Lovely fabric but too narrow – I bought it for a preterm baby but I found it difficult to support her head sufficiently. I was not happy with the padding and I felt that the fabric was not wide enough. I started using it after she gained head control and found it useful but I always felt somewhat uneasy because I couldn't get it as snug as I'd like. Later on I decided to get an unpadded ring sling and it turned out greater width and lack of padding was exactly what I needed. Now I sling like a pro. I love the fabric of the EllaRoo though and I plan to get it altered, take out the extra fabric, remove the padding and hem the edges. lovely soft fabric, very pliable, great for breastfeeding in public, lightweight too narrow, unnecessary padding, not safe enough

Excellent – I have far too many baby carriers, this is definately my favourite ring sling, it is so easy to use, versitile and is such great quality. Anyone who is wondering about a ring sling - try an Ellaroo! If you have an older child though I would suggest an Ellaroo Mei Tai, you'll get far more use out of it. Both are a million times better than any frontpack or backpack. lovely fabrics, looks great on, fairly easy to use, much better for baby than a front pack, comfy, discreet breastfeeding Like any sling it isn't the best for older babies/toddlers (once the get heavy!) because all the weight is on one shoulder. But invaluable with little babies and for short trips out with older ones.

Good – It is great as it is really lightweight and I keep it in the nappy bag or my handbag for 'ducking to shops'with as much easier than getting the stroller out. It was great for breastfeeding in public as no-one knew. Good product. Lovely fabric and look great. My son loved to be snuggled up close to me as a newborn and it was really great when I was all over the place running around after my 4 year old as it meant that he was content and could sleep comfortably while life went on for the rest of us. He is 7 months old now and he can get a litle heavy in this after a while so I also have a pouch. This is great if I want him to go to sleep in and now that he has strong neck control, it is good having him face outwards when shopping. I didn't feel overly comfortable with him in this between 4-5 months when he wanted to see what was going on he wasn't stong enough yet for the outward facing way.

OK – Will keep trying at different stages of growth, but I bought a different one that I feel more confident walking with. Nice fabrics and patterns to choose from and strongly made shoulder strap. Bub loves being close while you have your hands free and they can watch what you do. I used mine when bub was newborn, but I struggled to get her comfortable once she got slightly bigger before neck control. I still worry she will overbalance. I probably don't do it up properly but I find it tricky to adjust with fabric through the rings while supporting bub (so one handed).
