Okay phone.
Phone is as described. Big buttons. Memory buttons. Adjustable volume levels. It works fine.
There is an unacceptable amount of interference noise when using the phone though. Seems to crackle, hiss and have white noise whenever the handset cord moves.

Perfect for my 3 year old
This is exactly what i needed for my 3 year old daughter to use incase she has an emergency at home. She once ran out through the front door crying looking for me while i was out back putting clothing up . Now she has clear pictures of who she can dial with one button

Technical support
There was an issue with this phone but Oricom are sending me a replacement and postage for the returned item will be prepaid. All in all, I am very pleased with how quickly and efficiently the issue was resolved. As for the phone itself, it works as advertised. Both my parents are in their eighties and have a hard time using smartphones, so this phone is a godsend.

Helpful for people with dementia
When someone is no longer able to use the conventional phone, Oricom Care 80 allows them to call family members/ chosen contacts. Our experience in having our phone replaced when it had a fault was very positive. We will recommend it.

Great for elderly with memory and hearing issues, the picture/name buttons brilliant.
No worries about remembering numbers for pre saved family members.
Hand set doesn't need to be recharged, or go missing from the base.
Easy set up too *****

No speaker button which is a key feature that you would expect every phone to have
Bought this phone for my mother who has Parkinson's and can't hold a receiver and needs to use a speaker button. Was shocked when it arrived with no speaker button, the maintenance man who was there to install it was also shocked, as we have both never seen a phone without a speaker button. Called the Oricom customer support team who said there was another option with a speaker button, so I guess I'm meant to zoom in and check all the buttons on the phone to ensure a key feature that you would expect to be there is. My feedback was that it s

Now they want me to pay to return the phone even though it was not clearly stated on their website that the phone does not have the speaker function that every phone has & you would expect it to have. Considering this is a product for the elderly & people with a disability, zero empathy or care was shown.Hi there, we have sent you a message privately to try and resolve this for you. If you could please provide your best contact number so we can call you to discuss that would be great. All the best, Oricom.
I put the review in mediation to give you a chance to resolve it privately and never heard from you, I only heard from you once I published it, the care factor is very low for customers when they have

Am very impressed with phone and service
Was looking for a phone that my partner could use with his ulcerated hands and tendency to accidently disconnect phone. With its large keypad and easy to understand volume buttons and redial, it has been a very welcome piece of technology. Also important to note, the first one they sent me was faulty. When i rang up to check if it was me or the phone, the person on the phone organised for another to be sent to me. It arrived a couple of days later. Now, that is good service. Thank you.

Excellent Solution for Mum
Purchased the CARE80 for 88yo Mum who is visually impaired, hearing on the slide, I set up the quick dials for her in minutes, this has proven an excellent solution which has made her more comfortable for making calls, backed up super speedy delivery & clear comm's from Oricom made the experience flawless.

The Oricom CARE80 is excellent
This phone has been a lifesaver for my elderly dad who has vision problems. He can call his friends with one click of the button. I've had to replace it once because it was knocked around in the nursing home and something in the ear piece was knocked loose. I ordered another one on line and it was delivered within a week.

Questions & Answers
I have just set up the ORICOM CARE80 handset. I have connected the handset directly into a “ Gaoke” modem that functions using a SIM card. The modem is plugged into power. I can call out successfully using the ORICOM handset, but when I phone the handset, it either goes straight to voicemail, or says, “the person you have called is not available.” What is wrong?
