volume. the music also lasted a good 10 minutes or so. the illumination was terrible and very very slow- mine actually stopped moving at all! it's actually quite heavy and bulky and difficult to attach to the cot. it also drains the battery extremely quickly- we had to change the batteries about 3 weeks after buying it
