Good for the price I paid and you pack perfectly, but wouldn't buy again – We paid about $450 for the dishwasher a number not years ago. Dishlex used to be the dishwasher brand to go to, but now I couldn't recommend them. To get a good wash you need to pack the dishwasher perfectly (eg space dishes), otherwise dishes are still dirty. I find this is especially the case with starchy food such as mashed potatoes and rice.… Read more

As, you get starch all over your glasses.

The best wash i get is while using Finish Quantum tablets, and my homemade rinse aid (200ml of alcohol, 200ml of vinegar and 2 teaspoons of citric acid). I find using Finish rinse aid puts to much polish on the glasses.

The bottom rack has issues being pushed in smoothly which I think is because the wheels are bending, and the glass holder rubber nibs are starting to break off.

I am buying a Bosch made in Turkey next year (from Choice reviews the European Bosch are the best, and Chinese made ones are the worst of the Bosch's). My 3 sisters and Mum have Bosch dishwashers, and they wash magnificently, even when you don't load them correctly. But, remember the Dishlex is a $900 dishwasher, while the Dishlex is $450.

Not happy – This was a replacement for another model that caught on fire. It’s stopped working and stuck on 14mins. It keeps making this humming noise. I have tried resetting it. Doesn’t work. Turning it off at the PowerPoint, does not matter what I do, it just hums and won’t come off 14 mins. I do not rate Dislex as a brand. So far I have had two models… Read more

that are really bad. And seeing other reviews, I see other have had the same problems. Not good enough.

Not happy, stopped cleaning and drying well after 18 months and now won't turn on – I have owned this dishwasher for just over 2 years. At first it was good but about 6 months ago I noticed that the dishes were not cleaned very well. Over the past 3 months this has been accompanied by an inability to dry the dishes properly - especially plastic. I need to dry most things by hand before putting them away. Now the LCD display… Read more

is just stuck on 15 minutes and no amount of resetting / disconnecting from power will fix it. Not a good result being only 2 years old.

Lower rack wheels problem – The lower rack wheels have a poor design, one wheel is broken, the others continue to twist and misalign causing the lower rack to derail just about every time the lower rack is pulled out. Our previous base model Dishlex, had for 8 years troublefree, but this one not as good. Spare parts store wanted $80 for replacement wheels (set of 8). Cleans well and is very quiet.  Show details

Bottom rack wheels and door seal - disaster!!! – The wheel design on the bottom rack is very poor and after owning this for sometime (1 year) the wheel attachment to the rack starts to lose their strength and some of the wheels have actually broken parts which leads to hem falling off the rack - we are constantly having to reattach and realign the wheels into their tracks in order to slide the… Read more

rack into the washer. The fault wheel issue has further lead to the rubber seal at the bottom of the door being pulled out over and over when the rack is pushed in and then water leaks from under the door onto the kitchen floor as a result

Luckily the washer is pretty good at its base function and it look like I can order a new set of wheels for $27.

Leaves gritty residue on crockery – My mum bought this dishwasher after having her previous Dishlex for many years. This model is a complete dud. Within 3 months, she noticed that it didn't seem to be washing as well. After 12 months the machine started to leave a gritty, sandy residue on the dishes, especially the cups and mugs in the top shelf. Rinsing every dish thoroughly… Read more

beforehand doesn't make a shred of difference. Cleaning the interior and the filters does not help. She can see food & waste build up in the arms but it's impossible to remove because the arms can't be detached for cleaning and just gets pushed back inside if you use the cleaning "technique" suggested in the manual. She completely agrees with another reviewer below that some dishes come out of the dishwasher dirtier than when they went in. We HATE this machine.

Very disappointed – Not happy with this machine... every cycle finishes with 20 minutes showing on display. and after pressing it again it continue for around an hour ... Dishlex DSF6205X – Have only had this dishwasher for about 8 months but so far so good. Considering the price, it cleans the dishes well and isn't too noisy which is what it is all about. It doesn't dry the dishes properly though - particularly the top rack. I like the fact that you can turn it completely off when you aren't using it from the front. Not a fan of the… Read more

Bottom rack nightmare – We are happy it cleans our dishes fine. Use Fairy cubes as they are better than finish in my opinion. The bottom rack is a nightmare. When dishes in it the racks don't slide in. Comes off the edges and you have to lift the whole bottom full rack to put it in position. Flimsy design and wheels can't support the rack. Very unhappy as have neck… Read more

Do not buy this dishwasher!! – Initially we were really happy with this dishwasher in that for its price it cleaned dishes well even on the 30 minute cycle. Then after we had had it for just under one year one night it started to make a loud dry gurgling sound and wouldn't activate the wash cycle. We had it sent away for repair and it worked for a month or so. Then the same… Read more

thing happened. Sent away for repairs again - for two weeks over Easter and my daughter's birthday party. We have a very young family of 3 and both work so a dishwasher is essential to us. Tonight the same thing has happened again. On top of the impact of not having a dishwasher, we have the impact of the time we have to sacrifice because we have been provided with a faulty product - we have have to find the warranty, navigate the phone calls that need to be made and then reorganise work schedules to be here for drop off and pick up of the machine which are always during the week and be without a dishwasher yet again. I am so disappointed and frustrated I could just cry.

Worse than the dishwasher I replaced – This dishwasher did an okay job of cleaning our dishes sometimes. I am currently experiencing a recurrent error 30 problem. Technicians have been out twice and given two different explanations for why the anti flood feature could be activating. Firstly that we didn't close the rinse aid flap. Even if it was the case, which I'm sure it wasn't,… Read more

should I need to end up calling out a technician to get the dishwasher working again? Secondly, maybe something fell down and jammed the rotor. I would've thought it would have been still there when we opened it and also that we wouldn't need a technician to get the washer going again.

Going to call dishlex tomorrow once again and tell them to replace this unit. There is obviously something wrong here... Apart from the fact that it doesn't wash dishes well and the bottom drawer doesn't roll in and out properly, as mentioned in most of the other reviews here. Buyer beware.

Not Happy – My dishwasher has not washed dishes properly since I had it installed, there is always food left on them and we have resorted to handwashing in the first instance. followed by the normal wash hoping it would clean them. In the morning i checked but no, still food all over them, glasses not clean & shiny but with specks of washing powder on them. I have just taken them out and my husband is handwashing them as I write. We had a Dishlex in our old house and it worked fine, i am so disappointed that i bought this one, whats the point of having a dishwasher that doesn't wash dishes!! I could go and buy another brand but its also the cost of getting the plumber in.....

WORST dishwasher we have ever had! – This is the WORST dishwasher we have ever had! Big mistake to have bought it! After many years of having Dishlex dishwashers, we decided to stick with the brand believing it to be good. But this one is nothing like earlier models. The worst part of it is the lower rack which collapses. The rollers constantly come off the track particularly on the… Read more

right side where the dinner plates are. The racks are very flimsy and do not support the dishes. Very bad design! The wash itself is terrible too. Often the tablet doesn't dissolve and it lies in a mess at the bottom of the dishwasher. Plates come out dirty. The top rack is badly designed too. This machine is a disgrace to the Electrolux name.

An exellent dishwasher – A great dishwasher at a good price. Very pleased with performance and level of quietness. Also looks so much better than previous Dishlex we had for 25 - 30 trouble free years. No doubt there are a lot of people out there who like us are very satisfied with their Dishlex dishwasher.

Very happy with this product – More than happy with this product! We're a family of 6 so use it every day. We tried all the wash settings and found we could use the 30min wash and it washes dishes perfectly and also dries them very quickly. It's not as quiet as our previous dishwasher but that wasn't one of the criteria of purchasing.

Reasonable Dishwasher, Poor Service – For a mid-range dishwasher we have been happy with the result. We are a family of 5 so run 1-2 loads a day, only pre-rinse very dirty items, use the Eco cycle and Finish tablets and have a clean load each time. However I agree with some of the other comments about poor design of the lower basket which drops when being pushed back in so needs to… Read more ·  1

be handled carefully, and the very long cycle (2hr 46min on Eco) but also think that for a $700 dishwasher these are acceptable design flaws.

However bought the unit in May during a promotion, not because of the promotion, and registered to receive the cutlery set but have had only frustrating experiences and no cutlery. Have been advised promotions are run through another business and there is no phone no. to call so everything is via email, which generally haven't been returned. This despite the fact that I have been requested a contact no. so they can call me - poor service indeed.

Absolute waste of money – Having previously owned a dishlex for 13years we thought we would stick to the same brand. What a mistake! This dishwasher has never washed our dishes really from day one. Absolutely Ridiculous!!! – We purchased this dishwasher 3 months ago, so for 3 months we have been hand washing 90% of our dishes because this machine doesn't wash. We've tried every setting, multiple tablet brands and multiple rinse aid brands but this machine does not wash. The controls are easy to use, 4 buttons and a dial, however they are useless when dishes come out dirtier than when placed inside.

Very disappointing! – Reluctantly I was required to look for a new dishwasher after old faithful died. Warning. This dishwasher does not clean! After placing items in the dishwasher I have hand wash the majority of items again to get them clean. I no longer Have a 30min quick wash. For some reason it now shows 36min. There is no difference between the 30min wash and any of the other washes. They all have the same disappointing outcome. Also a few times the display has played up. Beware the place setting seems to fit very little. This is a disappointing product from such a reputable company.

not all that impressed – owned for 1 week. as a dishwasher - it seams to work and is very quiet, however...rubber bumps on front of top draw fall off. bottom draw tumbles off its track when sliding in. the plate position in the back right of the lower draw puts too much weight on that section of the draw when pushing the draw in. the back of the draw drops into the void… Read more

between the door and the machine usually at the back right of the draw where the plates are. this causes the draw to rotate in an anti clockwise motion and the front right of the draw wheels pop out from the track on the door. the draw then jambs. the plates should be at the front of the draw so the draw is in the machine before the bulk of the weight is transferring across the span between the door and the machine. the length and position of the cutlery tray interferes with the plates behind it. plates cant be evenly placed from the center of the back of the draw out in each direction as full sized plates don't fit on the left due to the cutlery tray and the wire basket shape at the back of the draw. operating cycle is very, very, very, very, very loooong. Having upgraded from an old dishlex to this is nothing short of a dish-a-pointment.
