Not powerful enough, always breaks down – Bought this thing years ago as I have many trees surrounding my property, it picks up leaves ok but won't pick up small twigs, so you have to follow it up with a broom or blower. back into the shed until I can try and fix it at a later time when I don't feel like kicking the wheels off it. I usually carry on the cleaning with a broom or blower. Huge waste of money, don't be tempted to buy one.

Excellent for artificial grass – Purchased an echo vac sac VS 2100 to vacuum my front & rear garden artificial turf. It does an awesome job works better when you drag it towards you rather than push also good on concrete .used to use a blower vac before , found it to be pretty useless. Great machine when operating,useless when broken down – We have a big problem with gum tree leaves dropping into our yard and pool area,so I bought ECHO vac which does a fantastic job of cleaning the leaves. The problem we are having is that the blower impeller keeps chewing out it's mounting boss and parting company from the engine drive spindle. Surely a company as big as ECHO can provide better service than that.Please ECHO, you have a great product don't let it down with such poor supplier backup.

Bag is terrible – Bag is useless, as you vacuum the dirt blows out of the bag, you end up wearing it! Has a liner but only a small opening to empty the contents out of, which makes it impossible. The liner is delicate & has perished within a year, so now my vac just sits there. Waste of money!!!  Show details

Great garden vac, but needs a little refining – Bought a new Echo Vac Sac VS2100 3 weeks ago. We have a major eucalypt leaf problem for 6-8 months of the year. Tried rake, mower, electric blower/vac but hard work every couple of weeks. Really pleased with Echo Vac - easy to start, push and maneuver with excellent performance on concrete and pebbles. adjustment was not right for grass height. Will have to experiment more. Believe the design could be improved by 1) adding a throttle lock; 2) making the front height adjusting wheels wider so they work better on pebbles and sand; 3) strengthening the neck and throat of the inner liner bag. Mine tore after the first use because of cut twigs ejecting into the bag, I reinforced the throat and neck with tape and cloth so that it has survived 4 uses so far. Have tried to purchase another inner liner bag from the supplier and still not available 2 weeks later. Found it's best to separate any twigs from the leaves before vacuuming to minimise this problem.

10 weeks on: Still very happy with the Echo Vac. Starts easily when primed. Well worth picking up all twigs and branches (I use a litter pick up grabber) 1st. I now always blow the leaves into a central pile or row with a battery operated blower, then use the Echo Vac. Have received the replacement inner liner, which I have reinforced around the throat and neck with cloth, glued onto the liner. Has extended the life of the liner bags considerably, but found it harder to remove leaves (though not impossible). Have not preserved with using it on uncut lawn as the mower does a better job and I don't have to pick up the twigs before-hand.

12 months on: The Echo Vac continues to work well. Found that it is easier to vacuum leaves on stones by pulling, rather than pushing the Vac. 2nd inner liner torn around the neck and will need replacement soon.

2 years on. Frustrated by the need to continually repair / replace bags because of damage caused by twigs. Found a mower is almost as effective even over pebbles (adjust the height setting appropriately) and I don't have to worry about removing twigs. The Echo Vac is still running well. A pity that the bags are so easily damaged.

Jan 2018 - Bought a spare bag 18 months ago and stored it in the garden shed. When I came to use it today it broke up in my hand. The heat appears to have decomposed the fabric and made it very brittle. So don't store spare bags where they are likely to encounter high temperatures! Very poor design.

Much Better Than a Blower – Super light and you push it around instead of holding it. Starts great and being petrol there is no extension cord to lug around. sucks up most debris but be careful in sand as you will get a bit blown back onto you. bag holds a decent amount of grass clippings and leaves enough to do my whole back yard in a single go. and as such the fuel tank broke when i hit it accidentally one day so a quick trip to the local mower shop and 3 days later i had a tank petrol cap and some fuel lines and a filter cost about 60 dollars and away i went again.

Good product backed up by replacement parts still

Bad does generate a bit of dust if you have a lot of sand.

Good product, spoiled by poor after-sales service – This little machine is a ripper. It's light, easy to start, and does a great job. It's very reliable, like other Echo products I have used. I will never buy another Echo product for this reason. Light weight, easy to start. Shocking after sales service, or rather lack of it. Not the reseller's fault, but the distributor's.
