good unit until 4yr extended warranty runs out – unit 5 years and 7 months old always been noisy but now shuts down on low and medium speed (too loud to run on high speed) paid $550 with extended warranty now $1850. in Harvey Norman. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! – DO NOT RECOMMEND! Have had two installed at the same time in two seperate kitchen areas, and they both have played up by power surging with-in six months of each other. master bedroom. Customer support uninterested to fix situation. Yes warranty has expired but Australian Consumer Law still stands and we have been let down. Even now as we cook the fan is surging proving ineffective. I replaced the first one with another brand but I needed to pay for extra plaster/cornice work as they were different sized duct covers. When the second one went I went with the same brand to avoid extra other work as I do not intend to be here when the warranty expires. Very disappointed overall.

Poor performance and quality broke short of 2.5 years – We purchased this unit due to we renovated our kitchen 2+ years ago. Now, the unit just short of 2.5 years already broke down. life span that 7 - 10 years and understandable. They can send out a technician which cost $195 (not sure whether this including GST, part and labour). Fixing a short 2.5 years unit is half the price of a brand unit. I got a quote from other electrician ranging from $400-450 (a brand unit price). This unit just a LEMON, probably worst than a lemon. At least a lemon give me vitamin C but this unit give me headache. My advice to anyone who thinking getting a Euromaid product please think twice or more. If I can I will give a "0 - ZERO" star. And my god customer service team is very rude they have no answers. Will never recommend someone to buy euromaid products and definitely not going to buy again . Waste of money and time .

5 years old, fan and light had stopped working. Resolved by power reset – Love the curved glass appearance of this rangehood and the easy to clean filters. However the fan is quite noisy, even on the low setting. It has not been used much, and the FAN and LIGHT had stopped working. The clock still worked. "User manual" does not suggest it, but many modern electrical/electronic device problems are resolved by a simple power reset. Note that in many cases, due to the curved glass, the backsplash and tiling for this rangehood is custom made, which would be an added cost if replacement is required.

Product parts should last more than 5 years at this price range – Extraction fans are very noisy & not effective unless on highest range .Downlights not now working & not able to just replace bulbs as it is a built in system. repair which is too expensive just to have a downlight. So will buy a bright LED free standing light for $30-00 as a replacement. Will never again buy Euromaid or any appliance unless easy repair on replacement parts.

unreasonably loud noise to stopping for few seconds on it's own. It didn't bother us much since it was still working, until recently when it stopped working all together suddenly. When tried to call the technician we are given the quote of about $1000 for it's replacement and $150 just for call out fee to check it out. This is very disappointing considering the fact that these things should last longer than this. We used to have Bosch prior to this which worked just fine for years and was still in perfect working condition when we decided to renovate our kitchen and replaced all appliances. Wish we had gone for Bosch or more reliable company at that time. Frustrating thing is that we have no option but to buy this same model again and spend $$$ since all out kitchen splashback and tiling is done around and according to this rangehood. So unless we want to spend another $$$$$ in changing the kitchen design, we have to settle for this again. Not very happy but couldn't do anything about it. My advise is, Do not invest your money in this rangehood. Not worth the money for sure.

I posted this above review previously when my rangehood broke. After reading this review, Euromaid representative contacted me and offered free service and inspection. They not only checked it but also replaced a faulty fan free of charge. I must say that I am very pleased and happy that they looked into it and didn't let me down. Loved it until recently – My unit has performed well in until recently. I have always maintained it well and kept it very clean. I noticed the motor making a squealing noise a month ago and today the motor stopped completely. I paid $550 for this at Harvey Norman, I am not a happy customer. Ok for what it does – I got this hood as part of a kitchen upgrade in 2017. What I like about it Stylish, easy to clean, uses hard stainless offset air direction filters rather than mesh screen types.
