Makes life easier.
Roomba 670Originally purchased from Target during a sale this robot vacuum is a great mid range offering. It cleans the general living areas (carpet & lino) more than adequately. I recommend emptying the bin & cleaning the device with a damp cloth after each job. Easy to manage through the app with notifications given for replacing parts, length of cleaning jobs, etc. I have purchased replacement parts on Ebay for a fraction of the cost compared to the Roomba website. Owning this product has reduced my housework load - a win!

Roomba 670Not reliable. Only good in the first few months. Also, we weren’t told that the roomba recognizes dark colored carpets as “cliffs” what a joke. Not recommended at all.
Show detailsExciting to start with but now getting frustrated
Roomba 670I bought the 670 model as it it was in my price range and had relatively good reviews on Choice. I set it to vacuum 3 days a week while I am at work. I have hybrid flooring throughout.
I learnt very quickly to move certain items to avoid the Roomba from become stuck or tangled. Some cleaning days it has stopped because battery has run out.
Some areas are not cleaned and some rooms are over cleaned. I am unable to set it up so that I can specify areas to clean.
I am unable to find anything on line that can help me.
Starting to think I should have spent a bit more money on a more reliable robo vac.
Great in the first year
Roomba 670Even though it had stacks of room for improvement, I loved it in the beginning, but as time passed it became increasingly deficient.
It has had problems in the following areas...
Getting stuck on furniture parts.
Staying in one area for long periods.
Not sucking bits up on hard floors.
Sucking up then dropping out.
Turning in circles for ages.
Docking problems.
Battery dies without the low battery light coming on.
Doing the same med-small area/corner over and over again.

Roomba 692Does an excellent job in a house with two large dogs. Just pop it on when we go to the beach and the floor is clean when we get back. The cleaner comes every fortnight, so this is a great in between cleans cleaner :-) I've had two of them now (I think the first one still works but given it was close to 8 years old, thought it was time for an upgrade) and I'll continue to buy them. The only thing it doesn't do is return to base but to be honest, it doesn't phase me as I empty it and get rid of the hair and then put it back on it's base to re

For those considering buying one, seriously I wouldn't be without mine. It's a great time saver. What I would say is don't buy non genuine parts, I did and they don't fit or break, honestly wouldn't recommend them. It's rare you need the parts, I think the 3 prong brush broke once and hence why I bought the parts. Next time will pay the extra and get real parts. Was great, now the 'start' button not working - update can advise refurbished machine supplied by iRobot
Roomba 606Purchased August 2021 from Big W for $399. 12 month warranty. Now at 3 months outside the warranty, the 'start' button won't work. I have tried various reset options, watched videos on YouTube, given it a really good clean and charge. The 'dock' and 'spot' buttons work, but that won't clean the house. $399 is a hell of a lot of money for a product to lose its main function in 15 months... Before that, it cleaned well.

Roomba 670We bought it for ourselves for Xmas 2022 on Boxing day.
It is very loud. It crashes into furniture. It moved the side table! It violently slammed into a large glass lantern. Randomly navigates in a diagonal bump hit n miss random way and goes over same spot many times but misses other spots in the next pass. It moved our kitchen chairs!. It does not finish one room before it randomly finds its way to another part of the house.
Then it runs out of battery before it can finish the house and it cannot dock. We had an Xiaomi Roborock S5 for
George Cleeny, my cleaner ;)
Roomba 692My iRobot 692 robotic vacuum cleaner (re-named George Cleeny) is a fantastic, understated, robust, no nonsense performer. What it lacks in fancy, costly mapping software, it more than makes up for value for money performance. I have had it for 6 months, after purchasing at Harvey Norman for $399 & can highly recommend it. George is great on hard floors & moderately good on carpet & will transition between the two without difficulty. When detected, it performs a more intense spot clean by turning circles around more heavily soiled areas. I empty
... Read more the dust container each time (a simple slide out drawer) & clear any long hair/threads etc from the wheels & brushes each month. George has a ‘cliff’ sensor which redirects it at the edge of stairs; it runs for a maximum of 90 minutes & returns to base for charging. On the downside, it is not quiet & because it lacks a mapping capability it does need time to perform an optimal clean. Easy, when you can set it & leave! I could not be happier with my best-value little helper.Find out how iRobot Roomba 600 Series compares to other Robot Vacuum Cleaners

Brilliant machine. Pleasantly surprised.
Roomba 630I found this little robot online second hand for only £20. The bloke I collected it from mentioned that it needed a new battery as it only lasted 5 minutes before requiring recharging.
Stripped it all down, cleaned it thoroughly, reassembled, charged it up and it then lasted for over 90 minutes and did two cleaning cycles before needed to be recharged.
We live in a 2 bed bungalow with a mix of carpet, hardwood flooring and various rugs and a large dog and it does a fantastic job of keeping the floors clean.

Nice idea but misses the mark
Roomba 670I bought the Roomba a couple of weeks ago and have now used it 3 times.
I am pretty disappointed and a little scared to keep using it because it bashes really hard into my brand new skirtings. - I don’t want to damage my walls and skirtings to save time cleaning.
It also gets caught up in my dining chairs and bashes around my furniture.
I am worried it will damage my house with all the constant banging.
It seems to be missing spots also.
For the price I expected a much smoother effective product.

Has completely failed just outside warranty, was moderately satisfied with it prior
Roomba 670After great reviews from a number of family members regarding their Robot vacuum cleaners (both Roomba and other brands), we decided to give one a go. We have a large open plan living / dining area that is tiled, along a tiled hallway, to the bathroom and laundry (also tiles). I was already aware from family members' experience that these vacuums are not effective on carpeted surfaces.
At first, we were reasonably happy with this product. We would run it two or three days a week while everyone was at work / school, in order to pick up the l
... Read moreoose dust, food crumbs and pet hair through the common areas and just assist us with the weekly floor cleaning. We shut all the bedroom doors so that it couldn't travel into the carpeted areas, and lifted the dining chairs to give it a clear run around the dining table. Most days, we would return to find it docked and re-charging, and full as expected. Occasionally, we would find it stopped in the hallway, presumably because it had insufficient charge to return to the charging dock (which was located in the dining area, approximately central to the general area for cleaning. More often than I would have liked we would find it wedged under the back of one of the recliners, having only cleaned about 1/3 to 1/2 of the area. In the end, I started moving the recliner hard against the wall so it would go behind there. When it got the whole floor cleaned, we were very happy with the outcome. It did make a big difference to the general cleanliness of the house, and because it was operating when we were all away from home, it didn't disturb us. I did notice that it was fairly noisy. If you were operating it while you were home, I'm sure it would be pretty annoying. It also needed some frequent cleaning above emptying the dust catcher and washing the filter (it came with two filters, so we would wash and place one out to dry after each use, and reload with the second one, ready to go). As a family with long-haired ladies, we found that we often had to remove the roller and detangle the hairs that were wrapped around it. We also used the screwdriver to regularly unscrew the little triple brush and pull out the hairs trapped under there, as they inhibited it from spinning freely. We found doing this every fifth or sixth use ensured the best operation. It wasn't particularly time-consuming, but did require a little effort.Hi Tim, so sorry to hear this. Quite disappointed
Roomba 692We only had our robot vacuum for about a year and have had multiple issues with charging. The only way we can actually charge it is to lift it on a book so that the connectors actually work. We cannot get anybody on the phone and have sent a warranty request through months ago to no response. It is actually very frustrating that there is no help with such a defect.

Roomba 670Extremely loud. Does not go everywhere, some places are missed. Never again!!! Battery is flat before finishes. It cleans only on tiles I close the bedrooms where the surface is carpet.

Battery runs flat, doesn't return to charge, poor service
Roomba 670We have all tile floors and initially the Roomba did a fantastic job of cleaning. However after only a few months the battery did not last as long and the roomba started to fail to return to the charging station.
When returned for warranty they wanted to charge a $100 service fee.
System was returned after the service centre could not replicate the issue to have the same issues happen from day one.

New 692.
In manual mode does it go to base after a time or does it go till stopped, or switched off.

Hello, I have replaced my 630 battery with a roomba certified battery.
I have not used the 630 for several months. WHen I tried again (after charging it), it started showing this behavior :
- Starts OK, leaves docking station
- rotates on itself, brushes starting, a little
- Stops and says "please charge roomba" + red light.
Tried so far, without any result :
- tested the battery with a tester (shows a good voltage, 14,5V)
- cleaned the contacts
- resetting battery (10 seconds on Spot + Dock)
- full reset (10 secs on Spot + Dock + Clean)
What else can I try ?
Hi, please call our Customer Service Centre on 1300 727 241 to discuss your situation. We are sure we can resolve this privately.

Currently consisting of the iRobot Roomba 670 and 606, the constantly changing Roomba 600 Series has received an overall positive rating to date. The iRobot Roomba 606 is the more affordable option as it retails for $499, compared to $649 for the Roomba 670.
iRobot Roomba 606:
- Its cleaning system combines vacuum suction with an Edge-Sweeping Brush to make closer contact with the floor and wall edges
- Auto-adjust cleaning head adapts its height responsively to suit a variety of floor surfaces, including carpets, tiles, hardwood and laminate
- In-built sensors include Dirt Detection (which applies a higher degree of suction power to especially soiled areas) and a Cliff-Detection sensor (which prevents an unfortunate tumble down the stairs)
- Automatic re-charging occurs when the 606 is about to run out of charge – it will walk itself to the Home Base for some extra juice
- Comes with a rechargeable battery and Home Base Charging Station and a line cord.
iRobot Roomba 670:
The iRobot Roomba 670 is equipped with all of the functions and features of the Roomba 606, but it’s also a ‘connected’ model, meaning it’s equipped with WiFi. This means that it can be controlled remotely via the iRobot Home app, or even a smart speaker using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
The 670 also comes with an extra filter, whereas the 606 only includes one standard filter.
