Never worked properly – This vacuum never worked properly from the moment we bought it. It stops frequently saying it’s wheels are stuck, even though they are not, and needs a factory reset to start going again. I gave up trying to connect the app because of how often I had to reset the vacuum. I wish I had returned it straight away, and I will not be buying Ecovacs again. Show details
Lifesaver – I would not have been able to manage without this appliance due to my circumstances over the past couple of years. It has kept our house looking clean. It vacuums and mops which I am particularly pleased about. You do need to do a bit of a touch up at times but basically it takes a lot of the stress out of it. We have only had one issue with it… Read more
where its direction system malfunctioned. The Deebot support team were very helpful and also I could see on YouTube how to fix this issue. We also have an even earlier model which is still running strong and which I use for carpets.
Deebot 600 Battery Replacement – It works quite well on hard floor and carpet and I do love it but the problem is that the battery only lasts 12 months and the replacement is $139 + fitting. Purchased January 2020, battery replaced Feb 2021, now needs another replacement. Why wouldn't I just go out and buy another cheaper brand (and there are plenty of deals out there) and replace it every year? Just be aware of the battery costs when purchasing a similar product. Works well but not for long – I purchased mine at Black Friday sales in 2019 on Amazon. It was the best vacuum. I used it consistently 2 times a week on hard floors and carpet. This year it just stopped working, it no longer picks up dirt and I can’t get help anywhere! Next time I buy one I’ll get a different brand and one with a longer warranty! Show details

Worked a week only, support just want more money to assess the issue – Deebot 600 worked a week only. Despite replacing the battery which apparently discharges itself to become useless if not used for a period of time, and it still won't charge. In a cov19 world, prevent access to the property, the warranty has expired and there is no recourse but to pay more money for an assessment for an unknown fix charge to be… Read more

Good robovac - poor after sales service – The actual function I found very good, especially for dog hair on wood flooring. The problem was the things controlled by the company, for example the trouble shooting and after sales service is terrible, and it cannot be used effectively without the app, however the privacy agreement means you must agree to them providing your details to 3rd… Read more

Ecovacs Deebot 600 battery replacement – Had an issue after about a year with our Ecovacs Deebot 600 where runtime had diminished to less than 10 minutes and the Ecovacs Deebot 600 would beep roughly every 3 hours or so while on the charging dock, yes very annoying. I looked at replacing the battery within Australia, eBay around $60 for a battery that I was told might work or the… Read more · 1
original battery replaced by Godfreys for $150, your kidding right!
Found this from AliExpress, “Nastima 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery for Conga Excellence 990 Ecovacs Deebot N79 N79S DN622, Eufy Robovac 11 11S 12 15C 15S 35C”, fits perfectly, has the correct plug and has more capacity than the original. Since installing out Deebot 600 has been working like a charm with runtimes up to 1 hour, so totally stoked. The cost was a tad over $AUD30 for the Nastima 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery. In the specifications for the Nastima 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery, it states that it fits Deebot models including “Deebot 601/605”. From all the searching a Deeboot 600 and 601 are near identical.
Replacement is quite simple, note full runtime is achieved after about the 4th charge.
Best appliance I've ever haf – Have had for nearly 2 years and it still cleans and works perfectly. Use daily and empty bin daily so know it's working. Is so much better than my electronic and cordless dustbuster. it's super helpful and time saving. Highly recommend as it's delivered far beyond expectations. love it Show details · 1
Only lasted one clean – Got it, charged it, set it going. It got stuck twice on the first & only run. Then it wouldn't charge again properly. It showed fully charged, but went into low batter mode after travelling 2m. Returned it to JB HiFi and they had no more stock, so they swapped it for a Robovac 35c which is much better - more suction, varies the suction automatically between hard floors and carpets, senses magnetic boundary tapes, and charges properly. Best floor maid – Is great on our timber plank floors. Only need to lift door mats. Does our whole house daily. Fits under couches and dining table. Only need to spot vac when I dust weekly. Initially sent on edge runs to get his bearings! Best investment. Show details · 1
Rubbish robot vac. Does a good job but eats everything – Save your money. For the love of god use the money to hire an illegal immigrant to vacuum your floor with the vac you picked up from the curbside collection. Unless of course, you have mortgaged your 1st born son to buy your ocean front villa with an open plan toilet and the only furniture you have it a fold our chair and a milk crate. Lost a… Read more
sock, it'll find it and then send you a notification to your smart phone to let you know. But it won't tell you when it's full, it will redistribute the crap all over your house. Want the distressed look on furniture, this thing will get the job done. It will ram and bash and take paint off everything in site. If it hasn't jamed up, ate your phone charger or beached itself on the cat tower, it will still be trying to find it's way home when you've long finished work. In fact, a drunk has a better chance of finding his way home in one of those new housing estatea 2 days after moving in. On the positive, if your ex wife sucked as well at the same time every day, well she probably wouldn't be your ex wife. But also, like your ex wife, this is also an expensive piece of trash you wish you could throw under the 6pm bus. Pros. Does a good job Cons. More stoppages than a council worker. Seriously, we had a second hand samsung before this which while didn't quite clean as good, did everything else better.
Does the job but not great – Used on wood and lino floors with a toddler boy and a very messy cat present. This vacuum did make a big difference to my life. Our floors were much cleaner due to our dealing with the daily deposits of my two mess makers. It has good suction and I'm always shocked at how much it picks up compared to my usual (very powerful) vacuum cleaner. It… Read more
also lasts a long time while charged, more than long enough to clean an average 3 or 4 bedroom house.
The negatives: the parts have deteriorated very quickly with maintenance as suggested by the instructions. We've only had it much less than a year and I'm going to buy a new one now. The two small brushes in either side become easily tangled and bent. The rubber around the brush parts has cracked. The plastic door that holds the dust in has now broken off and is extremely flimsy.
It rarely connects with the app and when it does the app isn't much use except for diagnosing error messages. It doesn't have a mapping function and I wouldn't buy one without it again as it's quite frustrating how it does the same areas over and over and misses entire sections. It bumps into everything. You can't tell it to avoid areas.
It doesn't do corners or edges very well.
Also don't buy a robot vaccum thinking they're set and forget. They require a LOT of maintenance to keep them running smoothly.

Performance for price can't be beaten – Bought this about 12 months ago and has performed consistently well. The flooring in the house is tile and relatively open plan. Bedrooms have carpet and I do those separately with conventional vacuum. I have not used this vacuum on carpet or rugs so cannot comment on its performance on these surfaces. Using the hard floor setting the Deebot… Read more
travels in straight lines until it hits the wall then turns and continues in the opposite direction with a slight overlap of its previous line so 100% of the floor is covered. The Deebot is excellent on edges and corners and mages to maneuver around table legs quite well moving around them in a circular manner then going off in another direction. A dining table with six chairs under it is its kryptonite but after a bit of bouncing around it eventually finds its way out. Pulling the chairs out helps as does lining up the legs. The fewer obstacles the quicker and more efficient the Deebot will be. As this model does not have the mapping feature it will often not complete a section before ending up somewhere else, often traveling down the hall to the other end of the house. It travels around with the intent of traveling in parallel lines (hard floor setting) but where it can't it will go in another direction and start another set of parallel lines making the whole process very random. It might only do half a room and and then go through a doorway and then end up bouncing off the walls in that room in parallel lines for a while before going through the doorway again, it's all very random. But that doesn't mean it does a bad job, 99% of the time I'm satisfied that it has covered the whole floor in every room. Because of its random travel it does not go around the edge of the room doing the skirting boards and then the room but does end up traveling along the edge of the room hugging the skirting as it has a slight toe in movement and the spinning brushes get everything. Its sensors ensure it is gentle on the skirting and furniture as it slows down to barely moving as it is about to hit then gently kisses the wall before turning around and going in the opposite direction. It has never fallen down the stairs. It returns to its base for charging when battery is low. Occasionally it has not made it because it was at the other end of the house and didn't find its way out before going dead. I use this vacuum about 4 times a week and our floors are free of grit, dirt and dust, hair, food crumbs and other detritus. Larger things will need to be picked up. It will pick up reasonably large items so don't leave anything on the floor you don't want sucked up. It will pick up a glass marble (cat's eye size for those old enough). It will eat and choke on socks. Ear bud and charger cables will need to be cut out in a minor operation. It is easy to empty the cassette but you will need to cut the hair of the brush with scissors. It's also easy to clean, washing the filters and such under the tap and dry in the sun. Still works fine even if the filters have not been done for a while. Can usually pick these up for $300 at that big green hardware store. I got mine for that price from Godfrey's. At that price I absolutely recommend this vacuum for hard floors.

Know better, choose better.
Great while it lasted – It was working great but 8 weeks old it decided to tell me that it had finished vacuming after 1min. Returned for a new one, let's see how this one goes. Show details
Love this machine – Bought this little buy about 3 months ago. Having 3 kids and a cat and a dog, I use it twice a day most days. During the week I pop him on when I go to work in the mornings and he’s back on the docking station and a clean floor when I get home. If there are cords or soft mats lying around then he may get stuck but overall it works great. Show details
It was great while it lasted – Really liked this vacuum. Would have given it 5 stars had it not stopped functioning in less than a month. The vacuum doesn't move forwards anymore despite the wheels being able to move in all directions and no entanglements. Show details
It was working but broken now – I have an Ecovac Deebot 600 for one year and two months. Few weeks ago, it can only work for 20 mins and cannot go back to the docket, then 15mins then few minutes. It s expensive for 1 year. Show details
Works well when it works ;( – I was gifted my Deebot and have loved it for 13 months when a Main Brush Tangled issue arose. I contacted service who emailed me a list of basic steps to run through and nothing helped. I did have the option to post it back to Deebot for service but the unknown cost + packaging & postage is a put off. I googled the problem to discover many many… Read more
people have the same issue. My husband who is an engineer tried to fix it using an online tutorial and it still didn't fix it.
My daughter also has one and EXACTLY the same issue arose with hers around the same time that she owned it.. we are both extremely disappointed as we both loved it when it was working.
I love this Robo Vac and I wish I bought it many years ago – I bought this Robo Vac from Bunnings for $296, what a bargain it was. I've been putting off buying a Robo Vac for many years however I thought that it was probably about time to get one and I tell you what I do not regret it at all. It's not particularly smart, it kind of goes everywhere but it's reliable, it works exactly as scheduled, and I… Read more
pretty much never have to use my traditional vacuum to clean up the areas that this Robo Vac has got covered.
If you've got a bit of extra cash to spare and you're looking at a Robo Vac I would definitely recommend this one, you will not regret it.
Best purchase I've ever made – With a border collie and two cats inside, this vacuum is great at picking up all the hair they drop! We have tiles and carpet and it does a great job on both. Now that we have it, I couldn't live without it! Show details
Lifesaver – I absolutely love I have a husky who sheds constantly, I bought this to stay on top of the hair and its perfect! We have tiles in our living areas and carpet in the bedrooms. It definitely works for effectively on tiles and picks up majority of the dirt/hair. Carpet is good for a quick run over but still needs a deeper vac with my hand vac. For… Read more
this reason, I would only recommend this if you have mainly tiles/floorboards. Its super quite and when its done vacuuming or low on battery it returns to its base to charge. The only downside is sometimes it doesn't always find its way home and can end up dying in a random area. You do have to change the cleaning brushes (small one every 6 months, big one once a year) but a full replacement kit cost me $50 so I'm happy with that.
Overall, love it! Would buy again in a heartbeat!
Great value and keeps house clean during the week – Bought this back in March as we were deciding if we buy a Dyson stick vac or keep using a cheap wet and dry vac we have. With hard floors and having a smaller house, we chose to invest in an entry-level Robo Vac. So far we have been really happy with the use of the vac. It has plenty of pros and cons and I have suggested this to family and friends… Read more
even.
List of these is longer as we have had it for some time now:
Pros: -Good value for money @ $399 but look out for sales as we got it for $280 -Has a phone app and works well -Integrated with Google home -Easy to clean and change filters and accessories -Will avoid stairs and other obstacles -Can be scheduled to start, or set to clean when not at home -Has modes for hard floors and carpet -Small remote to use if you don't want to use a phone app -Audio alerts and app alerts if stuck -battery life is ok, could be longer but again small home it does everywhere on one charge -entertains the nephew -seems safe to have around young kids
Cons: -Is not able to map house and control places it can not go, and thus does not know where home is so can spend 30+ minutes trying to get back on charge, and can sometimes run out of battery in that time -Gets stuck on many things, seems to one minute will avoid places then next try and vac them and get stuck -Accessories are only available from Amazon online, maybe in select stores ($50) -Small remote does not have the option to set it to high power, must be done in-app -Will not work on a larger pile rug
Overall, these robot vacs I feel are best in cases you wish to upkeep cleaning and compliment a full vac every so often. With Pets, I think it would seem like it is not working. A lot of the cons I think could be overcome in models that are further up the production line and cost more, and a time may come we need to replace this unit, we would certainly look to do so just to get some of the features like room mapping. Using during the week keeps the floors 80-90% clean, and you can do the odd sweep, and then a full vac once a week or less.
TIPs: -ALDI sell a model like this, a 610 that is similar and does mopping. -Do not let this into a bathroom that has a wet floor, it will make the dust bin horrible and harder to empty
