that it has the power to do all my standard cleaning without any effort. Having no cables it is easily carried around the house and manoeuvred under furniture. It performs it's job well, collecting dirt and hair effectively and almost always on the first pass as you would expect it to.

When you remove the stick to use the head and vacuum alone, it is perfect for cleaning smaller spaces in the car etc. The included combination tool is a convenient head for these types of purposes, as you can switch between hard surfaces and more fiddly and delicate areas with a quick slide and click, not having to remove one head to attach another.

Max suction mode does drain the battery very quickly, so don't plan on using this all the time, but it's nice to have it there for those times you need some quick power. When it comes time to empty, I find the barrel super easy to empty with the simple pull mechanism directing the mess to exactly where it should be.. in the bin.

Probably my favourite use for this vacuum though is for those sudden "someone's just called to say they'll be here in 5mins!" dart-about-madly tidy ups. You can run it around the living areas and kitchen and have it back in it's wall dock before your guests even arrive in your driveway ;) No time wasted pulling out cables or switching between power points.

extremely low maintenance care of one machine washable filter monthly. When my v7 eventually dies, I'm definitely happy to invest in an upgraded model now that I know how well they work.

Cleans very well and has helped with my dust allergy – I have used my Dyson V7 Motorhead Origin on tiles and carpet. When I unpacked the box, the instructions were really easy to understand and the assembly of the attachments was straightforward. One thing to note with the Dyson V7 Motorhead Origin is that it does not come with the crevice tool (ideal for tight corners) and this part is included in other V7 models. However, ordering this extra part was a seamless process through the Dyson call centre.

The battery life of 20 minutes using the motorised tool was also accurate when I actually used the Dyson V7 Motorhead Origin.

I would highly recommend this product and if you're lucky, you could score a great deal like click frenzy.

What a lemon – Absolute rubbish , purchased the V7 from Harvey Norman in Preston Vic and the battery did not last more than 3 weeks .... we have since purchased a shark and it outperforms the V7 by at least 3000% The so called billionaire owner of Dyson should be ashamed of selling faulty items.  Show details

I love my Dyson would never go back to a corded vacuum cleaner – I use my Dyson on hard floors and carpet. The Dyson performs well on both surfaces. So easy to use no cord to fight with and no need to unplug things from any power points to vaccum. Show details

Gam changer - wish I’d bought one sooner – I probably use this everyday as it’s so easy to just grab and go with no cord to consider. Perfect for getting up the crumbs from 2 small children. We have a mix of hardwood and carpets and can’t believe how much it picks up every time we use it. Easy to use – Very easy and smooth to use. The vacuum lasts about 20 to 25 mins on normal speed and about 7 minutes on max power. The dust bin is very easy to use,just press the button to release the dust into the bin. Easy to charge, it came with a docking station. Show details

Impressive! – I recently moved into a large open plan home with wooden floors and a few large rugs. Sweeping is easy but getting out the old vacuum for the rugs and lounges was so frustrating. day now! It's just so easy! I have it on low for the wooden floors and 'flip' it to hard when I come to a rug. It's so easy vacuuming window sills, cupboards and drawers out. The attachments are so easy to change and the smaller one is fantastic on the furniture, lounges and EVEN the beds. I love the way it just hangs on the rack with spots for all of the attachments and is ready to go whenever I need it.
