Convenient, comfortable and hygenic
I bought this bidet seat from Groupon after seeing a manual one installed in all the toilets in a friend's home. He told me it was great to have and no regrets. I started looking and found similar ones in Groupon and opted for the more luxurious version with heated seat and heated water as it is winter time. You can get equivalent items from other retailers but it can cost twice as much.
It took 10 calendar days for the item to be delivered after placing the order. The package came with all fittings and it was real easy to install, approx 30 minutes if you are an average handyman like me. Removed old seat from toilet bowl, positioned and located the bidet seat with the 2 bolts provided. Turned off the water supply to the cistern and connected the provided T-piece then re-connected the water supply hose to the cistern and the provided flexible water hose to the bidet. Turned on the water supply and connected the 3-pin plug to the power outlet, switched on and all working.
However do take note of below:
- The flexible water hose supplied is approx 600mm long and you may need to get a longer one from Reece or Bunnings if supplied hose is too short.
- The electric cable provided is just over 2m long so check your power outlet location from the toilet seat as you may need an extension cable.
- The bidet seat may not fit your toilet bowl if yours is the extra large ones which I have seen in some houses e.g. large rectangular American Standard brand toilet bowls.
- The seat has a sensor and will not operate if there is no contact with your bum. It may not operate for small children with small thighs unless each thigh is properly located in the middle section of the seat.
The wife loves it and we now use toilet paper just to wipe dry and feel so much cleaner. There is warm air to dry your bum but it takes too long if one is in a hurry.
