Worst customer service – On my 2nd Eufy X8 Hybrid. First one died within 6 months in warranty period and replaced. Had this one for 15 months, kept getting S1 battery error Tried all troubleshooting then bought a new battery, still same problem I contacted customer service and they just sent me same troubleshooting info. Contacted them again and I just got the "sorry… Read more

nothing we can do" and no longer answer my texts. It was used once a week and now its just useless. There are much better brands out there, do your research.

Cleans well when mapping works otherwise disappointed – Cleans well, when the map works. Mapped the whole house and when dividing / merging rooms had to save over and over until it worked. Schedules won’t work as it says can’t find map. Map is connected as master but resets each time. Turned off multi mapping and lost the whole map. Says positioning every time I try to clean rooms then can’t position… Read more

itself. Previous had a Roborock and had none of these issues for the same price. Hopefully get some answers from feedback provided to Eufy. Very disappointed especially after reading such good reviews.

Your product will not work after warranty period, don't buy – Bought a Eufy robot vac two years ago, spent $1500 on it. Vaccuum itself was great but now it's dead after two attempts to replace the battery. Eufy were good to deal with with supplying us new batteries, but now it's proper dead after only two years (my husband is an electrician so has confirmed it can't be fixed this time). Will not buy Eufy… Read more

again as spending all this money should get us more than two measly years. Please be warned your product will die after warranty has expired, choose a better brand.

I named my X8Pro Limone because it is a LEMON – My house is spread out with hallways between the rooms-- mostly Wooden floors and some carpets. We have a hairy dog. This is my third eufy and I would never buy another. With the first one I replaced the battery at 14mths but could not buy a new fan assembly 4 weeks later.(EOL was 18 months) so I purchased a Eufy Robot G20, now 9 months old It… Read more

works well but I suspect it does not clean the entire space it has a habit of being almost in the same corner whenever I check. It will return to the same spot even when you pick it up and move it.The third Eufy X8pro was touted as a mapping spectacular and there was self emptying option. My robot has to be emptied by hand. After a few weeks lint began to collect between the paper concertina filter and its impervious Plastic backing. Washing the filter as suggested by Eufy does nothing to remove the debris. THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT FILTERS AVAILABLE. If I had purchased the self cleaning attachment I may not have noticed this problem for some weeks. When you request help from Eufy, you send a request then you recieve a reply asking you to book the job- so you repeat your request and then wait a week or so before someone answers. The instructions I received did not help and the fact that the filters are not available - they claim you should replace them after 198 hrs is The mapping is very" helpful" Only five rooms can be mapped I have a larger house than five so the machine bleats when you choose an unmapped room Need I say? never again.

Absolutely amazing. Changed my life! – Ok I may be slightly exaggerating with the “changed my life” but seriously the Eufy saves me time and cleans both hard floors and carpets so well. We have only needed to use the medium suction and it’s more powerful than my other manual vacuums. I have mapped out the house and can direct the Eufy with my phone while I am at work. It has only been… Read more

stuck once (under my son’s bed, but who wouldn’t get lost) and otherwise I have no bad words to say. I wish I bought the hybrid in hindsight as the X8 is so good that i would now trust a mopping function as well. I also loved that it was really easy to set up and was basically functional straight away. The dust container is also very easily emptied. All in all, thank you Eufy! So glad that I finally bought one!!

Didn't last over 12 months – Initially purchased 28/12/22. Had to return due to fault issues straightaway. Myer store made internal errors which delayed re-delivery to 23/12/22. Therefore, it is technically out of warranty by a few days. This vacuum cleaner was very good and easy to use to start with. It cleaned all three types of flooring I have (Carpet, tiles, and wood).… Read more

It had some minor inconveniences, such as not following the order of room selection and at times going into another room randomly. Just before Christmas break 2023 around 12 months mark, it started to give Error 20 and insisted that the laser sensor was blocked. It couldn't find its way around and couldn't find its way back to base. I tried the troubleshooting as per the Eufy website and contacted support with videos showing the unit going around aimlessly. Eufy's response, "Based on the symptoms you've described and the evidence you've provided, it does seem that there may be a potential defect with the mainboard of your device... recommend seeking assistance from a local electronics store that offers repair services for electronic devices". I will not recommend buying any product this expensive that does not last at least 3 years and being told to take it to a shop and get it repaired at your own cost. I consider this very poor practice and would not be purchasing anything with this brand. I am very disappointed as I had previously highly rated and encouraged others to purchase Eufy products and was about to purchase their security system.

An ok robot vacuum but it suffers from a LOT of minor issues - do not buy full price! – I am coming from a very old Roborock which are considered the best in the market. I wanted a modern robot with zone and room allocation as well as virtual boundaries (my old roborock did not do that). I also wanted a robot vacuum that ONLY vacuums (not mopping) and literally there is none else on the market other than the eufy x8. It is very… Read more

expensive (RRP $1100+) for just a vacuum robot so it will not be to everyone's liking because for the same money you can get robot vacuums that do mopping and some that also have empty stations! (look at dreame etc). I would not recommend buying this at a full price.

The app is very simple and once you pair up your eufy x8 to your wifi network you are ready to go. The vacuum has to map your entire house before it can generate a map so it is imperative to do that. It took me 3 tries to do that as in the first time it got stuck in a carpet, and once you move it or gently nudge it even slightly it will not continue and loose all the progress. That was really frustrating so I began again but the second time it run out of battery before it finished the mapping. What was worse was that it did not continue from where it left off after it was charged, so that meant I had to re-do this again for a 3rd time. Because I have a big house that took ages so in order to sustain the battery in one run I had to reduce the suction the the minimum. This was done successfully.

Once the house is mapped it is easy to divide, merge and pick sections for the vacuum to clean. However there are several issues I came across:

Negatives:

Firstly, you pick the order of each room you want the vacuum to do first, second etc, however the vacuum does not always follow that order, for instance if you choose kitchen, bedroom, laundry it may do laundry, bedroom, kitchen and so on.

Secondly, the charging station keeps moving on the app from where it is in real life - on the app it shows up near the corridor and in reality it is located in the dining room. I contacted eufy support about that because the robot will NOT return to the charging station and it will keep going to the one that shows on the app! This is really frustrating and eufy support says it is because I have a long corridor and that the robot is not able to locate the charging station. This is not true as previous roborock had no issues and also in times that I only vacuum the dining room nearby the charging station still changes locations randomly!

Thirdly, This is a huge oversight from the engineers but I have a big sliding door that leads to the backyard and when I was cleaning the house the robot was attempting to go outside, constantly bumping on the glass. My roborock had never done that once and it was able to recognise the boundary. In order to resolve this I had to make a virtual boundary for the eufy x8, but in all honestly this not very intuitive at all!

Forthly, the robot appears to crossover and do zones which I have not selected on the current cleaning cycle. For example if I choose the hallway but NOT the bedroom that is next to it, the robot will go into the bedroom and overlap to that area (a little) not sure why it does that.

Lastly, the robot will very occasionally miss some spots in the house especially when navigating around chairs and tight spaces!

Positives: The suction is very powerful (thanks to the dual turbines) and it vacuums so well it is amazing the hair and dust it picks up! I think this will be extremely great vacuum for those with pets!

You can manually adjust the suction (4 levels) which I love (some robots will not give you that option)

The app is simple and easy to use and the excellent feature I like is that you can take control of the robot manually (kinda like an RC toy) you have control to make it go straight, left and right. This is especially important for those hard to reach places or for when you want to clean a specific spot quickly!

Maintaing the robot is very easy and it comes with a spare brush. The filter is washable which is a plus and the tray is large and seems to hold a lot of dirt!

In conclusion, I do really hope the eufy engineers sort out those issues above and this will be excellent robot vacuum choice!
