This is probably the cheapest robot with an actual roller mop rather than traditional circular pads or the even older mop pad. The advantages of the roller mop is that it cleans and supplies fresh water to the roller while it is mopping, eliminating the needs to stop and return to the base to clean the mop. This ensures deeper cleaning. (something premium you will find in more expensive robots).

This type of mop will mostly benefit houses with hard floors (tiles etc). The robot also has a split vacuum roller brush that spins hair towards the centre where they simply get sucked inside the canister rather than tangle around the brush. (Again something premium you will find in more expensive robots).

PROS:

Mopping is excellent for the price point and this is the cheapest model with a roller mop as well as one of the earliest to have adopted this mop system, even roborock did not release one until later and it costs almost double the price! (Better yet if you wait for a discount, it goes on sale often). The roller is a true edge-to-edge roller from one end to the other, hence why the robot is not the common ''circular'' shape.

The base is well designed and the water tank even has an LED light that turns red when something is wrong (like when it is empty) to alert you visually. The fresh water thank is one of the largest I have used and it will last for many runs! (however, due to the dirty water tank being large too, emptying it more often will ensure it doesn't become smelly).

Its side brush arm extends to reach corners (Another feature that is usually found only in more expensive robots). I have put this to the test and it works really well!

Vacuuming is very good and it has an automatic function where the suction increases automatically while going over carpets. As I mentioned earlier, the split roller brush helps to de-tangle hair.

The app has ample options from setting schedules, to setting up no-go zones, and even (Finally) expanding a map while it has already been created (This was a huge issue on many previous robots - not only from eufy) where once you created a map you were unable to add another room, instead you had to create a new map from scratch.

Eufy also (Finally again!) has a quick mapping option where the robot does a quick run to map your house conserving battery. In the past, with Eufy robots you can only map a home and clean at the same time, so if your house was big the battery could run out before mapping was completed. Eufy is late to the party as Roborock and Narwal had this for ages! (However, better late than never).

The robot has AI obstacle recognition and I put that to the test, by leaving 2 white socks (on white tile) on the floor and it recognized them and avoided them. It also pinpointed them on the map on the app. It did the same with wires and cords that I had on the floor.

Frequent firmware updates from Eufy (I had 4x in about 7 months I have owned the robot) improving navigation and other parameters.

CONS: (I hope a representative from Eufy reads this).

When opening the app sometimes the map disappears or when you select a room to clean the cleaning options do not come up thus you are unable to commence cleaning. (this is fixed by ''force closing the app'' and restarting). I emailed Eufy support about this and they were no help.

This is probably the most frustrating part, the robot is unable to recognize changes in its map on the fly. Meaning, when I move furniture around it still thinks the furniture is in the same spot from the previous run and it will avoid that area as if the furniture was still there! It takes a good 2-3 runs over the same area for the robot to recognize significant changes in the environment and adapt. Roborock does this on the fly in real time! if you stand next to it and you suddenly move it will still go ''around you'' as if you were still there! (This needs to be addressed with a firmware update). It is not a big issue however the robot has LiDAR navigation with RGB cameras so there is no excuse for not being able to adapt to changes in the map in real time.

The other annoying thing is once the robot cleans a room it goes back to the station and auto-washes its mop. You cannot turn this option off, which is totally okay, however after it washes its mop and you want to clean another room, it will wash its mop again before it starts! It does not remember that the mop is already washed from the previous run. This ''double-washing'' is a waste of energy, water and time! (A firmware update to address this should be fairly simple).

The robot can do random things (although it has improved from ''occasionally'' to ''almost never'' with frequent firmware updates) For instance, when it gets stuck and i have to pick it up, once I put it back down, sometimes it is unable to resume from where it left off. It seems like it 'loses its bearings' and it tries to work out where it is again then endlessly going around and around without success. (again this happens very rarely now after that last firmware update).

Purchased in at The Good Guys for $800.
