Superb, spacious family tent! – Perfect massive tent for our family of 6! Used for multiple trips in a range of nice and extreme weather environments and loved it every time! The whole side opening up provides a great space to sit in the shade (though needs to be packed down in high winds & heavy rain).
Purchased in for $200.
Excellent – This is a great family tent and we had a great time holidaying in it. Managed to withstand some pretty severe winds & rain over the Christmas Holidays. Would recommend you check this out if in the market for a very good quality tent. Space, ease of set up. Our tent was significantly cooler than our friends Coleman tent. Also more internal space even though they are the 'same' floor size.
Fantastic Roomy Tent – We've done 3 short trips with our tent now. Trip 1 - Gusty winds over 50km/hour with an exposed site. With awnings and windows closed to the wind side - and all ropes tied down - our tent didn't move. Others in the ground did partially collapse. We were cozy on a sub zero morning during this trip. Trip 2 - heavy rain. We put it up in a hurry and missed some of the velcro attachments on the fly to top poles. This resulted in some pooling which we pushed off, tent did not leak at all.
Trip 3, regular trip, some wind, some showers, some hot weather. This tent is cool with great ventilation. Great Value, Roomy - the 4 kids fit in one room easily Most basic caravan park sites are not large enough for tent set up. Need 2 sites.
Our first camp with this tent – I thought I should share our first-pitch with this tent as it produced a bit of a problem... We got the tent the wrong way round! Let me explain... The tent is very nice and roomy, stable and all fitted together well and overall we are very pleased with the product-at the price. However, I think the instructions should be better. By this I mean some form of note to say about getting the tent the right way round!!!
1)The picture on the box shows the end awning on the 'other end'.
2)The details stated 'full length side awnings".They are not, one is only a centre door awning.
So, it goes you have to make sure you have the inner tent the correct way round so as to have the full length awning to the front and the end awning the same end as the opening in the inner tent.
I put up the inner the way the picture showed, then to find the outer did not match up with it this way round-so had to change it.
People watching thought it was hilarious. But we had a great time. Plenty of space, good for a weeks camp. Good price One window had no tie-back fitted?
