I have also added a super plush mattress protector that I had previously on top so it’s like sleeping on a supportive cloud. upgraded both the base/style and mattress from our original purchase, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. Customer service, which has always been second to none, has somehow improved even further. The communication throughout - emails, calls and texts - was proactive, clear and professional. A big shout out to Steph, Zoey and the wider team for their outstanding support.
On delivery day, everything worked like clockwork. From Customer Service coordination to the installation team onsite, it was clear everyone operates in unison. The installation crew were fantastic - positive, capable, professional and even up for a laugh. No issue fazed them.
Despite the challenges of a second-storey delivery and a sloping driveway, the team handled everything effortlessly. Installation took just on an hour, and their workmanship and care were evident throughout. Well presented, well organised and clearly masters of their craft.
Their sheet sets, duvets, and overall quality of their products is amazing, we just bundled everything for ease.
We genuinely cannot fault Sleeping Duck.

started to develop a dent or valley so to speak after 3-4 months…. The manufacturer is trying to blame on ‘weight distribution’ and it’s not their manufacturer issue… I had neck, shoulder and hip pains from the previous mattress, and since swapping to a sleeping duck, it has done absolutely wonders. I am suffering from shoulder pain atm but that’s not from the sleeping duck, it’s from the previous mattress which unfortunately has been due months of uncomfortable sleeping - tbh I will probably need to seek treatment for it (fyi I’m in my early 30s and active for the most part). In just a week the sleeping duck has been a game changer and honestly it has been incredible - my hip and neck pain is gone!
If you’re on the fence, just do it and don’t wait ! The longer you wait, more time passes which leads you too sleepless and uncomfortable nights. Oh and the other mattress that we purchased from the local shop costed more than the sleeping duck - so it’s honestly a bargain. FYI though the SD in the box is pretty heavy and was a work out taking it up stairs to our room, but it has been totally worth it. Sorry for the rumble but I know for myself who was on the fence for months and literally going through a battle with the other mattress company, and dealing with so much pain and suffering, the Sleeping Duck has completely changed my sleeping experience - thank you SD for creating a product that actually works and not a gimmick!
A way better adjustable mattress that can be cleaned and modified! – We have had a Sleeping Duck SD Mach II mattress for about two months. The whole process from order to delivery to unwrapping was easy and seamless. The mattress is quite heavy to move but is perfectly manageable by two people. 'anti-gravity' layer (pictured) which appears to be in it's own removable cover (zip2). Beneath that is another removable (zip3) 'ComponentAdapt' cover that contains the precision adjustment pads. Beneath this is the main mattress body which appears to be a non-adjustable unit containing springs. With this construction the mattress can be rotated but not flipped.
Our mattress shipped with two full length precision pads. We chose Medium when we ordered the mattress, but it also came with a 'Firmness Adjustment' offer for 100 days which has allowed us to get smaller precision pads to vary the firmness of the mattress for hips and shoulders on each side. The smaller precision pads for our King size mattress seem to come in either a 1/5 or 1/10 size pad. The 1/5 size pads are currently (Aug24) available in either Soft, Medium, Firm or Extra Firm and the 1/10 size pads in either Medium or Firm. Sleeping Duck encourage you to try each arrangement for 3 weeks which we did. I then spoke to someone at Sleeping Duck who helped me work out how we could adjust the mattress to get a little more support under the hips and a little less under the shoulders. They sent me the precision pads which were easy to install and gave my wife and I our own customised fits. They have since supplied us with a couple of extra pads to fine tune this even further. All at no cost to us. Amazing.
Is it comfortable - for me, yes. I have back and neck issues and rarely sleep through the night and the quality and duration of sleep I get is far better. We recently stayed at a fancy resort with plush beds and I found myself wishing for my Sleeping Duck! I love that I have been able to add extra support under my hips but also to give more softness under my shoulder while still supporting my head. It is far better and cheaper than our previous super expensive Tempur which was too soft in summer and too hard in winter. It is also far better and cheaper than our previous MySide which was awful, collapsed and was not supported by the company who sold it.
So dealing with the company from ordering through to support has all been amazing. So far the mattress which seems really well made has just been getting better and better. It's hard to say how the components will be after 5-6 years but what I do know is that the cover will have been washed and cleaned unlike our old MySide mattress and we can replace individual components inside the mattress (unlike wither mattress) if required. This gives me a very confident feeling that this is the mattress style of the future.
There is a leap of faith, ordering a mattress online without the ability to go to a showroom and try it. Sleeping Duck can't solve that completely but I have been super impressed by the commitment they have shown to making sure the mattress suits us. Thank you Sleeping Duck.

BEWARE OF THE WHEELS ON THE MATTRESS BOX! DAMAGE ++ to floors. I wanted to give 5 stars as love the mattress but the box it came in destroyed some of my hard wood floor. any sort of compensation which was disappointing. They referred me to sleeping duck “get ready” email where they suggest to avoid wheels on hard floors. TBH I can’t even remember seeing this when I initially watched video. It would be difficult to avoid wheels on floors given they are screwed into the box. I had to unscrew them to avoid further damage to my floor and stairs when manoeuvrings up the stairs.
Better warning and emphasis on avoiding hard wood floors (perhaps big warning sticker on box or something) would have been helpful- maybe don’t put wheels on full stop…

Indestructible bed 5/5 So as the name suggests it is built like a tank and the materials used are of high quality. Essentially you need to build it on the spot you want it to remain as it would be heavy to move even with the help of two people. The build itself is not too difficult but there are lots of bolts screws etc. Fortunately everything lined up so no great dramas here. I did however looked on the internet for a YouTube video which shows the build process. That was incredibly helpful and gave me the confidence to proceed with the order.
Mattress 3/5 This is the interesting bit and subjective. I come from having your standard inner spring Sealy mattress. So I am used to a more responsive mattress. Foam does have a different feel about it. The other thing I had noticed during my testing period, which was predominantly the summer months, I found that it retained a bit of heat. This is why I deliberated for such a long time on whether or not to keep this mattress. I was determined to see if this could be resolved as I like all the other aspects of the mattress including a removable washable cover and swapping around the foam for longevity. I went about changing the component adapt foam and purchasing the SD sheets and duvet. These things did not help much or if any. I was coming to the end of my trial period and thought there is a lot to like about this mattress and spring base but what more can I do. This isn’t rocket science. I have been reading a lot about latex. Perhaps this can both address responsiveness and heat retention. I took a chance and bought a Quokka basic latex topper and replaced the antigravity foam with it. At this point the trial period was about to end so it was a risk. Certainly the topper had the responsiveness I was happy with but I don’t think it truly addressed the heat retention. Heat retention is a double edged sword. In summer it is not great but in winter it is a blessing.
Sheets and Duvet 4/5 The sheets and duvet are incredibly soft and light weight. Although for me they don’t address heat retention of the mattress they are a good addition.

offered a trial period is what sold us on taking the plunge. We initially tried the medium firmness but I personally found it too firm- SD messaged me to check in and I switched it out for the soft firmness topper (very easy to do with great step by step instructions provided). My husband kept his medium until he felt my side and then he too opted for the soft topper! 10/10 service and communication the whole way through and there was no extra charge for switching out the toppers- would recommend Sleeping Duck to anyone looking for a great quality bed and mattress.
Follow-up · The bed frame was easy to install and came with step by step instructions and a video! They offer a range of delivery options and you can even pay for installation if needed.

frame, but we are still astounded at the quality of the mattress. We weren't sure whether we needed a KING!- but Oh Boy- yes it takes up a lot of room, but it's so nice to stretch out! PLUS and I guess this is what most people are interested in, the mattress itself is fabulous. We went with the firm on one side- medium on the other. I like firm, but I was a little unsure if it might be too firm. IT IS PERFECT. My wife likes the medium, and when I lie on it- I think- yeah I could sleep really well on that too! So far we have turned the mattress once and unzipped the top cover to switch the inserts to the other side- all worked as expected. There was a lot of discussion in forums about not being able to lift the corners to put the sheets on??? What- I don't think that at all. I was prepared to do this if it came down to it- however my wife did it easily! I know the mattress is not a 'budget' offering, but in this case you really do get what you pay for. that you can have a half-and-half setup, allowing two different firmness levels in the same bed, it makes such a difference.
I also purchased the side-sleeper pillow, and it’s excellent. It’s the only pillow I’ve used that actually maintains its height, so I don’t wake up with shoulder or neck pain.
On top of that, the customer service is outstanding. I had several questions and requests throughout the process, and every time I received prompt, kind, and helpful responses. This has genuinely been the best customer service experience I’ve ever had, I wish all companies operated like this.
I would absolutely recommend giving the Sleeping Duck bed a try. If you’re looking for real comfort, customisation, and great sleep, this is it.

response, and was sent, within 3 days (regional area) 2 extra firm inserts to change over to make the mattresses extra firm. I was also immediately emailed instructions, but it could not have been easier to change them over...less than 5 minutes for each, on my own and I'm not strong at all. We are extremely happy with the result and comfort level. It was interesting unzipping the layers of the mattress, you get to see how well it is made and the materials used. It really is great quality. We are going to swap all our mattresses over to Sleeping Duck mattresses, expecially when you can adjust them for free if you make a mistake. Thank goodness I am off the mattress merry-go-round because I have finally found the best....and no, I was not asked to do a review.

When I was looking for a new mattress I had shopped around for a while at bedding and department stores. The things that made me try Sleeping Duck was the offer of the trial period and different firmness options, the option to have two firmness options on one bed was very good for my situation. Now that I have slept on the mattress for a few months I am very happy I chose this mattress. I also spent a lot less money than I could have on other brands that didn't have the options that SD has.

I've had a SD since 2019 and it's been great as far as mattresses go, however as I get older, changing the sheets is an exercise in heavy lifting and the hand grips on the sides of the mattress are too far away from the corners to be useful.
