Doogee S96 Pro
MPN: S96Pro4 reviews
Lasts about 12 months – Great for 12 months then thlngs begin to break down. The charging port failed. Main camera doesnt focus. Selfie camera completely disappeared. App icons constantly drop out completely or move onto another page, particularly phone, msg, contacts, photos. Battery life decreased by at least half. Flash stopped working on camera. Phone sometimes doesnt ring with incoming calls. Contacts continually go missing. Helpdesk is of no help what so ever. The exterior is rugged but thats its only redeeming feature.

Delight turned to Disappointment – I've had my s96 Pro for about 12mths battery life on it is great. Display and graphics fantastic. Had issues when using 4G it wouldn't pick up any reception had to keep changing the setting to 3G just to have it work and was really durable I dropped it a lot was one of the main reasons I bought it, I'm a serial phone smasher however my phone fell from my pocket and hit the tiles in the bathroom and the screen is completely shattered even with the screen protector on. The screen protect is in tact but the screen is totally shattered with glass falling out so disappointed.

Great Hardware PoS software – So when i got the phone it worked great, battery life was good, camera was decent and speed was fine. After about a month of use I noticed one morning that my alarm didn't go off and phone had shut down. When I rebooted it was as if it was a brand new phone and all my data was lost. i thought this was odd but only took about 30 mins to reset and get everything going again. Then this happened again about a week later, then a couple of days later again. I bought a new phone and tried to get help from the manufacturer and the retailer. The manufacturer pointed me in the direction of their frankly rubbish forums and the retailer would not refund or replace the handset(Bang good). I put the handset into 2 different repair shops to see if they could get the firmware sorted, both gave me back the phone saying they simply couldn't help. Damn shame, the potential was there but completely let down by software. NOT recommended
Purchased in for $400.
Wasted money – Straight to the point on this. When the phone rings, nothing shows up on the screen. It doesn't even wake up when the phone rings. I have to drag the menu bar down from the top of the screen and then tap open the incoming call to answer the phone. Messages quite often don't send immediately. It can take up to 10 attempts to send the same message containing just 4 words, but other times a full paragraph of 20 or 30 words can send immediately. Quite often the phone won't ring for some reason even though it is off both silent and mute with the volume turned up. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get any help from customer service for the issue. I have had tough phones before with no issues, but unfortunately this particular brand fails in the areas that matter the most. Other than that though, it does have a good quality camera, good amount of storage and good long lasting battery (up to 3 days typical daily use) before the next charge is due.
