One let down on our EGE9TS – Our stovetop cooks perfectly, the nobs do only limit the gas from full noise to low in the last bit of turn you have before full low, but we worked this out straight away and it isn’t a problem for us. assembly is terribly designed. The way the gears are set up, they can’t even turn a 500 gram perfectly balanced piece of pork without breaking. After 3 unsuccessful attempts with trying to have the situation rectified that started 2 months after I got the oven, including 3 visits from the serviceman and a new turnspit assembly, I have given up and unfortunately never had a turnspit roast from this oven in the 2 years I’ve had it and am super disappointed about it. It was the biggest selling point for me and has cost me a lot of time and effort trying to get my oven to produce a turnspit roast.
Overall, great oven and cooktop, just don’t talk to me about the turnspit...

Don’t waste your time or money – Bought this model from Harvey Norman two years ago & had the glass on oven door shatter, loose oven door, gas burners not working or uneven flow. Last straw was when inside oven glass shattered, oven door still loose. Print from controls came off with cleaning also. Bought extended warranty, thank goodness! So many issues after a few months – We have only had the oven for a few months and purchased from Harvey Norman, as was recommended by the salesperson. After second time cleaning the numbers and writing near the dials all started coming off, and every time you clean they wipe clean off. rubber seal surrounding the inside of the oven also started to come away and is now almost completely off, which I presume is releasing heat while the oven is on.
After turning the oven off the cool down fab stays on for about an hour, not sure if this is normal.
Not very happy that this happens after paying good money and after only a few months. Wouldn’t be recommending this product.

the oven would not turn off unless it was pulled out and switched off at the power point wall socket.
Within a week our 2nd upright cooker was delivered however it was so badly damaged (not from delivery as the box was un damaged) even the stainless steel backing plate (protected in a box by foam) was warped.
Then our 3rd upright cooker arrived and we noticed that the stainless steel around the trivets on top was burning and discolouring. After calling your help desk we were pretty much accused of having a too higher gas pressure and this could be the only reason causing this issue.
Our 3rd upright cooker had a loose oven door therefore a service call was placed to fix the loose door while the installer also checked our gas pressure which is perfectly fine. Our plumber also came and checked our gas pressure and confirmed this. The installer mentioned he thinks the burning issue maybe cause by the trivets being to low to the gas burners.
Our 4th replacement came as a new stainless steel top that was fitted however the burning continued although not as bad as the 3rd replacement.
We are now into July 2018 only 4 months into purchasing our upright cooker.
We were then advised another stainless steel top would be ordered as a replacement. After a few weeks we were sent a text message from the installers advising us that there is a delay regarding the new stainless steel cook top. A few weeks later we then are notified it may not be ready until November 2018 (5 months delay) In January 2019 I called their help desk support who were rude and condescending, as you can imagine this did not help our situation.
At this stage we decided to get a refund (Store Credit) however a week later we decided just to get another replacement as we didn't want the hassle of going to purchase another upright cooker.
Since then a handle to turn the gas on and off has since broken.
On the 12th January 2019 the 5th replacement arrived, the installers started unwrapping the upright cooker on our front lawn where I noticed this one was also badly damaged, so its been returned.
We are now waiting for our 6th replacement and to be honest I have no confidence whatsoever its not going to be damaged or more importantly the burning of the stainless steel cooktop issue has not been resolved.
I have looked at the competitor’s products and every single one of them has a much higher raised trivet thus reducing any issues with the stainless steel burning or discolouring. You may want to check out the Fisher & Paykel new model as I’m sure it uses the same stainless steel gas top and burners but larger and higher trivets.
Even their installers who are exposed to many brands believe the burning is probably due to these trivets not being raised. We have been using the wok trivet to heighten the utensils and that seems to reduce any discolouration although that's not an ideal solution.
From our experience and the trivets being flat I would steer clear of this product as its simply no worth the hassle.

quality oven. The heat escapes from the top of the oven door making it very uncomfortable to use the cooktop at the same time.
I can feel the difference in quality, the overall appearance looks similar but definitely not the same oven that I had.
I've had the oven for two days and already noticed issues. The oven stays on even when turned off. I had to fiddle with the dials turning it on and off a few times before it would actually turn off.
Total lemon! Dont waste your money!

clean the front after unpacking in case numbers wipe off again - stupid right??? Then used the fan assisted grill last night and had to turn off at mains as it seems the fan and heat wasnt going to turn off - now tested again early this morning and same but fan did turn off after about 1 hour for 10 minutes of grilling - I would not think that this is normal - opened the door after calling euromaid and after 1 hour of cooling from grilling for 10 mins it is still hot in there or quite warm - but at least the fan turned off...not normal I wouldn't think and hows the power bill go with that??? Not happy at all
