place the first rung over the attachment on the machine end and screw into position. Once the rungs have been inserted correctly, they will not come out of position again until removed/ unscrewed. Should you continue to experience issues after following this advise, please do not hesitate to contact our office again for further assistance. thank you

Hello john m In these old units there is no fuse listed and unfortunately due to the age of these units there are now no longer any parts available. You could take the unit to an air conditioning repairer in your area for assessment.

GDC-AC12RB BLACK we have not used this unit much because it has much condensation and wets the carpet. how to stop the condensation?
Hello Bob Please ensure that the unit is run on a firm and level surface with the drain plug fitted at all times. Also ensure that the filters are clean with no dust or particulates present around the air intake of the appliance. The internal water reservoir may become full if you are experiencing especially humid weather, if this is the case, you should ensure that this is emptied when the relevant symbol/ error code is displayed.
If all of this has been done and the unit is still leaking from the base, please contact an air conditioning repairer in your area, you may simply require a maintenance service.
The bottom of the condenser tray is blocked with dust and dirt. Take the back panels off and clean the foam tray and holes.

How do I empty bucket fulk bucket light flashing?
Hi Amber
When the unit warns of full water, please unplug the water stopper at the back of the unit and then lean the unit to drain the
water out. Then the unit can then be restarted.

Unfortunately we no long have parts for the GDC-AC9RCS. You could contact an air-conditioner repairer in your area and they may have a generic exhaust pipe to fit.
Light up but doesn't come on. Any help?
Hello Gerane Thank you for your enquiry. Please ensure that the air conditioner is on firm flat surface and that the ventilation to the unit is not blocked. The unit may take a few minutes to start operating after it has been switched on. If this does not happen you may then need to take the appliance to an air conditioner repairer in your area for assessment. Please do not hesitate to contact our office on 1300 556 846 if you have any further questions.
Hi, another question? I've been using this unit for heating and it is doing a great job, however, I have noticed now that the fan function does not allow me to change it to a low setting anymore? I have the temperature set to 22 degrees and have noticed that the unit seems to reach 21 degrees room temperature and no higher. Would this explain why the fan mode is stuck on the high setting? Even on the auto setting, it does not regulate the fan speed? When I push the fan function it beeps but does not indicate the movement in the LCD panel or change the fan speed to the low setting?
How much was it new?
Hello Juz. These units are approximately 7-10 years old, they retailed for between $899.00 and $1099.
$700

Is there any detach tray for water drain? Last night my carpet was all wer water everywhere. Please advice how to drain it? The small outlet at the back water overflow from there. Please solve it
Hi Peter - this unit should have a drain plug in place when being used on the cooling function. A drain hose is only required to be fitted when in the dehumidify mode. Please ensure that the plug is in place and only empty the reservoir when the appliance shows on the display that it needs to be done. You can contact our Customer Care team by phone: 1300 556 816 to obtain a copy of the Owner's Manual should you need a copy for future reference.

Hi Tim - a universal remote is not able to be used for this appliance. In order to obtain an Owner's Manual, please contact our Customer Care team either by phone: 1300 556 816 or email: customer.care@glendimplex.com.au to request same. We can post or email a copy to you as required.

How can i check gas?
Hi there - gas levels/ pressure can only be tested by someone qualified to do so. Please note that a cooler would normally only need re-gassing if there was a breach in the sealed system. If the unit is not operating correctly, or no longer cooling sufficiently, there may be an alternative reason for this.
Please contact our Customer Care team to receive details of an authorised service agent in your area to arrange assessment of same.
