A professional job well done – I was referred to E-Smart by an electrician. Phill provided 3 different quotes and a lot of detail, to enable "fine tuning" after more questions from me. I now have a great new solar system complete with many batteries in a stack, ready for more, if winter conditions demand it. I also have a diesel generator and Automatic Transfer Switch to make it easy to manage our frequent and long blackouts. On installation, a couple of small changes were made, to suit the environment to maximise power generation and storage. I am very happy with the job done, on time, professional and, from my perspective, easy.

Fantastic result – I am very happy with the team from e-Smart Solar. Fast, efficient, and quality work. From first contact with Phill, I was convinced this was the right company to deal with. He explained the difference between different types of systems available. Inspected the property and addressed many concerns like being in the blue mountains we have lots of trees and suitability of roof condition. Swapped around the design from large system to a smaller one to show benefits and weakness of both. Battery no or battery, no question was to much to ask and answers jargon free. Started when they said, answered the phone true professionals.

Solar Installation – As a result of two friends giving E-Smart Solar a total recommendation to us, we can now say we too have had a completely satisfying solar installation experience. The quality of the product, the care in planning for our system to give best results, to the workmanship and professional conduct of the total team has been exemplary. Highly recommended. Slippery and full of it! – My new rural home was completed in September 2021. It is over one and half kilometres from electricity lines. Before my home commenced someone gave me the phone number for esmart solar. The director of esmart solar attended the site and instructed the builder and electricians of his requirements to complete an off grid system suitable for my home. The system included a back up generator incase of inclemant weather. To lower any stress on the solar I purchased a gas oven, gas cooktop, solar hot water with gas backup.

All of these gas installations still require electric sensors should the gas turn off the sensors shut them down incase the gas turns back on. My tankwater is supplied by an electric pump for shower, toilets etc.

The system supplied and installed by esmart solar had problems almost from day one. The power cut off, the generator didn't turn on to compensate. They came out and then the generator would start (cut in) and ran continuosly until out of fuel after being filled again with more fuel (diesel) the generator needed to be bled to start. During this and covid I was waiting on total hip replacement surgery and with difficulty walking I couldn't bend down under the verandah to fix the generator. Next time the generator started the same thing, it didn't stop! Each time this was a constant eight hours of thumping noise listening to the generator throb.

After another five or six visits by the director of esmart solar, he installed a internet connection that he could monitor from his phone and a manual switch on the side of the solar box to turn the generator off if it didn't stop on it's own. It didn't. Then after another four or five visits the generator turned off on it's own. Yay! you might think. Not really as it didn't cut in when the batteries were flat, suddenly halfway through cooking dinner, watching tv or having a shower you were (I mean me) in total darkness. Each time the Director visited it was in his time frame, not mine and no matter my inconvenience. Many times on his visits I had friends visiting, we weren't consuming power but having drinks on my front verandah. I was booked for my hip replacement an elderly lady friend came to look after my dogs while I was in hospital, it's now July 2022. We listened to the generator running all day and sat in the dark with candles and had sandwiches for dinner. Again after several visits he claimed "the system should be right now". Ha, ha, ha, how many times had he already said that. After five days in hospital I was home mid July 2022. Again we were in the dark mid winter. Did I mention that many times he asked me to find someone local to fix his generator or the time I asked him just replace it as it's not fit for purpose or the time he actually came out and took it away for a few days but before leaving said "it just started in my van. Do you want me to put it back?". No!

A few days later my generator returned on the back of a truck with two young Johnnies. To get it off their truck, as it was too heavy to lift. it was tilted from horizontal to ninety degrees and lowered to the ground (oops there goes your warranty). He took my 30 metre extension lead half curled up and plugged it in to a battery charger he left hanging under my verandah in a nylon bag, lovely fire starter. Let's cut to the chase. I regularly since their last visit August maybe, but definately July 2022 (I was taking endone for my hip) I have started the generator about once a fortnight. The generator doesn't start or cut in. I called him, left message, I texted him, I emailed him.

The response: it's out of warranty try the business I bought it from. In any terms the system doesn't work without the generator he advised on the system, he installed the system yet less than ten months from his last attendance to something he recommended doesn't work and he is walking away saying it's my problem.

Best of luck. The installation area is still a pigstye from his empty fuel can, wire cuttings, charger and generator in the dirt.

All I can say is look elsewhere God Bless
