Dunlop Viscoflex

After one year, sleeping onthe couch – We bought our bed a year ago and I started getting back pain about 4 months ago. I didn't connect the dots with the bed until I slept on a different bed and didn't wake up with back pain (I thought I was just getting older...). I wish we could take the bed back, but the store we bought it from is out of business and we lost our receipt... lesson learned? Keep your receipts with big purchases! An expensive lesson for us. We are buying a new bed again, and I have spent a ton of money on a chiropractor to boot. :(

Big fans – I've had low back pain for years. Since using the Viscoflex memory foam overlay on a fairly firm mattress, my back has never been better. (And I swear I've tried everything!). It feels a little strange when you first sink into it, and perhaps not as comfortable for sitting up in bed, but then, that's not what it is designed for! Its on the expensive side, but worth it.

Like sleeping on a cloud – After years sleeping on a very firm mattress (assuming it was best for back pain) I slept on a friend's softer mattress for a week. I thought I would be in terrible shape on a softer bed but instead experienced wonderful relief. So I purchased this underlay which gave a new lease to my old mattress and really helped with the lower back pain. Got one for my mum but she found it made her feel hot. However, I love it and know a few other people who do too.

I've had mine for a few years and it still bounces back even though I'm heavy. Therefore, if yours sags or loses shape, there is something wrong with it! Extended the life of my current mattress. Feels soft and comfortable with the durability of a firm bed underneath. Slides and I have to tug it back a few centimetres once a week to straighten it when I'm making the bed. No big deal.

We love it – After having inner spring mattresses for years, we decided to try the dunlop viscoflex with a memory foam top. We would never have an inner spring again. It is the most comfortable mattress ever, no backache, no hip problems because your spine is always aligned. We wake up feeling refreshed. The best part is you dont feel your partner move. So comfortable

Terrible – I think they lack support as they are foam based. I think the quality of the foam is not very good as it does not recover as advertised. They are definitely no good for anyone suffering from joint or back pain. Lacks support and has indentations after 6 months we are climbing up the middle of the mattress. Sore Back and headaches after sleeping on it.
