Eco Elite

The real cost / benefit of Solar Instillation – I bought two solar systems from Eco Elite. At a cost of around 40k , a big investment but the figures shown by the sales person [Name Removed] suggested this to be a worthwhile investment. One system for my office, one for my home. The one at my office is performing reasonably well, but still requires some payment to my service provider. It was sold on the basis it would pay for it self, in savings, so arguably a worthwhile investment. On the other hand the instillation at my home is making almost no difference to my usual bills. I have pointed this out to Eco Elite and have had no response. It is being paid out on the basis that the power sold to the grid , in both cases will offset , to completely cover the cost of the systems. This is not my experience. Also I would not recommend purchasing on a plan. They 0 % arrangement is offset by a significantly higher purchase price, and in my case for an underperforming system.

Since instillation , and recently the input tariff has dropped from 8 cents per KW to 4 cents. So unless your system includes a battery there is pretty much 0 incentive to buy a solar system. As the batteries themselves can be faulty and cause fires , that is another good reason not to allow yourself to be lulled into thinking this is a serious answer to our energy problems.
