Not a bad saw but it’s no Stihl

    published

I have wines one of these for 6 years.
My previous saw for 25 years was a stihl.
This is no match for the stihl in any way.
Have had to replace two sprockets in 6 years and almost due for another.
It goes well enough. The chain brake in front of the handle is poorly designed and rubs your knuckles when working down low.
For the money go for a stihl.
If they were half the price they would be worth it.

I won a Echo CS-420 ES at the end of 2011, I use it all the time and not once has it not started on the second pull. It's lite on the back but has plenty of grunt and much easier on the ears, low kickback in fact I have never had it kickback at all on me yet I have had the nose of the bar where you would think it would. I would not trade this saw for anything
easy of fuel, less vibration, well balenced, smoth running
you might get tired because it has a long run time on one tank of fuel
