How to connect the water supply to fridge?

Hi when I clean the fruit and veggie drawers there are crevices that can't be reached unless the drawer is taken apart ( which looks like a bit of a task). Am I missing something? How does a person go about getting the bits of food that find there way into these impossible to reach areas? Thank you, Gwyn

I have model ESE6077SC and the elecronic display no longer has any numbers. Is there any way to change the temperature? Can this be replaced still? If so, how much will it cost? Thanks, Cathy

Very frustrated with the cheap plastic interior. The deli draw has snapped. I’ve bought a new one. Can’t get it to fit back in the fridge. There are no instructions in the manual.

The ice maker will not dispense the ice when the paddle is pushed, would this be an electronic switch problem at the paddle or a motor problem?, or is there a fuse that can be replaced?

Hi. If your fridge stopped ie (blackout). The water melts slightly and then when you restart its solidify the water all in the wrong places. As the ice grinder will work with ice made from the fridge. If you try put bought ice thst might jam it. I would placed cold to warm Water to clear any ice the has frozen in the wrong places in the wrong shape. Then give it a go. If no luck i have a ice unit for sale.

It's not a short task to fix this problem. But if you are keen I can give some guidance. I have never seen a diagram that of the water pipe to the dispenser. However, I never needed one to fix my problem which was the same as the one you describe. You need place to store what ever is in the freezer for a few hours. Next, make sure you disconnect the power to the fridge. Then remove the bracket on the top of the door. Its simple. Once this is done the door will lift off the lower hinge. You cannot move the door far from the unit as the water pipe is still connected. Lay it down beside the unit and you will see a simple connector that you can unscrew to separate the water line from the door.

Once you have the door off and the water line disconnected the hard part begins! I recomment placing the door on a table or platform and turning it so the external side is facing up. Remove the facia to the water/ice unit. Usually the screws are rusted so use some lubricant. Once inside you will see the water line. Using a pair of pliers you can extract the line from either end of the door. It is usually old and stiff and difficult to move and it took me around an hour to get mine out. Take care not to snap it if you can. Once its out you can buy new clear plastic piping from Bunnings of the same diameter and feed it back down the line. Mine went down with no problems. Once that is done then its just the reverse of taking it off again. Reconnect the line at the bottom and attach the door. Its a time consuming job but not a difficult job. Good luck.

The easier solution to this problem is contact Electrolux and buy their repair kit. They will supply a smaller diameter pipe which you slide inside the original pipe. They supply a fitting to connect the small diameter pipe to the original pipe just near the bottom door hinge. I found I needed a little water-based lubricant to help slide the pipe around the bend near the water dispenser. The flow rate is reduced using this kit but it is still fine.
