The sound quality on speaker is poor, even though it can be quite loud. So it's difficult to understand even if your hearing is good. Great mobile big button phone – I recently purchased the Olitech EasyTel 4G Homephone (mobile) for my elderly mother. Great Seniors Home Phone – Purchased for my elderly aunt in an aged care facility. Great phone – I bought this phone for my mother who turned 100 earlier this year. It replaced a VOIP homephone that used an external and very unreliable modem. The new phone uses a SIM card which is so much better. The phone is very easy to set up (great instructional videos on the Olitech website), very very loud and simple to use. My mother loves it. OK phone poor battery life in comparison to the 3G version that it replaced – Previously had the 3G version of this phone and battery lasted almost a week. Keep in mind this phone was purchased for my Mum who is over 90 years of age and uses the phone - perhaps 2-3 time a week for a total call time of around 5-10 minutes. A great alternative to a mobile phone – My mother is finding this phone a lot easier to use than her previous mobile. Technology is hard for her to grasp, and this phone is very much like a landline so not as much of a challenge! She won't use all the functions, but will cope with making and receiving calls, which is all we ask for. Show details

Excellent phone for the hearing impaired and elderly – My 93yo friend went into a Nursing Home and an IT friend got her a mobile phone. We persevered for 2 years but she couldn't get the hang of it. install. I have put some of her friends' numbers in and my friend USES it! She could hear without hearing aids AND the loud ring is easily heard. The only downside is that we can only make it ring for 30 seconds. By the time she gets out of bed or out of her recliner, the 30 seconds is up! An excellent phone and the Nursing Home has taken the details so they can let future residents' families of it.

Only negative comment would be that I think a white phone might be better for someone who is vision impaired, as the black phone is just all black and very hard for her to tell where the hand piece is to put back down (she has talked on it, but not rung up herself). Otherwise a great phone of someone with poor cognitive function.

Great Phone. Excellent service – My Mother is 97 vision and hearing impaired. She manages this phone very well. We have always gone to Olitech for her needs. The staff are really helpful, caring and patient, it's refreshing to speak with someone straight away.

My Mum is now - hooray! - connected – After a lot of running around and a succession of hopelessly sub-optimal phones, I have just set up THE one that does the trick. Reliable phone excellent service – This is to replace the 3G version we purchased for my 91 Year old mother in an old aged home a couple of years ago. I purchased a Vodaphone chip and top it up annually. Easy! She has no idea it is actually a mobile phone as she has always been a Luddite with technology! This is excellent product and good service – It does everything it should ...in fact it may do more than it needs to. My only criticism is the layout of some of the keys eg: green phone icon initiates a call while red phone icon, on the same row doesn't hang up ...it turns the phone off. Show details

Easy Tel 4G – My mum is 93 and now resides in an aged care facility. Previously she had a "normal" house phone and an Olitech flip phone as a back up.
