Have this fitted in 2021 and after 4 years I have decided to change to it again. One of the best tires out there. Hard sidewalls, low noise and very last treads. A good tire for anyone a reasonable price Show details

Good all rounder – I've had these tyres for 18 months and 25k. They are wearing well. Road noise at highway speeds is good and they are wearing well. I do mostly highway kilometres and tow a 7x5 trailer. I find in the twisties they are not precise and can feel unstable. Other than that they are priced well and overall performance to date is good. I would buy them again providing the peice was competitive. Show details

Good tyre but unstable at high speed – I've been using these tyres for a few months now, great tyre however at Highway speeds it's not very stable. For example if you suddenly have to switch lanes due to debris on road, you feel the side walls of tyres flexing alot. Doesn't inspire confidence in those situations. Show details

High levels of grip, very good steering feel - BUT there's a price – I bought two FM800's for my '93 VR Commodore Acclaim in late 2018. Until about early 2020 the bulk of driven kms had been on the freeway - about 98% with the rare trip (once a year if that) to north east Vic. The rest until that time were around the inner city area of Melb - I mainly used public transport. Since moving to a rural area, I've only… Read more

made a few mountain road trips and limited local highway trips - the rest have been around the small town I live in. After I had two fitted on the front, there was an extraordinary improvement in the steering feel compared with the Dunlop Monza 200's which had been on for some years - the steering had become rubbery and had started to wander possibly in part as the Monza's tread compound had become pretty stiff - it was AWFUL. The FM800's are - as covered - really good in the wet. BUT I can hardly believe how much the tyres have worn particularly in the last couple of years just driving around town, and they've only done about 5,800 kms since I put them on. The tread on these is very soft which is in part why they grip so well - particularly in the wet. If you don't mind trading grip for wear (tread has probably about 55% depth left) that's fine. In the meantime I've decided to go for another highly rated brand that I know wear a lot better AND grip in the wet.

Great in wet and comfortable ride. Precise steering – Got this Dunlop LM800 from Jax tyres. Previous tyres comes with the car at the factory was crap absolutely, un-named korean tyres that was dangerous in the wet and give rough ride. So after last few seasons of heavy rain, i need a reliable safe tyres that is good in the rain. I don’t care about longevity, so the priority is on wet performances and… Read more

stopping power. So far the LM800 exceeded expectations. Cornering is so grippy in the dry and the reduce noises and comfortable ride is unexpected bonus. The steering is direct without vibration through the steering wheel at cruising speed. Whole week been raining and for once i didnt feel unsure about the road conditions. While crappy unnamed tyres would skid across the road this tyres just stick and barely budge. Barely notice the wet road. Yep the LM800 is true wet road performer. The sticky high silicon compound worth ever $$$. Will buy again. 5 stars ⭐️

Very good grip in the wet !! – Purchased 4 new Dunlop Sport FM800 (185/65R15) from Bob Jane T-marts with 3+1 special the other week, and saved $171. The old tyres would spin very easily in the wet, however these new Dunlops are brilliant and have very good grip in the wet and dry. They also provide a very comfortable ride. Show details

An excellent tyre - great value for money – Would highly recommend these tyres especially for wet driving. 18 months later and I'm still very impressed with their handling ability and sporty feel. I would rate road noise as 'normal' as a camry is not exactly a silent highway cruiser. Ask around for deals as these tyres are cheap compared with other brands. $475 for all 4x tyres, fitted and balanced with Black Friday and buy 3 get 1 free deal. Can't be happier. Show details

Safety I expect with the looks that give me the extra I look for and deserve – These Dunlop's are a tyre that give me very good wear and tear, aswell as doing it with a whisper of road noise. Although many tyres can perform in dry conditions, my Dunlop's are awesome in the wet. Very satisfied. Show details

Great general purpose tyres – Perform very well in all road conditions. Used in the wet and held the road as well as in the dry. No difference from the original run-flat tyres. No discernible change in fuel consumption. No change in cornering and awaiting wear length. As yet we have not had these tyres fitted long enough to determine their durability. Show details

Excellent choice for spirited driving – I'm comparing my new tyres to my previous tyre Goodyear EfficientGrip. I was considering getting a new set of EfficientGrips because they have lasted 10 years and they have been outstanding in all seasons, but Bob Jane were able to offer a buy-3-get-1-free offer on these Dunlops FM800s instead. (The EfficientGrip had since been replaced by… Read more

EfficientGrip Performance and an EfficientGrip Performance 2 is availabe in some markets, but Goodyear didn't reply to my question as to when it would be sold in Australia (win for Dunlop).

I drive a 2000 Mitsubishi Magna. As the front wheels have to steer and drive the front wheels, cheap tyres tend to spin on greasy roads at traffic lights. I'm not a hoon, but I do tend to accelerate quite quickly so I need good traction.

Compared to the Goodyears, I would say these are more comfortable and absorb a little more of the roughness of Australian roads. Grip in the wet is excellent thank to the wide and deep channels. Noise is only slightly louder than the EfficientGrip, but still very good. Somehow the steering seems 'lighter' when driving the car now which is great when parking but I think it makes the car feel slightly less 'accurate' than the EfficientGrip.

I can't rate these tyres for emergency braking or durability as I've only put a few hundred kms on them.

Overall I'd definitely get these tyres again if they can last 10 years and there was an offer but I'd also recommend the Goodyear EfficientGrip. I'm sure they's suit most cars, but I'd highly recommend for a Magna / 380, Camry, Falcon or Commodore.

Pro: Great value when on sale. Comfortable. Excellent wet and dry grip. Reasonably quiet. Easier to steer. Con: Slight vagueness in accuracy Not tested: Durability, emergency braking, fuel economy

EDIT: Price was for 16 inch tyres

Less road noise than my previous Bridgestone – Performed well in wet conditions, feels less noisy than my previous Bridgestone b250. I reset my fuel economy calculator, so far it shows .2 litres per 100km lesser than my previous average. I have had the previous tyres for 7 years so rolling resistance should have been much lower previously so comparing those Tyers Dunlop’s doing well. Overall I love the new tyres.  Show details

Great handling and quiet – My car previously used Dunlop SP Sport 01 before it worn out. When I was driving on the old Dunlop, I never had any issues. I knew someone who uses other brand that came across pimple on their tyre rubber after hitting small pothole. I was originally intended to swap with the same model of tyre, but it is no longer produced and glad it happened.… Read more

So, I decided to give Dunlop Sport FM800 a go. It makes a whole lot difference to the car handling and how smooth the ride is now. The grip is also very good in dry and wet conditions. It makes me very confident driving around the corner.

Now, a year and 25,000km later, the tyre still looking healthy, and no leaking issues.

Great tyres, price and service – I purchased a set of 4x Dunlop Sport FM800 from Beaurepairs Kew in July 2018 and after 6 months driving in various conditions have found them to be excellent tyres. The staff at Beaurepairs were really helpful discussing the tyre options for my 2009 Ford Falcon XR6 and offered a competitive deal on the Dunlop tyres. They also include a free tyre… Read more ·  1

rotation at any store and will be be getting this done after 6,000km now.

The tyre size is 245×45x17 which is a low profile tyre but the Dunlop tyres feel comfortable and matched to the suspension.

I have driven in all conditions including an extreme wind & rain storm coming back from Adelaide in September and they have always felt safe in the wet and dry. Quiet at high speed and breaking response is excellent even in the wet.

I regularly drive on the freeway (off-peak with less traffic) and inner city driving with congested stop/start conditions and the tyres have always provided excellent, quiet performance

I am not a hard driver on the tyres and expect many years safe mileage on these tyres.

Very sarisfied.

Quality – The Dunlop FM800 Sport Tyre is very quite on the road, road grip is excellent on all road conditions. Also like to compliment Mark Thomas and his staff from Beaurepaire Geelong for the recommendation and guidance in selecting the best tyre for my car. Furthermore, the tyre looks good and wears well.  Show details ·  1

Great tyres for the price, equal to Turanza ER300s – Grip is exceptional, but that might be me comparing it to my end of life Bridgestone Turanza ER300s. Feels very grippy in turns, wet or dry. Dramatically improved braking distance and effort over the ER300s. Bought during end of Financial Year sale for $132 per 225/45 R17 tyre. Mine were made in Thailand. Cannot comment on durability of tyres as yet.  Show details ·  1

Great tyre for your car – This is a quality Silica based tyre that has good handling characteristics in the wet and dry. These have been on for 2 yrs without loss of performance. they are also reasonably priced and available locally. As an all-round tyre they are in the top category. The tyre has a deep tread pattern for wet handling and you really do feel the road through the steering when you drive on them.  Show details

Very good tyre – I've been driving since 1985 and this tyre is a price/performance leader at summertyre category. Every conditions dry, wet or cornering responses are very well. After 15000km there is no performance loss. No difference from factory fitted old michelin hp2. Reason why I dont choose same brand is michelins are very expensive.  Show details

The best small car tyre I've ever experienced in 24 years of driving only small cars – The nicest, smoothest, most comfortable handling of a small car I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I was very happy with my previous set - Dunlop Fastresponse - from around 4-5 years ago, but the cornering was a little too powerful; that feeling of being on rails. I went in to Tyrepower with my mind set on some Michelin tyres... and the… Read more

friendly staff there talked me into these FM800's instead. The fact that they were brand new on the market and being offered at a special price was also a bonus.

If you drive a small, light car like mine and are in need of a full set of tyres, I would highly recommend these.

Quality handling tyre – The Dunlop Sport FM800 is new in 2016, It's a high Quality Silica based tyre with beautiful road handling and very direct road feel and cornering.
