Love it – Once you get the hang of putting it on easy to use. Love the variety of carries. Makes quick shop visits easy and my baby loved taking walks in it. Perfect for travelling too-we didn’t even take a pram just our ergo. Show details
Good for big sized Newborns – I'm fortunate to say I have the Keith Haring Pop (limited edition) carrier! Aside from the amazing design -this carrier has practical features for heavy newborns. My 9lbs newborn fit comfortably for the following reasons: Malleable Material - chubbier babies tend to have rolls of skin that make it hard to just slip/put into position without… Read more · 1
rubbing on their delicate skin.
Extra Thick Waist strap - forced my tummy thus pelvis into upright alignment eliminating the post pain you can get from carriers
Padded neck support - my son has a pertruding belly so when facing me it means his soft neck bobs around ! The neck support really helped him lean towards me and made it comfy for his big cheeks to rest on me.
Hardly any buckles! Trying to balance the weight of heavy baby and buckle clips is a total nightmare - this carrier only has 2!
Excellent! – I love my new cool mesh Adapt. As a mother of four and now a Nana of several I have had many, many carriers over the years and not having to use the insert is fantastic! The Adapt carrier is really clever in it's design and so easy to adjust for a growing baby or to swap between ages. I missed the forward facing position a bit but it has… Read more · 1
encouraged me to learn to use it with bub on my back, and it turns out once you get the hang of it it is pretty easy. I bought the soft grey colour which is lovely and the mesh is perfect for this very hot summer. In winter I will just pop an extra jacket on bub. (A hint to breast feeding mums ... when you first use the Ergo use it AFTER feeding so bub has a full tummy of milk and is happy. When you put him on you don't want him to think he is going to be fed, and to get him used to it just use it for a really short time several times a day to get you both used to it. You will both learn to enjoy it quite soon.) Thanks for a great carrier Ergo.
Better than the Original! – I bought my first Ergobaby carrier for my son (now 6). Being a new mum, it seemed very complicated. He cried his head off both times I tried and I gave up. Fast forward five years later, I decided to break it out for my daughter when she was 3 months old. I bought the baby insert and we got the hang of it thank goodness. We wanted another carrier… Read more · 1
for when one was in the wash so I went shopping online, and settled on the Adapt. I should have bought it instead of fluffing about with the bulky baby insert! The Adapt is great! We got the cool mesh as we are relocating to Singapore and I did not enjoy me & Bub sweating it out when we visited twice with our Original carrier. Yes the shoulder straps are puffier but being petite, I can still carry it off. What’s great is the lumbar support..it really makes a difference. The cool air mesh is great too..I pop sound canceling head bands on my daughter which adds to the heat build up but now she no longer wakes up with a red face and matted hair. It really makes a difference and I believe it contributes to a better, longer sleep for her! The only negative is that the waist buckle clip is now on my back left where with the Original, it was at my back right. Being right handed, it’s a bit clumsy for me to buckle and unbuckle. All in all though, I’m still very happy that I “upgraded” rather than bought another cheaper, Original model. Even my husband felt the difference when he carried our daughter in the Adapt.
The only thing that would make it perfect: being able to get my hands on the new Ergobaby zippered pouch that comes bundled with the new Omni 360. Wish it had come with the Adapt too as there is no storage pocket for the Adapt, unlike the handy one with the Original. The zippered pouch is sold separately in the U.S. store so hopefully we’ll have that option soon.
Best carrier for a newborn – I started my baby at 5 weeks on that carrier. It does not need an insert and the legs are in M position to avoid hip displasia. It's excelent quality and easy to put on, we still use it at 15 months and it is like brand new. The design is great. I have a weak back, but I can carry him in this carrier for a long time My newborn baby would scream from 7am to 7pm none stop unless if was carried so this was a life saver. Show reply
Great for newborns – The fact it doesn't need an insert for a newborn is what attracted me, tried the insert with my 360 and just couldn't get it happening. Easy to use, the adjustable sizing is great. The only thing I have found is that it's not super comfortable. When baby was a newborn and I was wearing it up at waist height (to keep her at kissable level) it felt… Read more
like my kidneys were being crushed. Now that she's lower I'm finding the adjustable Velcro part for the legs is cutting into my hip bone. I mainly use my 360 now for this reason. Overall it's a great addition to the Ergo range though
Great easily adjustable carrier – I love that this carrier can be used on the front, back and hip. The straps allow the option of crossing on your back when wearing baby on your front, which makes it very comfy, spreading the weight nicely. It has a nice sun/wind/shade hood which clicks easily with domes. My favourite feature of this ergo is that you can adjust the width of… Read more · 1
the panel using the velcro and snaps to suit babies of different sizes and developmental stages without requiring a bulky/hot insert (and extra outlay of money). The lumbar/tummy support pad is nice and comfy too. I like that it's not too bulky and heavy and the colour (grey) looks lovely and fresh. The shape of the panel also creates a nice 'seat' for baby's bottom, supporting a nice ergonomic position for baby's hips and spine by encouraging a good pelvic tilt. The only point that I would note for improvement is to change the shoulder strap buckles to allow for two way tightening. It's easiest to pull the webbing to tighten when back carrying, when front carrying you have to pull backwards which some people find more challenging. But this is a very minor point. The ergobaby adapt is definitely a great carrier with lovely features which adapt to baby as he/she grows.
This is every thing I want in carrier!!! – This is everything i want in carrier; it is hip healthy easy too use and is perfect for "simple is best" people. There is only on thing I want added... an organic range, PLEASE? I really hope they come out with this design as organic and then sign me right up for it :P Show reply
Easy, comfortable and baby loves it – Found the ergo adapt really easy to put on and adjust with the new clips (instead of velcro) and have watched it fit to suit my daughter as she has grown without any hassles at all. She loves being in it and the movement and being so close puts her to sleep most of the time. Super handy when out being social and would be hard otherwise to get her… Read more · 1
to settle with all the stimulation. Only thing I could ask for would be outward facing! But perfect other than that.
Absolute lifesaver! – I absolutely love my ergo adapt, with a mischievous toddler it is so handy to be able to strap her in, and get things done with ease... and her in my sight. She gets a real kick out of being able to get involved in the things I am doing! Show reply
