Door broke – As others stated the door was difficult to open and failed to open after 4 weeks. Contacted customer service but it's not covered by warranty. Wasn't really happy and has been sitting in my garage unused for a considerable time. Just thought I'd warn others to beware and read other reviews

Great Microwave Highly Recommended – This is a very good microwave in many aspects. It looks very nice. It is a good size (not too big and not too small) as it is also easy to use and finally I love the fact that the internal stainless walls allow it to be easily cleaned inside and out. Highly Recommended.  Show reply

Why did I bother, my 17 year old whirlpool was better – Generally it works ok as a microwave but... The button to open the door is ridiculously hard to push. I’ve heard this is a safety feature but I think it is an attempt to come up with an excuse. I have had to put blocks of wood behind the feet to stop the whole thing sliding as you try to push it open. It will take on average several goes as… Read more

your first attempt will often fail as and you need to really give it a good push. If you’re getting on or have arthritis you probably won’t be able to open it.

No insulation so the outside gets as hot as the inside and will damage your cabinets if you have built it in and your hand if you touch it. So much for the safety features

There is no way to add time once it starts so you either have to stop it and start again or wait and redo the whole process.

The ability to press the instant start (that gives you a single minute only) multiple times to add a minute on would have been a handy addition.

The combination menu has predefined combinations so C1 is 230 degrees convection and 40% microwave and there is no way of adjusting it to your preference. The Displays only reference is C1 C2 and C3 so you have to refer to the book constantly to work out what you’re actually using.

The menu is overly simple but does not give you much in the way of customisation.

The thing that annoys me the most is the start and stops/ reset buttons. The stop/ reset button has a big play symbol on it (like on a CD player etc.) , so you instinctually press it to start it, which then resets the whole thing. Drives me crazy.

As I mention my 17 year old Whirlpool did all of the above well and you would have thought that after that period of time the functionality would of improved not gone backwards. This is probably nothing that a firmware upgrade couldn’t fix (apart from the open button and the insulation)

I’m probably going to get my old whirlpools magnetron replaced (the as it’s much better).

The only reason I bought it was there is no real good alternatives as just about everything is made now to last just past the warranty period.

I was hoping that by the time this breaks something good would come up – won’t be long now I’m sure

November 17th 2014 Update:

the light only lasted two months and the only way to replace it is to take it in for a service. in all reality I might just dump it on the verge and take the hit. It does microwave Firmware is badly designed, takes forever to heat up, the grill doen't get hot,

Would definitely not recommend – Takes 30 minutes to reach 230 degrees. Very difficult to open: would be practically impossible for anyone with arthritic wrists or hands. Manufacturers state that this is a feature not a fault so they should include this in the advertisement. Bakes satisfactorily. Easy to operate. Will be getting rid of this oven as soon as I can. Easy to operate… Read more

settings. Bakes OK. Push button for opening would be impossible to operate for person with arthritic hands or wrists. Manufacturers claim that this is a safety feature. Purchasers should be warned. I definitely would not have purchased. Takes over 30 minutes to reach max temperature for baking

Warranty service worthless – Disappointing service on a 2 year Warranty product. Microwave ceased working within 18 months and it has been sitting at the Brisbane Service agents Endeavour Refrigeration for 5 weeks. They tell me they are still waiting on parts from AEG Sydney. I fitted out a kitchen completely with Euromaid appliances and so far both the stainless steel door… Read more

panel of the dishwasher has got rust spots and the Microwave doesn't work and service is unreliable.

May 19th, 2016 Update: Buyer beware

This is my second review on this expensive Euromaid Microwave.

Within 12 months of purchasing this appliance it stopped working and had to be taken to the Brisbane Agents Endeavour Refrigeration. It took 3 months for them to get the part and fix the appliance.

Now after its out of warranty the microwave was making a weird noise and an electrician found that the wiring has been shorting with sparks flying around. Not safe to use so its off to the tip. Unreliable and shocking Warranty service Stopped working

Love my new microwave, it looks great and does so much – This microwave oven is so quick and easy to use. When I want to heat something up I simply turn the dial to the right till I've reached the correct time and press start. If I want to defrost then I turn the dial to the left instead. The microwave also has a grill so I don't need to heat up my oven for a small grilled sandwich and convection… Read more

cooking which is great for those times when I need the extra oven space without the extra cost or space of a double oven.

The microwave looks great with the Built-in Trim Kit. It is the same size and looks great with my Euromaid PS12 Electric Oven. They are a great feature to our new kitchen. Very quick and easy to use and looks great.
