Quoted to install 2 LED Downlights $1050. Unbelievable!!! Did not proceed as they clearly didn’t want the job.
Be aware of pricing structure and payment terms! I had a very simple issue. A LED light had stopped working causing the circuit to trip. I simply wanted a new light installed. Dodds charged me $199 for a find and fault fee. (Took all of 3 minutes to confirm issue was with the light.) then they wanted to charge additional $160 to put a new light in. I said no as I already had a new light to install…. Still charged additional $87 to put 3 wire into new light (took another 2 mins or so) All done in sub 20minutes most of that time on the phone to the office and I was charged $285.90…
But then here is the bit that really annoyed me. The electrician wanted me to transfer payment in front of him. Before I had even received an invoice. (Saying just transfer the money to this account and offering a BSB and account number.) I refused saying I’ll pay when I receive an invoice. (Would have taken longer to create the invoice than for the electrician to sort the problem.)
I will most definitely not be getting dodds back and would urge anyone else to strongly look at pricing structure before using.
In hindsight side I should have just asked straight out for a new light to be installed.

Excellent Electricians – Dodds Electricians arrived when they said they would, they were efficient and friendly, but more than that, they listened to everything I said and asked questions about. I highly recommend them and would ask them back any time I need work done.
Great Service – We had the occasions to use Dodds Electrical here in Mandurah for a range hood & stove installation last week and I cannot recommend them highly enough for their professionalism, service and very helpful and friendly communications before and after the job completion..... and I mention after the job service as it was immediate with the tiniest of an issue I thought I had, not only was it not a problem to them, the attention to getting it right "if" there was a problem was immediate with no hesitations or questions to come back and have a look ......and Dodds also had a painting sub contractor for the ceiling repairs due to a large hole from the removed ceiling exhaust fan the painter "re plastered the ceiling" his work was a cut above the average too, fantastic job... first rate SERVICE all around!
