Dualit Milk Frother DU84165

Faulty Product Avoid at All Costs! – Like other reviewers we were impressed by the quality of the froth it produced but the first one stopped working after 3 months and was replaced by the retailer. The second one lasted 11 months and also just stopped. The retailer (Myer) gave us a full refund and tellingly no longer stocks them!!!! Not surprisingly the product has been discontinued
Very disappointing for an expensive product – My dualit worked well until just outside the 12 month warranty period when it just stopped! Dualit were not in the least interested in the fact that their expensive product failed. I will stick to the cheap under $30 ones which work just as well - and have superior spouts on them that don't spill milk everywhere when you pour.
Great product and design – Appears to be well made, easy to clean and works very well, I did read a review that it is a bit slow, but in reality it provides plenty of froth for a couple of hot choccys, and it doesn't burn the bottom if you put enough milk in it. This one looks as though it's made with quality components and has good quality control on the finish and fittings. Time will tell if it stands the rigors of frequent use. Show reply
Lavazza frother – Mine accompanied the Electrolux coffee machine as a Christmas gift 3 years ago. The frother has been replaced at least 7 times since then with a staff member telling me they have had many complaints and even her personal one fails to work. it is a product to avoid unless you want to spent time ringing them - average call is accompanied by a long wait.
At last and easy clean no mess frother! – I bought a silver Dualit Milk brother after a most disappointing Breville experience. The Dualit works well and is very easy to clean and NEVER overflows. I like my milk extra hot so sometimes need to give it an extra zap in the microwave for 20 secs but I suspect that most people will be happy with the Dualit's existing temp.
Worked ok until it stopped – I bought this frother after reading some good reviews about it on this site, however my experience has been not so positive. I bought it to be able to froth or heat enough milk for two coffees. The machine was competent at this, as it has both functions however when I attempted to heat enough milk for 1 coffee, the machine just frothed the milk.… Read more
The frothed milk is difficult to extract from the unit as well because it becomes caught around the large plastic agitator unit. Therefore I found the machine is really only suitable for efficiently processing milk for two coffees at a time which is not very versatile.
One of the three clear rubber feet on the bottom of the milk jug came off after a couple of weeks and was lost, and then after approximately 6 weeks from purchase the unit stopped working completely. I am about to return the unit for a refund and purchase a different brand.
Perfect for any milk lover!! – UPDATE: Originally 5stars but has now stopped working. Shame because it was fantastic. Search mcphoney on the Internet for a video review! ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a wonderful and great little gadget! [link removed] But honestly the item is faultless! Easy to use, easy to clean, really quiet and my wife loves it too! So if you like your coffee, hot chocolate or milkshakes - then this is for you!!! Show details
BPA plastic, REALLY!!?? How disappointing – Look, the product works well (I did use it once), and it has fantastic reviews, but there was no clue when i purchased it that it had a plastic bit inside. Studies may be inconclusive with regards to BPA and other chemicals used in plastics, but I'm returning it for another brand that may not work as well. I emailed the company and was told there… Read more
may or may not be BPA in it...enough said. Can do 2 cups worth, 1 button push, easy to clean, doesn't burn milk. Plastic bit, that seems unneccesary.
Best milk frother I've come across!! – My FIL killed our old milk frother when he put it in a sink full of water to wash it and so we were on the hunt for a better one. The one that died was a Map Bella milk frother. It was hard to see the line you're supposed to fill up to and it used to always burn the milk at the bottom on one side of it. I had also seen a Nespresso aeroccino in… Read more
action and it wasn't much better.
After doing some research and reading reviews eventually discovered this one and am so glad we did. I bought it at Myer for $99 (so not cheap) however we are very happy with it. It is light inside and it is very easy to see the line to fill up to every time. It is extremely easy to clean as the whole frothing thing sits on a flat base (no raised bits like the nespresso aeroccino) and removes easily as magnetic only. This frother also does 2 cups of milk. It heats, it heats and froths or just does cold frothed milk if wanted.
I would definitely recommend it to others. The froth it makes is so velvety smooth and it makes a great capuccino. Does 2 cups, Easy to clean. Easy to see max lines. Excellent froth! Can be a bit time consuming. A little pricy
A perfect companion to a coffee pod machine! – Being a cappucino-holic when the decision was made to buy a pod machine, heating/frothing milk was still going to be a problem. It could be heated in the microwave but there had to be something better & this milk frother is just the answer. At the press of a button you have frothed, heated milk to make your cappucino...you can even make cold,… Read more
frothed milk, flat warm milk etc, but I love it frothed and heated!! I've even made frothed hot chocolate and frothed cold chocolate.
Just add milk, fit the lid press the button to select the type of milk you want and it's ready at the same time as the coffee from your Espresstoria machine and all while your toast is being done or croissants are warming in the microwave.
The Dualit milk frother also comes in white to match the white Espressotoria machine and both look perfect in my all white kitchen......perfectly suited!! Love this perfect companion to the Espressotoria Only one small thing but the clear plastic seal on the lid gets milk underneath, which needs to be cleaned and I'm not sure how long the seal will last due to being taken on/off regularly.
