After Sales Service – Simply NONE in Australia for Doro Mobile Phones. No contact number in Australia. Have tried emailing. No reply. Have to email Sweden. I hope I get a reply there. This is shocking! DO NOT BUY DORO!
Great for my increasing deafness. Best mobile yet – I am hearing impaired; elsewhere on this site are my struggles to find a mobile that ticks all the boxes without accompanying frustrations. The Optus Shop in Warringah Mall suggested the Doro 615 and also allowed me to see and hear it. Truly the answer. Big buttons, loud tones, easy to use and above all, it's a flip-phone. So I can carry it in… Read more · 1
my pocket. And the alarm is great. It sits by my bed in the charger cradle. It was locked to Optus but they gave a code to unlock after about 36 hours. The only downside so far is that does not (as the book says) work with my hearing aids which are government supplied Widex, a pretty common make. But no real complaints. A mobile actually like! Flip-lid. Bright, clear and loud Not much. Doesn't seem to connect with my hearing aids
Good – Overall it is an easy to use phone. I like that it has 3 handsets as it allows for multiple handsets around the house. For the price of this phone I believe it is one of the best on the market. Good price for a cordless phone with three handsets, with a built in answering machine. The phone is a sleek black and the sound is clear and audible. We… Read more
have had the phone for just over a year and the battery dies very quickly if not left on charger. My husband would have liked the buttons to be a little larger for ease of use with large fingers.
Good – Look, for $50 you really can't complain. No backlight ? Who cares ? How often do you answer in the dark ? You can always turn on the light ! Ringtones are all too alarming, but at least you can make them quiet, or very loud if you want. Compared to my previous Doro, everything takes an extra button push and it's less intuitive, but the sound… Read more · 1
quality is better, and the range is great. I had to return a top level Uniden that cut out after 3 rooms, this goes all the way out into the street. Only has 8 minutes of record time. Maybe I should have got the model up ($90 at topbuys) as it had the picture screen and nicer ringtones, but really, for a basic cordless phone answering machine it ticks all the boxes. To me, the range is the most important thing, can't beat 1.8 MHz for range. Initially it's a little hard to remember the sequences to do stuff, but it soon becomes second nature. It does show that messages are there, and call screening is available, and can be automatic. It's a good basic unit, and Doro makes good cordless phones for not much money (I think the Telstra ones are re-branded Doro's ?). If that's all you need, then grab one while they last. Currently $50 at topbuys, 3 handsets, gotta love that. Range is good, inside and out, much better range than some dearer units. Few options, truly lousy ringtones, harder to use than previous doro. Only 8 minutes message record time. Call screening works from all phones but only can be heard from one phone (#1). Belt clip looks a little easy to break, we'll see how it goes.
Excellent – FANTASTIC range, clarity of calls is brilliant. Crystal clear, comes with re-chargeable batteries and always ready to use all the time. Beats UNIDEN phones that have caused me issues in the past It is light and all of the features are accessible from all phones. You can also make calls between handsets as well as diverting calls between handsets. The voicemail feature on the phone is excellent No backlight - that is all
Terrible – It's light, looks good and the price is ok BUT it has too many drawbacks for me to recommend it as a good purchase. I would not buy same again. price, light weight, good range away from base no back light, doesn't work in a power failure, not easy to set up, cuts out after 5 or 6 rings
