Dualit Hand

3rd Time Lucky – The plastic casing on my FIRST Dulalit Hand Mixer melted and started "smoking " on it`s very first run >> it was quickly replaced with a SECOND one which had a faulty switch and never ever worked straight out of the box.................. SSooooo ........ onto Mixer number THREE ...and I can say.....I`ve hit the jackpot, because this one has been fantastic, still working well after four years now. The motor is very powerful ........the only thing is ...I wish it had a slower speed for gentle folding in...... my mixer just seems to go from fast >>>> faster............... other than that I like it !!

Mine blew up too – Had a similar experience. I realised that it was the fan that sits on the end of the motor that had been the cause of the explosion. Have been in touch with Dualit, but since i'm out of the 12 month warranty period they don't want to know about it. Wont be buying any Dualit products in the future

Fantastic Mixer! Does everything – I have had one of these for 7 years & I use it at least once a week & find it fantastic!! The 400w motor is nice & powerful & works well with dough hooks provided. Also one of the few hand mixers that comes with a whisk! Mine finally died yesterday (after 7 years of hard use) & I did not hesitate in buying the exact same thing again. Great machine, well worth the money. Retractable cord makes it nice & neat to shore. Highly recommend!

Blew up! – I have had this hand mixer for a few years without a problem - except last night it BLEW UP!!!!! Yes SPARKS and all -needless to say it also tripped a fuse!! Brought it back to where I purchased it (Peters of Kensington) they didn't want to know about it - wanted me to take it back to the manufacturer until I insisted that they deal with the manufacturer directly. Will keep you posted as to how I get on........ BLEW UP!!

Great hand held blender – We've had this for a couple of years after deciding to buy a hand held unit rather than spending lots of $$ on a bench mounted unit. It's great. Plenty of power, very solidly built and also a bit funky. Matt finish (we have the cream one) is much easier to keep clean than stainless steel unit. Come with whisk, beaters and dough hooks. Most frequent use of this is to make pizza dough using the hooks, so the unit takes a beating. Has internal cord storage in the end which sometimes get stuck, but you just pull it out and then wind it back in and it's ok. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the the first speed setting is slow, but the second is a fair bit quicker and sometimes I'd like a speed between the two. Attractive design, plenty of power, works really well. Too greater speed difference between 1st two settings (this is a really minor issue).
