It's ok however on the 45 minute cycle it doesn't really wash the clothes properly. The 15 minute cycle is fine for just 1 or 2 things. If you want a decent wash, it will take at least 90 mins. Other than that, a good washing machine and pretty good value for money.

Purchased at Harvey Norman Online for $580.

Washing the stains right outta my life – We bought this machine when our 7kg top loader collapsed in a fit of exhaustion in 2021. I was surprised at the negative reviews on here, ours has run like a dream since day 1, no matter the abuse we throw at it, and trust me, during winter sports season it gets punishment! So huge it even fits our blankets, and kids doonas, meaning less dry cleaning expenses, more margarita money for me! The filter is front bottom and easy to access and clean. I made my own favourite cycle so I got what suits us, 60 deg C for the aforementioned sports uniforms (lucky this isnt smellavision) with high spin. Always get a good outcome using 0.5 cup sodium carbonate and a half dose of laundry detergent. Not too wet, dry off quickly. My only ever hiccup was a stretchy lycra top that was caught in door as it closed and spun around making a giant knot, and made machine shake. Note to self, dont overfill machine and make sure all items are away from door. You can stop machine early in cycle to add those hiding socks you always find 2 seconds after you start a load, and the vapour refresh cycle is great for suit jackets and school blazers worn by stinky kids and husbands. There is remote connection for your phone but I dont use it since am right there wrangling the laundry anyway. The spin is a bit noisy, but the rest as silent as a toddler in the makeup drawer.

Purchased in at The Good Guys for $940.

Seems to work really well – We have had this for around six months now. After a major renovation, including our laundry, and given the spec limitations we decided to ditch our old top-loader and move to a front-loader for the first time in our lives. We haven't had any reason to complain. The range of options available are vast and we generally stick to Mixed or our programmed Favourite cycle. The ability to add time for the prewash to work, and to adjust the spin speed, are both really handy.

The only 'failure' that we have had was with some bathroom floor mats that we washed. I suspect that there actually enough weight for the machine to balance for the spin cycle so that kind of failed and I ended up just taking them out, hand-wringing them, and then hanging them to dry.

We have cleaned the pump filter a few times. The instructions made it look hard but it was actually fairly easy.

Purchased in at Bing Lee Physical store for $880.

Gutless spin performance. Avoid if you use towels – This piece of junk can barely handle a few wet towels. It never spins correctly, and needs to be unloaded at the end of each cycle, then each HALF of the load re-spun. Else, towels or anything remotely made of cotton come out wringing wet. Even a dedicated spin cycle seems to just oscillate back and forth at around 120 rpm with any decent load, and never gets anywhere near the "1200" rpm. Unless the machine is almost empty.

As with many other reviewers, I just wish my old washing machine, an LG from 2006 in this case, was still working.

Followup after 2 years. I've weighed many loads of washing before and after the various cycles. Depending on the contents of the loads, having to use the spin cycle after the main cycle results in another 300-800g of water being removed. After querying this with the Canberra service organisation, the service guy said "that's good enough". And charged me $200 - during the warranty period. Not good enough Electrolux. Why don't the cycles on this machine spin the load enough to remove all the water???

Can’t live without it! – I purchased the Electrolux 9kg Front Load Washing Machine with UltraMix Detergent System (Product code: EWF9024Q5WB) as my old Electrolux washing machine finally gave up on me. I’m very happy with this purchase. The machine is extremely quiet and the wash cycles are plenty!
