Hi there,
I'm experiencing the same EF display problems and interrupted cycle. I've tried rinsing with no load and using vinegar etc but it won't continue the cycle.
Reflecting on previous comments on the EWT806 water saving model, is it worth an Electrolux technician visit to investigate or do I cut my losses and move on? The machine is probably 8-9 years old.

EF is a motor fault.Check external link for details. Not worth fixing unless you have a spare motor. Get a front loader, they are a lot more efficient and more durable, (provided you keep the door open while not in use otherwise they tend to get mouldy and stink)

Thanks for the response. I was pretty sure that was going to be the answer. The EF display does appear regularly but this time it's not disappearing.
Hi there. My lid is stuck shut. Lid lock light stays on all the time. Model is EWT806SA. Is there a way to get the lid open. Please help
You could try to switch off the power at the power point, wait a minute and tap around the lid lock with a mullet. Otherwise remove the entire top cover to get to the lid lock from underneath. As a last resort, forcing it open couldn't do much more damage since the lock needs replacing anyway. Hope this helps.
My washing machine 8kg Electrolux EWT806SA will not go, everything I try to put a load of washing on it comes up with LD on the machine, i have cleaned machine and hoses and it still won't wash with LD could someone please help me.
Your machine is subject to a recall. See external link for details. Electrolux will replace the lid lock free of charge.
Hi,
We have a EWT806 electrolux topload machine that the timer occassionly adds ten to twenty minutes to the cycle when it gets to about 10 minutes left to run. Has anybody had simular problems? or ideas.

That is what ours did, frequently. It would go to a 21 or 23 minute wash all by itself!!
