This vacuum and mop from ecovac it’s okay. There is constant resetting and constantly having to re-map. It does an okay job but give your kids some pocket money and we will do better job than this.
Extremely dissatisfied in the Ecovac T20. It has now gone back for repair for the 3rd time under warranty. Couldn’t find its way back to the station, amongst many other faults. Out of the 2 year warranty period it has been in for repair a total of 18 weeks and still counting. At this stage the customer support team are not offering any extension on the warranty or any other compensation. Don’t waste your money Show details
Going through the same repair process as the others on this review, total dissapointment sending me back still a faulty robot and havent used the machine for 2-3months. that causes the Deebot grief & it refuses to work on it. On the carpeted areas of the house there are no issues. I see a lot of online complaints about the product & Ecovacs customer service. I can only hope these comments are in the minority. Sure we have had small issues & they have been resolved with plenty of patience & trial & error. A lot of the time we are anticipating an instruction or direction but the Deebot will achieve it another way. For example, many times I have tried to terminate a task prematurely only to confuse it completely, so have identified how to properly terminate a task. After all it is really a high tech piece of equipment & needs the skills & patience that we give to our phones & computers. I only hope & wish I dont have an issue that may need an Ecovac resolution. What I have learnt is to keep on top of the maintenance, cleaning sensors, brushes & dust disposal parts. Certainly to date we are really satisfied with the purchase & it vacuums & mops to our satisfaction.
Frustrated – I brought a 2.5k door stop. The $100 kmart stick vaccume is way more reliable. Still under warranty and can't not get a sensible response from customer care. No I do not need to watch the set up video again. Show details
Edge wash possible only every 7th time! – So frustrating that a $1700 (AU$) ECOVACS T20 -while with excellent physical abilities does not allow edgewash to be chosen in any mode!!!! to wear out the components(such as flimsy edge brushes- already bent and wearing after 2 weeks and mop heads). We have a large house and vacuum does not detect its onboard bin/trash is full so sometimes spills a lot of crumbs out as moving -though does say if bush tangled..Does run back to base often to wash mop pads if in wash mode though so have to often manually empty/refill base water tanks. Software awful- constantly loses maps and base station (even flipping house- we didn’t lift or move the vacuum!) and had to remap often early on but seems to have settled. Can physically clean really well but app is awful and won’t allow edge to edge floor mopping in any mode except every 7th clean. Would not chose this brand again unless they improve app usability! So frustrating!!!

based on other recent reviews. Not good enough for something of this value. Update: Now scaled down to 1 star due to lack of support in getting this repaired. I am stuck with a faulty unit that cost me lots of money and no suitable option to return it, AusPost refuse to take due to size and weight but Ecovacs do not provide alternative return options. Terrible

Final update: managed a return and the company eventually provided a "partial" refund. This is due to inappropriate refund method where I had to lose $ to via fees and Ecovacs refused to cover. The entire process was painful and took approx 60 communications to get to this point. Terrible suppprt policies by a company selling poor quality products.

Multiple faulty devices! AVOID! – Great if it would actually work! I got my first one and it worked great for 10 days, vacuumed and mopped as expected. However then the mop pads stopped working; no water was moving from the tank to wet the mop pads. replace with a brand new one. Upon opening up my new one, it was faulty from out of the box! Exactly the same problem, the water did not move from the water tank to wet the mop pads. I contacted ecovacs support once again and thoroughly troubleshooted with no success. I informed ecovacs it was still not working and did not hear a word back from them, despite multiple emails requesting it to be actioned. I'm so glad that I purchased the product from a retailer that allowed me to return the product for a full refund. I have since purchased the Dreame L20 ultra which I am extremely happy with.

Worst purchase of my entire life! – Complete waste of money. The app makes the product useless. Vac gets lost regularly and can’t find rooms or even its own station. currently is. Also, the maps disappear regularly and is time consuming to reset everything to the way it was before the maps got wiped out. There’s also the issue of it not doing what it’s told via the app, literally does the OPPOSITE! Select the custom area clean and then click on the lounge room only for it to decide to ignore that and go clean the opposite end of the house. I’m done! I’ll be contacting the company I purchased it from regarding a refund and if they won’t refund it due to it being several months old, I’ll seek advice from the ACCC. This product is being sold for close to 2k, not acceptable!

Annoyed – I have a large hybrid wooden floor area, windows that go to the floor. Massive mapping issues with this unit, tried to map outside my windows, clearly cant get there then gets confused and goes back to it's base. and goes back to base. Entire tub of water is not enough to mop the bottom floor of my home (approx 20-25sq mopping area) and had to refill halfway the one time it actually decided to work properly. Also uses a ton of water to clean the mop pads. Doesn't vacuum the edges properly and dust/crap still around the edges. Tried one last time to give it a simple rectangle to vacuum only - did half of it got confused and returned to base. Laughable. Did all the troubleshooting, reset everything and still useless. Don't bother wasting your money, get something better. Mine's gone back for a refund.
Good robot Vac/mop – Great for tile & wood floors. Not so good on carpet with pet fur. Great at transferring onto rugs, short and long pile. Easy to clean. need to take the moping pads off and it will just vacuum. Even in vacuum only mode if you leave the moping pads on it washes the pads every time it leaves the Dock & returns.
Mapping.... it didn't map my house correctly the first time. To "remap" you just return to docking station, and map again... the new map over rides the previous one. Does not state that in the manual.
Unable to be used for multi-level home, even though advertised it can by Ecovacs – The robot works well on single level, but even though the product is advertised and listed by manufacturer as being cable of 'multi-floor', with picture of stairs, this actually requires you to move the very heavy station with water tanks to the other level. not sell an additional base station either. Their service unfortunately is very poor, broken english, long response times, and dont actually listen to their customers. If you have a two storey home, reconsider.
