The Dyson Purifier Cool, like many other Dyson products, is visually impressive and as well designed. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The units are overpriced, high-maintenance, and supported by some of the worst product support I have experienced to date. I own two of these air purifiers and I deeply regret purchasing them. There are constant software issues, including poor compatibility with top-tier Samsung phones. Even worse, the filter monitoring system is dysfunctional: filters that are approximately 25 percent used are shown as “full” and the warning cannot be reset. I purchased new original Dyson filters and the units continued to report them as full. It is also nearly impossible to identify the correct model from the product label, and contacting Dyson support in Australia is equally impossible. The level of assistance and product knowledge is inadequate and the customer experience is extremely poor. My advice is simple: avoid this overpriced Dyson product. You can obtain more reliable, better supported, and easier to maintain air purifiers from reputable online companies or major manufacturers at a much lower cost.

Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $850.

After speaking to a very friendly service person, I got my air purifier going. It was a rather unusual procedure. Thank you for the advise.

"Smart" device decided it no longer turns on and Dyson won't help without a huge fee – I bought two of these things only for BOTH to stop working shortly after the warranty ended. They display a triangle with an exclamation point and refuse to do anything else or connect to the app. Dyson wants another $400 to repair them at the repair center 20km's away. I can buy literally any other air purifier from another company for that price, not even considering these two cost $1600 already. I will never buy another Dyson product after this experience.

They also occasionally made a loud whining sound that won't stop unless turned off for a while (back when they still turned on). And the app and remotes were slow to respond making it annoying to change the fans settings.

Purchased in for $800.

I have done this and was advised that the machines are broken (despite still turning on, just displaying an error message instead of working) and require a $200 repair each, which is ridiculous considering their cost. As stated in my review.

Very feeble air flow on MAX setting (10) - go and buy a real fan instead. Expensive junk – Bought this Dyson TP07 Cooling tower fan/purifier today from JB HiFi (Greensborough) as the weather is heating up - been wanting one of these impressive looking gadgets for a while as they look really cool - but the price had always put me off. For the price I paid today (marked way down - on sale to only AUD$600) I was expecting a pretty robust air flow - like a regular, cheap ~$100 pedestal fan - but boy was I wrong! Chugging away on the noisy, maximum setting (10) the Dyson TP07 fan is loud but with the most feeble air current being produced! I sat about ~1.2m directly in front and it produces barely even a light puff. I troubleshooted looking up the online manual, YouTube help videos and Dyson forums - but nup this is as good as it gets. WTH? What's even the point of it? Note: My tiny, old but quiet(ish) $40 desktop fan produces about 3x the air flow of this large TP07 tower fan that's running on MAX/10 setting. (I even tried removing the TP07 filters - but still no difference) This is most disappointing appliance I have EVER bought in 50years and definitely NOT fit for purpose - I'm going to return it tomorrow. Expensive junk. Dyson - please stick to vacuum cleaners.

Overpriced, Lovely Design, Good Air filter, Poor Cooling – Update2: Finally earned its keep! Air Purifier Woke up with strong smoke smell from back burning, shut all windows and turned the Dyson on for air filtering. Particle level showed v high, but within about 5mins whole room was clearing and could breath normally again. Went back to sleep - thank goodness its quiet. Thought smoke was gone when I woke up as air was good but opened doors to thick smoke smell. Definitely amazing at air purifying and essential if you live somewhere with low quality air. Still poor at cooling

Update: Definitely regretting this purchase, could've spent 1/4 the money on a fan. Might not have looked as good but would've been more effective. Buy the one that heats as well if you want this style, at least it might be more use.

Looks amazing, but..... If you have big storage, small room and need a purifier this is probably just the thing. but dont buy it for a fan. I almost took it straight back….~$800 for a pretty but mediocre fan. ….given its been such a cool summer probably going to regret not taking it back next year. And given that it doesn't heat its going to become an expensive floor statue over winter.

Pros - Look: 10/10 gorgeous. - Safety:10/10 no moving parts….as long as you don’t have to move it. - Noise: Quiet - Remote Control: Useful, small. on/off, rotation, speed etc. - Rotation: Choose from none right up to 350 degrees. - Easy to pause it where you want….but you need the remote. Purifier - Like the little screen that it tells you what its sensing VOC etc. (again app wouldve been better) - Useful? I never seem to have much in my environment so probably wasn’t worth the extra $$

Cons - Size: Huge, unwieldy to move and doesn't fold or come apart to fit in a cupboard. - Cost: eye watering - Cooling: Mediocre (No refrigeration so was never going to be 'cool') - Doesn't move air as much as standard cheap floor standing fan, even at full speed. - 3m range - need to be within 3m to get any benefit and speed at least 7 at 3m - Note the marketing says Cools 'You'….not the room… - Heat: Doesn't do heat. - Remote: need remote for everything, only on/off on purifier….so don’t misplace it. - App?: Cant connect to the Dyson App….mixed information whether it works with app or not - Packaging: OK. Dyson normally all environmental cardboard, but this was sadly also wrapped in plastic

Verdict - not worth the money..... unless you have air quality issues or happy to splurge for design.
