and 20 minutes before going flat. It would spin in circles when there were no obstacles, it wouldn't go back to the charger when flat, basically became useless as it couldn't do its sole purpose; vacuum!

I contacted Ecovacs because under the consumer law guarantee, a product should last a reasonable period of time for what you pay for it. I have a corded vacuum that is 15 years old and hasn't missed a beat, but this vacuum barely lasted 12 months. So this started a series of emails back and forth between Ecovacs and myself where they would refuse to repair, replace or refund. On one occasion they did kindly offer to "look at it" for the cheap price of $99! So far there have been 38 emails between us where they provide me with the same templated response that my vacuum is out of warranty so they can't help me. I tried calling and speaking to an actual human being, explained the consumer guarantee and that their product is not fit for purpose and doesn't last a reasonable amount of time and that I'm entitled to remedy regardless of their in-house warranty period. They didn't understand me (overseas call centre) and just kept reading from their script. I asked for it to be escalated and they said they would do that and call me back on 2-3 business days. Never called back. So because they have useless customer service and refuse to help, I'm leaving an accurate review. DO NOT BUY!!

Initially worked well, then 6 months later, they updated their software and it no longer worked with google home. warranty, under Australian Consumer Law the expected life on the unit should be beyond 2 years.

Ecovacs want to charge me over $60 just to look at it then pay for repairs.

Ive submitted a file to fair trading and do not recommend dealing with this company

Such a great product especially for pet owners – Works so well on my floor boards and rattan mats. Very hardy and sturdy and can go easily over high, thick mats. So here are the pro’s:

1. It has a schedule cleaning. You can schedule it through your app 2. It has an app which you can also link with Alexa and google. If you are tech savvy it’s really easy, if technology is not your best friend then you need some help. 3. It has 3 cleaning cycle, I love that it also polishes my floor. 4. There’s is a max setting for maximum cleaning action. 5. It really listen to Alexa. 6. Edge cleaning is the BOMB! This is my major problem with lint accumulating. Now deebot can do it better than a human can 7. It’s affordable and worth it. The cheapest one in the market that’s reliable

Cons

1. No mapping option, that you could set up your house map. 2. Takes a while to find its charging dock. 3. Get stuck in the cord

Get a robot Vacuum Cleaner ASAP – Been running this for about a year and it has been a game changer. My floors have never been cleaner and I have probably had to bring out the broom only a few times since I have purchased this. If you mainly have hardwood floors or a pet or are just lazy like me, this is a must have product and well worth the investment.  Show reply
