Took all my babies hair – Although this product did help with the cradle cap it also made my 3 month olds head red raw and when washing it out all his hair came out. He now has no hair on the top of his head Show details

Do not use! – Tried this on my daughter as it was recommended by a gp. the first time I applied it was in the morning & she was fine all day. The second time I applied it before bed. She woke up screaming 30 minutes later, with a red raw head and blood everywhere. Was the most horrific thing I've seen. Do not use this on your child Show details

Never use it on your baby’s head – Our gp recommended this product for our 11 weeks old baby’s cradle cap and it didn’t only make the cradle cap soooo much worse but also gave him the worst reaction on his face and forehead. Poor guy is sooo uncomfortable. It’s seriously the worst product ever. Don’t try it on your baby ever. Show details

This worked for us! – So my 3yo was still suffering from cradle cap and the pharmacist recommended egozite. I didn't follow the instructions exactly, I only applied the product once, let my daughter have her nap and then washed her hair twice as it was quite oily. I didn't go overboard with the product but it completely removed the cradle cap. I went to write a review… Read more

and was mortified by the bold posts - so I waited... It's been well over a month and no bold spots/hair loss. Highly recommend but perhaps don't use too generously or as instructed on the box.

Not recommended for babies – Our paediatrician advised us yesterday 31.5.21 to buy this for our 3 month old baby's cradle cap. I applied it once to his top scalp as the whole area was covered in scales at approx 2pm I did not like the smell or the sticky oily residue & it made my baby's head greasy - I think my baby felt the same way. It took over 3hrs for him to nap since… Read more

I applied this, so guessing it was uncomfortable for him, but there was no physical signs

At approx 11.30pm, we both woke up from him constantly scratching & rubbing his face, & touching his head - even with the dim night light, I could see his face was red. He must've got the oil from his hair onto his face

My partner was still awake so I asked him to get a bath ready, as I knew Egozite was causing my baby irritability & wanted to wash it off. Under the lighting, his scalp, forehead & face was red - my baby felt better after we washed it off in the bath. Ended up sleeping at 2am because of this product & will not use it again

Doctors shouldn't recommend a product if they're unsure of a baby's sensitivity level, & should be aware that a baby would touch their head, face & mouth which is a health risk for babies because the product would go in their eyes or mouth!

Hair fell out and still not growing back! – Within two days my son rapidly lost his hair where I applied the product (on his forehead hairline). The next month he slowly lost most of his hair anyway but that grew back thick and long within the next 4 months whereas the front is still bare! I hope this didn’t permanently ruin him as it didn’t fix cradle cap! Just hair loss :( Show details

Terrible product – I used this product on my 3 month Olds cradle cap twice and by the second application his scalp turned red and looked really inflamed. He was wriggling like mad and so unsettled, it must have been itchy and stinging him sonbad. My husband washed it off with lukewarm water and he was crying by this point. The next morning his scalp was peeling… Read more

thick chunks of skin and looked so raw, like it had been burnt. Never ever use this product if your child has even slightly sensitive skin.

This was a great product – I used it twice a day, for 5 days, shampooing out on the 5th day twice. Got rid of it all. My daughter had no reactions at all. I also used a soft toothbrush and brushed it daily whilst the oil was used. Brushed it out after with a comb. Show details

Fixed my baby's cradle cap – I bought this when my baby was 12 months old. She had very flaky skin all over her head which was preventing her hair from growing. After using this for a week non-stop (i.e. not washing her hair) her skin started to peel off. I then washed her hair and applied it for another week, then another hair wash, then another week of the lotion, before… Read more

finally rinsing it all off. I found that using a comb to further loosen the flakes between washing did help, even though people advise against this! Be aware that if existing hair shoots are growing through the lose flakes on your baby's head, the hair will come out with the flakes too. I figured the skin needed a good cleansing in order for healthy, stronger hair to grow. I'm glad I persisted with this, as it worked for us. Yes the lotion is essentially medicated olive oil, it is greasy, the cot sheets need to be washed more frequently, and you will probably get comments from strangers about your baby's hair, but the flakiness stopped for my baby and allowed her hair to begin growing properly.

Very horrible product!!! – This product is not good at all. My baby had a full hair but started developing crable cap at 2months plus, I used this product as instructed for 3 to 5 days on affected areas but instead of removing the crable cap, it removed almost all her hair and yet she still having crable cap. A very bad product!!! Please dont use... Show details

Cradle Crap – DO NOT USE!! I treated my 6 month old with this stuff for cradle cap and not only did it remove it but it also removed her hair. Use something natural instead. Show details

Waste of time and money – I used this product as directed, twice a day for five days- washed and repeated. It didn’t work and made my 3 month old cry when I tried to brush her head with the ointment on as if her head was sensitive and sore. I’m just using simple olive oil now.

Works great for stubborn cradle cap – I used this for my daughter when she still had cradle cap at age 1 which I hadn’t had trouble clearings up using other methods. Used according to direction do and softened the scales which the number washed out completely when I washed her hair after 3 days of usage. I missed one spot towards the back of her head and the scales were still there,… Read more

so evidence that it works. I had no skin irritation like other reviewers, but that being said I still wouldn’t use this on a young baby due to the presence of salycilic acid.

Would never recommend for babies! – I used this product as directed on the packet. Made sure to only apply lotion to affected areas. This product ended up burning my baby's skin and causing a huge rash. And the cradle cap is still present. I would not recommend this product to anyone who thinks their babies skin could be even slightly sensitive

Great! – I used this twice on my 2 month old and it cleared up straight away. I would definitely recommend this people. I didn't expect it to work so fast, so happy!!! It's didn't upset my baby at all like I read on other reviews. I'm glad I tried it before reading reviews or else I probably wouldn't have.

Do not use!!! – I stupidly bought this product because I was running out of remedies to get rid of my bubs cradle cap. I followed the instructions and left it on for 5 days and did this twice. She was so itchy and I felt like her cradle cap was getting worse not improving at all. She now has a red raw scalp and I feel terrible and don't know what to do. Do not… Read more

use this product on your baby! Obviously does not work on sensitive fresh baby skin. Should be banned!

Awful product caused my baby agony - do not use it – Used the product Egozite cradle cap lotion first on a small area and it was fine. Then used it over the full area of cradle cap. Within 2 hours my 5 month old baby was screaming in agony. There are no indications at all on the box to indicate there could be any sensitivity to the product.. I washed it off straight away and she was fine. Terrible… Read more

product. Would not recommend this at all. And Ego Pharmaceuticals have not even bothered to respond to the numerous negative reviews of their product.

Don't use – makes baby's scalp painfully itchy! – I tried Egozite on my 3-month-old who had cradle cap. It didn't approve the scaly flakes, just made her cry all day and be fretful. She rubbed her head from side to side all night in the cot and on the sheets in the morning was all this hair she'd pulled out in doing so. The next day, she rubbed her head back and forth across my face trying to… Read more

ease the itchiness. I tried giving her head a scratch and she immediately calmed down and pushed back against the scratching and that's when I realised the problem. Nothing. It didn't work, made my baby cry unconsolably and caused her hair to come out.

Worked within 5 days of using it – My son developed cradle cap when he was around 6 weeks old, I was told that it would eventually go away but I just had to do something about it, I went to Chemist Warehouse and asked the pharmacist over there for recommendations and he suggested we use Egozite Cradle cap lotion, followed the instructions, applied the lotion and avoided getting his… Read more

scalp wet for about 5 days, after 5 days, I washed his head and did not see any difference at first but after a day or two the flakes on his head started peeling off, strands of hair went with the flakes, he had red patches but that went away, he had clean scalp after a week and his hair started growing on the spot where the cradle cap used to be. It worked.

Red raw! – What a terrible product! My sons head came out red raw in only a few hours. There is no warning about sensitive skin reactions and given i have sensitive skin i always check for that sort of info. Really poor form and will warn people not to use this just in case it happens to your child's precious head. Nothing Red reaction on baby's head.

Awful product – We put it on my 9 week old son who has cradle cap and within 5 minutes of putting it on he was screaming and his head was red from inflammation.DO NOT USE IT. The main ingredient is that used in Anti-acne products and asprin so please dont use it on your child if you really care about them.

Terrible – I brought this product on advice from my MCHN as my daughter had seriously bad cradle cap, but i soon found out that not only that it doesnt work but also my daughter severly reacted to it. to complain about. This product is not worth buying at the expense of your childs health. None unfortunatly. Not Good for children with sensitive skin. Too many nasty chemicals in it, not something that should be used foe children.

Excellent – My boys still (at 2 years and 6 years) get cradle cap and even with extremely bad eczema I can safely and happily use this stuff to clear their cradle cap up. One application and a comb with a fine toothed comb gets rid of their cradle cap for at least 6 months. Never had any issues with sensitive skin. removed cradle cap easily
