E8 error again – The Error E8 has come up - once this comes up can be either a choice of 2 modules. Which can mean over approx $700 costs to repair. So not buying Electrolux again.. The Unit was correctly installed as per instructions. Not really happy about the Mean Time Failure Rate on this product, reliability is an issue. Show details
Love this cooktop – I purchased this cooktop direct from Electrolux. I had never heard of induction before, but for the price I got it at I had to try! We were putting in a new kitchen, and the cooktop matches in perfectly with the black stone benches we chose. It is super easy to clean, just wipe over with a wet microfiber when finished cooking and I use the… Read more
Cerapol & Ceraseal every few months to keep the glass looking super shiny and amazing. Even with a few scratches from every day wear and tear, I have experienced no chips in the glass as I have noticed other users have.
I love how responsive the touch controls are, the timer function is so easy to use and makes cooking so much easier. I also like how if you place something over the controls it tells you, so you know to remove the item. The automatic turn off feature when a pot is removed or if you have not made a selection gives me peace of mind. The induction side of things is amazing, I love how you can be quite precise with the cooking temp and the boost feature is the best! Boils water quicker than my kettle! We love to show people when they come to visit as it is remarkable. I was able to use all of my old cookware, which is cheap stuff from The Warehouse! If a magnet sticks, it will work on the cooktop.
I reckon it was worth the money we paid, it is an amazing cooktop! We have had it for 5 years and it has never missed a beat.
E8 error again – We've had our cooktop for several years and all was going generally well. Apart from crazy beeping and burnt fingers trying to adjust the temperature when using large pans. BUT then we got an E8 error, April 2016. The service man came and told us of a major problem. $800 plus repair bill (inc. parts and 2 service calls). He told us it was… Read more
installed incorrectly and it needed more air. He provided a statement to say it was incorrectly installed and we contacted the builder who advised they're not responsible. All that aside, we asked if keeping the drawer underneath the hob would solve the problem whilst we went through legal proceedings and arranged for repair. He said 'yes' that would be excellent. NOW, although the drawer has been open each time we've cooked, it seems to have happened again. I now wonder if it's a flaw. It is also strange that the error appeared only 13 months after the original repair. I'm now in search of a new hob. Although comments above about strange sized cutout concern me.
Pathetic! – 3 years old @ a cost of $3000.00 and it's already stuffed with error in the board and is to expensive to replace parts. Electrolux help line has absolutely appalling customer service they just flob you off and don't care. Do not by electrolux induction cooktops as per other reviews!! Show details
unreliable product and poor support – had to be fixed just out of warranty and then has more issues 2 years later. throwing away at 5 years. electrolux service is terrible and they offerik no support like a discount on a new one. also bench cutout is an odd size making replacing it complex.... never buy electrolux Show details
Appalling item & customer service – Cook top displays an E9 error message on cook top which is only about 2 years old. I cannot book a serviceman to arrive at a time of day that suits me not even a request for AM or PM. They will give me a 30min "courtesy call" prior to arrival. Therefore i must take a full day off work to be home for the repairman whenever he decides to arrive.… Read more
Talking round figures at $50 an hour for me to take the day off is $400 plus $145 call out fee plus parts, (assuming he has the parts on the day and can repair it there and then. If not i must take another day off that suits Electrolux at a cost of $400 again) that is already upward of $550 for repairing a faulty cook top that is about 2 years old. Due to this appalling customer service and a cooktop that doesn't live up to its expectations I will be buying a different brand and not recommending Electolux to anyone. Do not buy this brand!!!
Cracked and E3 Error – Pretty disappointed, less than 3 years use but out of the 2 year warranty and our cook top is both cracked and now has an E3 error. Electrolux is saying it's out of warranty so not covered. Since when was it acceptable for a cook top to last less than 3 years! It's not just the cost of a new cook top, it's also the cost of remaking the bench to fit a new cook top. Should have stuck with the German brand we have for the ovens. .

Fragile – I'm a big fan of Electrolux as a brand and purchased a suite of kitchen products including a steam oven, pyro oven, range hood, induction cooktop and dishwasher too. I pre-purchased all items during the construction of my new home and have been using them, including the induction cooktop, for 24 months now. It has on the odd occasion turned itself… Read more
off but this has been rare. Tonight I went to wipe it down and found a significant crack and small splinters of glass emanating from the bottom middle to the top. I had no idea the damage was even there and as a result cut my finger and received a few nasty glass splinters. After mentally walking my way through the last few days, the only thing I can think of is having dropped a plastic vitamin bottle near it.
I didn't think it actually touched the cooktop but in the absence of another explanation? I purchased an extended warranty from Harvey Norman and they have advised they do not cover the cooktop glass but this will be reviewed if I email through a photo. Fingers crossed. I will be dreadfully disappointed if they can't assist as it's not safe to use in its current condition and I've not done anything that would vaguely warrant the damage. I've also had some issues, again quite rarely, with the responsiveness of changing the temperature, in that it doesn't register when I run my finger along the numbers. In every other way it has been a great product. Heats quickly. Easy to clean. I particularly like being able to surround a frypan with paper towel so any splatter can just be picked up at the end. However the obvious fragility is a real concern.
Outcome: The purchased extended warranty wouldn't cover the glass but I contacted Electrolux Customer Care and explained my situation. They agreed to supply the part if I covered the labour cost. A really reasonable outcome and one I'm very happy with. This resolution has gone a long way to restoring my faith in the brand and the product. Thanks Electrolux!
Very Unreliable! – I have had this cooktop since Feb 2011. (Luckily I purchased product care from Harvey Norman so its still covered by warranty) Just turns itself off whenever it feels like it!. Touch controls do weird things. Glass chips easily. Repairman coming out again but both times has had no idea what the problem is! Can go for weeks without a problem and then suddenly it will start playing up again. Wish I had done more research before I purchased.
The alarms are driving me crazy. Edited - it's been broken for 3 weeks and we've had Electrolux out 3 times – Edit: After 5 years this cooktop died. We have had Electrolux out 3 times now, attempting to fix it, but it's still broken. Each time they come out they won't give a time, or even a part of the day like morning or afternoon. I either have to take the day off work or show the electrician where the spare key is. We get E3 and E8 errors, and each… Read more
one is accompanied by a piercing alarm. This happens once or twice an hour, and I have to go to turn it off. So far has cost over $300 and 3 weeks with no stove and piercing alarms. And they won't come out for another 4 days.
The cooktop works ok, and I like induction though after 3 weeks it's still taking time to get used to it. But the alarms are driving me crazy, and I've turned as many sounds off as possible. There are 3 situations where an alarm will still sound. It sounds when you turn it on waking the others in my house in the early morning. It sounds for a full minute if you've set the countdown timer to turn a hotplate off after a few minutes. I wanted the hotplate to turn off so I don't have to be bothered with it, but it doesn't seem worth it to listen to the alarm for a full minute. And if you put something on the control panel the alarm sounds 5 times and then the whole unit turns off. All the elements need to be reset if this happens. Even if the unit is off and I clean the control panel with a wet cloth - same thing. An alarm sounds 5 times. It's like having a toddler in the house!

Not reliable -glass broke easily – Has only used it for 1.5 years. The glass broke when a pot run along the edge. I was told the glass was not included in warranty. I cant stop thinking its a quality issue. the cooktop should be built in a quality that allow daily normal use. But reality is Its more fragile than my wine glasses and corelle plates. This problem was also revealed… Read more
in a few reviews here. It costs me 450+ to replace it. And this is not the only issue i have. Little things here and there that happens occasionally. Go for another brand If i were you.

Excellent - a joy to cook with – I have had my EHD68210P cooktop for over 2 years now and it is absolutely fantastic. Easy to clean and easy to use. You can keep chocolate in a saucepan just keeping warm for ever, it is that sensitive. I boiled dry a frypan (I am that sort of cook) and left a round mark on the cooktop. I was so disappointed but I discovered Cerapol… Read more · 1
ceramic glass and induction cooktop cleaner and Ceraseal ceramic glass and induction cooktop protector and they got rid of the mark. I use them once every six months or so now or when we have visitors. I also use a paper kitchen towel under my saucepans and frypan just to avoid scratches as I want to keep it looking brand new. I don't know if this is necessary or not but I don't want to risk it because it looks stunning under the lights when it is clean. To clean it I just wipe it down with a clean cloth rinsed in detergent and water and wash that off and wipe it dry with paper kitchen towel or a tea towel. It is still ultra shiny and perfect.
It only beeps at you if you put metal over the controls, it does not beep if you put metal on the cook top space even when it is off. I thought I should correct what someone else said. I did seal the edge of the cooktop with silicone and then wiped it off incase of spills (never have had one touch wood). I am wondering if this has made the edge a little more stable because I have clunked it with saucepans a few times and never chipped it.
It is really safe because it stays cool even when you are cooking - no cooked on mess to clean up. It turns off if you take the saucepan off for while as a safety feature which takes getting used to. The touch controls are great and the thing heats up so quickly it is amazing.
I did not have to buy new saucepans as my raco ones worked with the induction cooktop even though they didn't say specifically that they did. You test them out with a magnet. If the magnet sticks to the bottom of the saucepan they will work on the induction cooktop. I have had to buy a new frypan but most are induction now.
I got a new kitchen and I did a lot of research into all my appliances and they've all performed well. I did have a dedicated circuit for the cooktop put in and I bought a really good rangehood as I was advised that the induction cooktop makes more steam as it doesn't evaporate as it doesn't get heat around it. But as soon as something boils I turn it down and keep the lid on and it boils in a really controlled way at exactly the right temperature. So I haven't had a problem with steam.
This cooktop has been really great for someone like me who cooks because I have to rather than finding it a joy in itself and it is so easy to keep clean and looking fantastic. Everyone who has used it has been impressed but some have balked at the price. I liked the fact that you could put any size saucepan anywhere on the cooktop zone so I was really pleased that I bought this model rather than the ones you have to match to the saucepan bottom.
Electrolux or Electrojunx, I wish we never bought it, nothing but trouble – Here we go again, our first cook-top failed within first year, control panel replaced twice and unit was only replaced after repairman convinced service department it was a lemon, we got new unit which is all plastic underneath rather than metal and didn't look new, its never performed as good, now just after 2 years it wont hold power for more than… Read more
10-15 seconds, it pulses on for 10 sec then nothing for 10 sec even though only one pot in use, don't even try putting two pots on at same time, our kitchen is full of Electrolux and nothing but trouble,we were lucky that they replaced our Pyrolytic oven after it almost burnt kitchen down, got so hot that the whole thing buckled, another oven had to be replaced within 12 months as it would blow fuse every time we used it.We are definitely not going near this brand ever again, for the money we have spent would have expected better quality products.

Know better, choose better.
Sorry I bought it! – This cooktop is nearly 2 years old and has 2 chips in the glass top. Both on the edges, one is a corner. It totally spoils a new highend kitchen and the chips are quite noticeable. I am very disappointed. My previous glass top lasted 20 years with no chips. It functions OK and certainly heats up water very quickly. Lots of good technical… Read more
features but the aesthetics are now spoilt. I am looking for a replacement. Functions as described Glass top chips easily.
Reliable, great timer function, super fast! – Have had it for a while now. Very reliable, fast and the timer function for EACH stove is so incredibly handy. Love it! It's generally quite quiet too, except when on MAX heat on all three stoves. It's faster than any of cooktop I have ever owned, including gas cookers. Never had a problem with it. Speed, timer function Never had a problem with it.
Love it – After more than three years of use, this induction cooktop has proved to be a good buy. With a reasonable price tag, it does what it promises to do. After I had gotten used to it, I got so impatient when I used the gas cooktop at my daughter's place. But be warned, it can get so hot so fast that you will get boil overs if you're not watching,… Read more
although cleaning up is always a breeze. The best part of using it is the timer cooking - I can cook at the precise temperature for the precise amount of time so my soft boiled eggs always come out perfect. The three burner configuration may seem a bit inadequate to some, but I love it because with most of my cook ware I manage to use all three at the same time, while other configurations would not allow me to use a wok and any other pot at all. timer cooking, easy to clean, three burner configuration, efficient marks on glass with use over time
Do not waste your money on this piece of junk – After 3 years of modest domestic use, my Electrolux has blown 2 modules which will cost $800 plus labour to replace. I paid $136 for this piece of information from the technician who was at my house for 5 minutes. I would be stupid to invest any more money with this totally incompetent manufacturer. The logo matches the oven. Poor reliability. Disorganised service dept.

Great product – We purchased this to replace a gas cooktop and we are very happy with it. It's very easy to keep clean and versatile. The boost function heats a pan of water for pasta incredibly quickly and yet on another zone I can melt chocolate! Fantastic! I also love how I can use the cooktop as extra bench space if needed. We were concerned about going from… Read more
4 cooking spots to 3 but even with a large family that hasn't been an issue and we like the long thin layout. Very responsive, easy to use once you got used to it, energy efficient, looks great and easy to keep clean. Getting used to the touch controls. They seemed to be tempermental until we were informed by the sparky that they are moisture sensitive so they work better if your fingers are slightly damp! Wish this was in the instructions.
EHD68210P Sleek Design, Shame About the Manufacturer and Retailer – It looks fabulous and when it's working properly it's terrific. Beeps at you if you leave a hot pan on the cooktop after it's turned off, or even if it's cold and you put something metallic on it - which becomes a little irritating after a while. I question the quality checking before they leave the factory though - I got a lemon This cooktop… Read more
looks great, heats unbelievably fast, you can melt chocolate without a double boiler (yes, I know that's true of all induction cooktops), the flat surface makes it easy to slide pots around and quick to wipe clean. Controls don't always operate with first touch and sometimes temperature sliders don't respond straight away - I don't know why. Had 2 of these in last 12 months - first one had chip off corner of glass. 8 months later retailer replaced. Second one had 2 heat zones not working, no part in the country according to Electrolux. 2 months later the repairman has taken it away for second time to try and get working. Electrolux AND retailer - Coffs Factory Seconds - won't replace although it's under warranty.

Beautiful, Easy to Clean – I have just started using the EDH68210P and LOVE it! It is one of the few Electrolux induction tops made in Germany (only the maxisense are German others are made in China) I have only ever used gas before but this is unbelievable......heats up super fast and drops temp just as fast. cooking outside as I have found new kitchen and my cookware stays super clean. A dream to clean Expensive initial cost compared to gas cooktop
Stylish and super easy to clean – Only ever having used gas cooktops and finding them a pain to clean I decided on an induction. I was so surprised at how quickly it heats up and cools down. Controls take a lot of getting used to (for me) but I think it was worth spending the high price I paid so I can easily clean it and it always looks good as it's nice and flush and suits a streamlined kitchen. easy to clean, good looking and good functions Expensive to buy
Quality, functional and stylish product – I would like to see the cooktop about 5cm wider as I like to use a large fry pan on the front. But I could easily move it to the back and have more room to work with. The controls could be a little more intuitive in their positioning but are generally easy to use and convenient. Much better than knobs. There are some nice functions such as a warm… Read more
up and timer but they do have some idiosyncrasies. Nothing to worry about and to be expected.
Overall, I am quite happy with this product. It heats up fast and is responsive being a pleasure to cook with. It's so much better than any of my other electric cooktops. If you want to heat something up quickly, the boost function will take care of that. You can heat water up in almost no time and when you turn it down the water comes off the boil instantly. It gives you good feedback. No more fiddling trying to get the temperature right.
It's a stylish unit and is very easy to clean. We somehow scratched it a little so it does require some care. I don't know how this happened. One of the major selling points for me was that it endorsed by Tetsuya Wakuda. If he can run his professional kitchen using this brand then it should be good enough for me. It's quality that counts for me and Electrolux has delivered it. Good quality product. Solid construction and stylish. Control layout and display could be a little more intuitive (but not too bad).
