to be genuine and sincere in their apology, and made no attempt to make excuses. Hopefully this experience of ours is a one off, as the kitchen appears to be of good quality and now the BBQ is working we’re happy with the outdoor kitchen.
Euro review
We bought an outdoor Euro Alfresco kitchen (to go on to a new pool deck) at Harvey Norman – but the problem is not with Harvey Norman, but with Euro. (1) After we paid the deposit on an $18000 outdoor kitchen, we were told that Euro would not even start to build it until the pool deck was built (which would be several months away). The supposed reason was to make sure that the kitchen would fit on the deck and the deck would be strong enough to hold it. This was despite us sending Euro the architectural plans and the engineering plans (and we had designed and engineered the deck to hold this kitchen as well as a clay pizza oven). Euro just completely refused to budge, even when we offered to pay the full amount up front. (2) Not surprisingly, after the deck was built, the installer came out, took 1 look at the deck and said yep, the kitchen would fit, and gave the go ahead for Euro to start building it. We were told it would take 6 weeks to build because we ordered a “custom built kitchen”. The kitchens are supposedly modular, and we ordered a design from their catalogue without any modifications. (3) After 5-6 weeks, we were told the kitchen was built, but the installer was away overseas on holidays for another couple of weeks. Yep, in a major Australian capital city, they have ONLY ONE installer!! (4) Kitchen finally installed, we had our first BBQ, and it didn’t work properly! Burners were going out within a few minutes in random orders!! We contacted Euro, and they blamed a whole heap of things – wind (this is an outdoor kitchen!), incorrect installation of gas connection (despite the wok burner connected to the same gas supply with the same piping worked perfectly), incorrect kitchen installation (their installer installed the kitchen!). (5) The repair technician came out and confirmed the problem was with the BBQ, and was unable to fix it. He also told us about multiple similar issues with Euro BBQs in Brisbane, suggesting a manufacturing issue. He checked the gas connection again and gas pressure / flow – no problems. (6) The repair technician came back a few weeks later – Euro told him to replace the gas hose!! He actually realised the hose Euro had sent was an inferior quality hose with a smaller regulator and lower flow rate, so he didn’t even bother. (7) It then took a few weeks and multiple phone calls to the repair company – the delay this time was with Euro sending replacement thermo-couple valves which was what Euro wanted to try to replace next. He came out, took the BBQ apart, and discovered that the installed valves were all different sizes!! One of the valves could not be replaced as the valves Euro sent did not fit! The technician replaced the other valves and repositioned them, and that seems to have fixed the problem, for now. (8) And the final thing – the installer couldn’t even hang the cupboard door straight and they didn’t close properly. Emails to the installer and Euro Alfresco went unanswered (and delivery tracking show they were delivered). I managed to adjust the hinges and rehang the doors straight myself.
Their decision to not even start building the kitchen until the deck was completed was unfathomable. The after-sales customer service was just shocking. The technician told us today that they now have 6 Euro BBQs all with the same problem just in the past couple of months, suggesting poor design, manufacture, and / or quality control.
We have 3 Euro appliances for our new alfresco kitchen. Have not had Euro before but delightfully pleased . We are enjoying them all - the BBQ, bar fridge & range hood! We have had a lot of wonderful steaks & roasts (including using the rotisserie)! Show reply

EURO OUTDOOR KITCHENS WASTE OF TIME FROM THE GETGO – What a joke. Zero Customer Service & even less care factor. Dont waste your hard earned money on their overpriced products. Whether you deal through Euro direct or you go via one of their retailers, either way you are going to be extremely disappointed. Just about to place the order & I am told that based on photos alone (no actual physical… Read more
inspection) I would need to pay another $5000 on top of the already $16000. Nobody could come out & inspect, even though there are sales agents everywhere. We went to the next product down & we are over the moon with the service / product / communication. I dont think Euro want to sell their outdoor kitchens & I am positive the sales staff at HN definately dont want to part with their items. Shame, theyve lost really good customers & no doubt more to follow. Its 2024. Not 1999.
Good Sales Process, but poor on delivery – We dealt with Euro Alfresco to configure, manufacture, deliver and install an Outdoor Kitchen in our new Outdoor Kitchen. The Kitchen was built by another builder. The set-up included Bar Fridge, BBQ Cooker, Wok Burner and Wash Basin. Pros about Euro Alfresco: * Online/Web configuration of requirement. - Initial engagement only. * Smooth and… Read more
Efficient Quotation process. - manual engagement with staff. * Courteous staff from Adelaide. Euro Alfresco does not have an operation in Victoria. * Managed a few changes to original configuration efficiently. * Good packaging of delivery items and quick courier services. * Installer does a perfect job - no fitting of warped doors * Manufactured in Australia. * 10 year warranty – Cabinetry and Stone, 3 year warranty – Appliances
Cons about Euro Alfresco: * Full payment has to be made at Costco. We have no hold over these guys. * No operation in Victoria to support installation, support and warranty. * The services connections to the set-up is your responsibility. (water, gas, electricity). Not part of installation. * Installation is contracted to a 3rd party in Victoria. This party has many other installations and it took two months for the installation to be completed with staggered delivery of faulty/ warped doors. * A door from the original shipment was warped and Euro Alfresco shipped an alternate version which was also warped. The 3rd door was packed well hence there was no warping, hence the delay. * There appeared to be some disconnect between installation party and the team in Adelaide - hence out of spec kicker, which had to be shaved off at one end. This meant additional delays.
Conclusion :
The set-up is still new and not yet used hence cannot comment on the functionality and usage.
The overall price does not justify the time taken for delivery and installation. Probably there are mark-ups added by Costo hence it bloats the price. Lack of in-state operation to install and support the cabinetry and equipment puts Euro Alfresco in a backward position in Victoria.
