Poor Product Support – I have invested heavily in DJI drones and accessories as I am a commercial drone pilot. Recently I had a problem with two Mavic 2 Intelligent Flight Batteries. Both were manufactured in September 2018. I noticed on a recent flight that both batteries were swollen when used in the aircraft and each of them started coming out of the cradle. This would have been catastrophic - no power and the drone turns into a brick and falls from the sky! I sent both batteries to DJI and they have refused one as they say it came from mainland China. I purchased it from an Ebay store which, as far as I could tell, was Australian. In any event, this $270 battery is a genuine DJI battery and not yet reached even half of its life. Despite the fact that it is genuine, despite the fact that the fault is catastrophic and despite the fact that I have asked DJI several times to re-consider, they outright refuse. I don't understand why they will not stand by their product.
