We purchased an Electrolux Side by Side Fridge/Freezer ESE6107 from Elite Appliances, Hobart on 10/08/13. It broke down in April 2015 and a significant amount of produce was damaged. It was replaced and a new one installed. Yesterday (29/03/21) I tried to purchase replacement brackets for the lower shelf on the fridge door which had come off, making it impossible to use the lower shelf. I was informed, by an accredited repairer, that there were no brackets available and that the whole door would have to be replaced! Also, the doors are not available at all now and that it would be a matter of time before the insulation inside the fridge door would swell up and the fridge would not work. So, a fridge, worth $3589, which was brand new in 2015 will shortly be useless. Is there honestly no repair available for this product which we thought was high quality?

I can't answer your question about replacement products, but I will say this, as being an unhappy owner of this brand of fridge they are not built to last or repair properly. The company obviously has a built in obsolescence policy, their quality does not hold up to the test of time and frankly seems to not care about their products or their customers or their reputation.

Hi, after 6 years of faithful service this fridge will not freeze. It was working fine but after a few months of being switched off it has suddenly decided to breakdown. Could this be something obvious after a few months without use? Or will it require a technician?
