Love my new fridge with the convenience of a plumbed water and ice dispenser which was also easy to install. Quiet too, I live in a small apartment and finding a fridge that doesn’t make noise was a huge draw card for me. Other brands I was looking into seem to have the same review of - ‘great fridge but noisy’. It’s also really sturdy and solidly made.

We bought this product 2 years ago. It performed well until a week ago when the refrigerator section stopped working. A technician found that the fan in the bottom of the unit had frozen and this stopped the cycle of air. It required turning off the unit to allow the ice to thaw meaning food would spoil. After searching the internet we found this to be a common problem with this refrigerator. Be aware of this design problem before you buy.

Dents and ripples on both fridges purchased
I bought the dual fridge with the trim kit and especially designed the kitchen around this dual fridge to make this a feature.
Once installed, I was horrified to notice multiple dents and ripples on both units - fridge and freezer panels.
I called customer service who were unable to help and asked me to email photos to customer care.
It's been weeks with no response from Electrolux.
After doing a quick google search this is a common problem with Electrolux fridges.
As described by Beth M from Adelaide, she was advised by customer service th...

Great fridge/freezer in every way (except one)...
The fridge looks great, is good value for money and for the energy efficiency. It feels well made, with a solid sounding door and drawers that don't get stuck or feel like they're going to snap like other fridges I've owned. The taste guard does a noticeably good job of avoiding "fridge taste" on open items in the fridge. It maintains a steady temperature too. And the temperature thus far has remained even - no freezing of items at the back to keep everything else cool. Worth the money.
At night, it sounds like the shadow creatures from Ghost.

Hubby and I bought this fridge/freezer in Feb 2021 from The good guys at ipswich. We have had it for 8m so far.
The good:
- SOOO QUIET! You can't ever hear this fridge. Its seriously quiet.
- Moveable draws in the door that actually allow for sauces and tall bottles and eggs and eveyrthing you need space wise. Its very practical.
- Moveable (with practical spaces) draws inside fridge.
- The 2 crisper draws keep food so so fresh for so long. Our old one would struggle to keep lettuce for more than 4 days or so. This one a bag lasts at least a...

Left hand to suit kitchen layout.Handles a little difficult to fit,but with patience and not forcing Allen key seems to be quite a good fit.Ice cube tray small, but appears to be a standard across all similar fridges.Overall very happy

The first fridge that arrived had a control panel that only worked after I switched the fridge off at the power point. After a couple of days the fridge stopped working although the freezer kept humming along nicely. I got a replacement. When I discovered the control panel didn't work on that one either, I sent it back. It's a pity. I really liked the layout and energy efficiency of this model. Lots of people rave about it online. I obviously got the lemons!

I feel bad for people who were given a lemon, but that wasn’t us. Only 2 months in, but so far loving the fridge. All of the negatives in other reviews we haven’t encountered:
Noise level - very nice and quiet. Mostly completely silent, at times it will have a low (very low) white noise sound like you’re on a plane. But very soft and find it soothing in a way. We recently slept on a mattress downstairs about 3m from the fridge for 1 week because we had painting done upstairs and had very good sleeps.
Coldness - great. Had to reduce it by 1 deg...

Good when it works. Customer service is terrible
Bought this fridge in 2019. It was good when it worked. The shelves move and configure well.
The two big draws are efficient.
Freezer it’s a very good size and I like the way the drawers come out.
Problems though!
2 years almost to the day and the fridge stopped cooling (second time. First time fixed with reset) Electrolux customer service was terrible trying to avoid fixing under warranty.
Their technician call out times are soo slow. Waiting a week to fix your only fridge in the house.
They came out and fixed it and because the technician was nice he did it as a no cost job.
It was the defrost sensor broken causing the freezer to block with ice and stop the fridge getting cold air. ...
Read more Fast forward 6 weeks and it’s broken again. Again the customer service is horrible. Slow and don’t want to have it fix it under warranty. Very disappointingPurchased in at The Good Guys for $1,499.

Fridge is less than 3 years old. Worked fine until just out of warranty and has failed on and off ever since. Constant problems. Tried to get Electrolux to help out as good will because a $3.5k fridge should be reasonably expected to last more than 2-3 years without major failures. They wouldn't have a bar of it because it was just out of warranty and wanted me to book their technician to come out and inspect (at an exorbitant call out fee). Would never buy another Electrolux again.

After a terrible experience with our last fridge, we ended up going from a French door style fridge to the Electrolux bottom mount and it's been a great upgrade.
It's a fridge, so there's not exactly a big feature list to pore over, however it does what it says on the box, it keeps food cold, it's consistent and it looks the part.
The shelving and drawers are solid and well put together and the control panel is easy to use.
It's a little louder than the old fridge, but nothing major, and it doesn't seem to be outside the standard noise level...
Read more for a fridge. If I had to be picky about anything (and I often feel the need to be) I would say that the door hinge seems a bit loud, there is a noticeable click when you close the door - we actually thought there was an issue at first, but when I called back into Harvey Norman, I noticed it on the display unit as well (Surprisingly we didn't pick up on this when we purchased it, but it would not have stopped us from buying it anyway) All in all, a great fridge that works well.Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $1,649.

Electrolux cant "Handle it", 4th handle replacement in less than 2 years
The handles of the fridge are held in place by an extremely small screw, since purchasing the fridge for over $2K we have had to have 4 handle changes on the fridge handles. The technician has come out 3 times and checked everything and even played around with the suction parts but no luck. The Fridge is now just out of warranty, I'm trying to get a hold of Electrolux customer service team but have been hold for over an hour.
Have researched online and it seems it is a reoccurring issue with most of these fridges and this specific handle.
With all the online examples plus my experience will be contacting ACCC next, not good enough, you cannot sell a product that is below par and follow it up with poor customer service.

We bought the fridge approx 2 years ago from Harvey Norman. The fridge handle pulled off after three months. Apart from being noisy (which we can handle) first the fridge, then freezer, stopped working about 2 months ago. Repair guy came out twice, fixed the fridge and then again to fix the freezer. Now the fridge has stopped working again after 2 weeks!!!! I am so frustrated and disappointed with this fridge, I just really regret spending so much money on something that has proved to be such a fail. The one star is pretty much because it looks ok.

We bought a new Electrolux EBE5307BC-R fridge this week from Harvey Norman. We were required to fit the two door handles ourselves and instructions are included together with an allen key. The allen key is so soft and flexible, and the allen screws so stiff that it was extremely difficult to tighten the door handles to the fridge, resulting in the thread of the screw being stripped, meaning that the door handle will never be properly tight to the door. Very disappointed with both HN and Electrolux. I recommend that anybody buying an Electrolux fridge insists beforehand that the fridge is fully installed by the vendor.

Great design etc. BUT the high frequency noise from the motor is like torture. Have spoken to Electrolux on three separate occasions and they have sent out a service person to have a look at the fridge. Only had it a month!!!! The last service man could hear a noise but in him it was feint.
I sometimes turn off the fridge at the wall to stop hearing that high-pitched noise.
I suggested that they just swap it over for another one. Fair call I thought.
Service department not too keen on that idea. In fact they told me to go back to the p...

Questions & Answers
Can the freezer section fit a pizza box like McCains?
Having trouble removing the freezer drawers. The manual says to pull the drawer out and then lift the front to remove the drawer. This does not release the drawer. And suggestions. Tony
Does this come in pocket handles?
Do people have trouble fitting a 2l or 3 l bottle in door ?
Don’t know about pocket handles. But I can tell you it fits 2ltr bottle easily in the bottom of fridge door. For 3ltr bottles it would depend on the shape.
