Over a couple of years I've had both front and rear leaf springs repaired and reset twice each, costing a few thousand dollars overall. for replacements and they appeared clueless to the part needed. I emailed pictures of the part. No response. A phone call2 days later and was told the email was passed to sales. Still no response. Another call to sales and they had no clue, said they would look them up and call back. Another 2 days still nothing. Contacted a bus user group I'm a member of and was given a contact in Brisbane. Rang Ross at Spring Master and he knew exactly what I wanted, had them in stock and posted same day. Delivered overnight, installed and noises gone. Dobinsons total lack of service will lose my custom and probably probably lots more. I won't be recc recommending them to anyone. 0 stars from me.

Have a kit on a land cruiser 70 series, shocks dampen fine, springs sag uneven to drivers' side in less than 3,000 miles.

Will never buy dobinsons again – Sold me a lift kit for my vehicle, all bushes and ball joints were flogged out in under 50000km. When I contacted them regarding replacement parts they were only interested in selling me a brand new lift kit and would not give me any information on any of the parts I needed to replace in the kit they originally sold me.

Poor Service – Booked in Rockhampton to have springs beefed up and updated shocks. When I went to collect vehicle on completion, I checked their work and saw shocks hadn’t been changed. work and agreed to talk the next day. I phoned the next morning but was unable to talk to the Salesman but was told he would phone me back. Didn’t ring me and didn’t ring me the next day after I phoned them again. Worst service ever

Such an improvement – Lifted my triton with their 2inch IMS 300kg load kit and it has improved the car. Ten fold, love the look and ride this kit has given my car. Show details

Dobinson’s Gas Shockies Inferior Product – Dobinson’s gas shocks do not buy have all failed on me over 3 year period the last one this month front right rang them they said will only last 2 to 3 years didn’t tell me that when purchased them just rubbish try a local company for better quantity. Show details

contact dobinsons suspension themselves they tell you to call the installer No responsibility by any one My vehicle is off the road due to it beyckassed unsafe by main roads Qld Court aiis now under way against the installer and dobinsons for not honouring the ACCC laws etc now Springs are all wrong rate so car bounces like a kid on a trampoline even when setting on rear is on hard The installer pulled front struts apart and used the 75mil spring and then put struts back together with out the correct hear so the front end is super hard and no play at all and no adjustments available on the nra rebound at all

Leaf spring snapped off – I have only had this leaf spring for just over two years and yesterday it had snapped off whilst driving. My car has never towed a caravan or trailer before or carried heavy materials, there has always been an ongoing noise especially when I go over humps. I will never recommend a product from Dobinson after my experience, wasted my time and money. Show details

A huge waste of money and frankly damaging to my vehicle – I've had Dobinsons MRA's in my Ute for almost 2 years now and it's been a stressful and frustrating journey with no resolution. better. It was marginally improved, maybe. After much more discussion and time they agree to change the springs and agree that the supplied springs were over weighted. We see a slight improvement this time but still feel the shocks topping out very regularly. After more time they agree to pull the shocks apart and find they weren't assembled in the configuration they were ordered. And they found damage, and replaced the damaged part, despite being asked to replace the whole shock. More time goes on and I am unhappy with the shocks, they tune them multiple more times to which we find a slight improvement at first but still the harshest ride I've ever experienced. They convince me it's the springs so I pay this time for another spring change. Now we have a slight improvement again but I can feel every bump, off road is almost unbearable at low speed, the steering has developed excessive play due to the harsh ride and the body roll is so great the car has to travel at least 30% slower around corners. All down sides and no upsides. The worst product experience I've ever had. 0/5 stars for the whole business after this experience.

Very poor service – Purchased 2 inch kit . Front struts failed within 2 years. Been waiting 4 months for new ones. Very poor delivery. Not even concerned about warranty just need car repaired before holidays.

2 inch lift not suitable for y 62 – Got a 2 inch lift installed with 250 to 350 kg rated rear springs in my y62. Also with airbags . Firstly car sits to high without caravan on it when I put it on it still lowers 2 inches or so have chewed out 2 rear cvs while van not on car . I have been told it is due to the lift being to high . other installers say that the problem is more like a three inch lift using these springs as they make a tall spring it's cost me now almost 3.2g and the only thing to do is to get a diff drop fitted for 1700 dollars so now it to 4.9g to tow my caravan . I can not recommend this product to any Nissan y62 owners based on my experience. Totally unsatisfactory to us thanks dobinson for nothing.

Open or Not Open – 60K on Dobinson Suspension. Little off-roading. them!!!!! Couldn't tell me if they were closed due to flood or open. Understand trauma of flooding but couldn't someone in this fairly large company have a smidgeon of customer service expertise and update the website? Websites are not museum pieces after all. Mechanic extremely frustrated trying to order the part, tells me the person helping him had not been fully trained and had to keep asking others for help. Update.... one bushing not looking too good so replacing all. Hot tip. Do not expect a reply to use of their online inquiry. I was told they have lots of email. In other words they are not going to read all in a timely fashion or at all. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Ring every day, or 2x a day until you are certain your order has been dispatched. When you are able talk to someone they are helpful.

Failed after just 2 years with little off-road use – We put a 2' Mono lift on with the Dobsons shop at Smeaton Grange. The service from the guys was good but the product is extremely poor quality. After just 2 years with very limited 4wding both front shocks have failed and require replacing. Obviously a poor product just looking at the reviews online. Will not be touching Dobson products ever again.

Front shocks failed – Updated rating due to after sales service. relatively new, it was the last part they looked at.

Onto the rear.

The leafs are good, not to squeaky, but the rear shocks have a rubber boot that fills with water and needs to be emptied each time it happens to suck any water in.. So basically anytime you might’ve crossed a river or driven through some waterholes.

That’s my experience with their products, I’ll call Dobinsons today and let you know my experience with their warranty team..

Stay away from Dobinsons – I bought Dobinsons suspension upgrade for Navara D23 leaf rear. Fitted by my mechanic. I immediately left for remote area. for. The 100kg leaf rear has four + two leaves, the 300kg kit has five+2. I can count!

Back in Rockhampton, sent photo of rear leafs to Dobinsons and requested they rectify their mistake. Complete brushoff on their part. The photo shows 5 leaves, they said. Gobsmacking denial.

Just stay away from this firm. They do not stand by their product nor acknowledge their mistakes.. if it was a mistake.

been very competent off road. The guys at the Dandenong branch are experienced and happy to share, listen and have the gear to provide solutions. Very happy with the results so far.
