Do not buy – Our oven is near new and burns everything. If I want to cook something that would originally be 120 Celsius fan forced, I have to put it on for “20”degrees Celsius and it still burns??? Worst oven I’ve ever come across. Show details

Absolute disgrace. Do not buy this brand. Beyond bad – This is an absolutely terrible product. Would not recommend this brand to anyone, really regret this purchase. We have had this for around 6 years, within about 3 years all the white enamel at the top of the stove started cracking really badly. It now looks like it's about 20 years old or more, absolutely disgusting, and I will have to replace it… Read more

soon as it just looks that bad. A stove should last more than 6 years.

The oven part works reasonably well, and has not had any dramas.

The stove top was bad from the beginning. Doesn't get hot enough to stir fry things or barely to boil water. Glass top (that the elements are under) is obviously an inferior quality glass to the good brands as it marks and scratches way too easily.

I hate this oven so much. No wonder it's discontinued.

Stop importing Euromaid products not good enough!!! – 6 years we've had this unit and slowly it's falling apart, the oven element had to be replaced within the first two years and now the inner glass has fallen away. If this is the standard of Euromaid products as a whole, I would stop importing them into the country.  Show details

Does the job - barely – The hot plates are fine and it is easy to keep the glass top clean. It does scratch easily unfortunately. The oven is pretty hopeless. It is impossible to control temperatures accurately because the dial is useless and the numbers rub off eventually. Also the only way to tell when the temperature has been reached is by a hard to see little light… Read more

set into the front of the unit - and the light literally fell out of its position so it's all about guess work now. Would not buy again - probably a good thing that it has been discontinued.

A few issues with this model – The 2 left knobs melted when grill was on shortly after purchase, and the oven died the other day - purchased August 2010, and don't use the oven that much anyway. Stove top is good and easy to clean. For the price it should not have these faults so soon after purchase.

Not pleased – The unit still works however the numbers are nearly worn off the knobs which makes selecting oven temperatures difficult. Disappointed it didn't come with a timer which I would have thought was standard on ovens. Enamel is wearing. I don't use harsh abrasives on these surfaces either just normal detergent to clean the knobs. Don't like having to… Read more

Happy so far – Ours is 1 year old now, we are pretty happy with it overall, nice & basic and it works well, As an Electrician I would encourage people who want value for money and it reliability to stick to basic models of all appliances. now, you will unfortunately always be a little disappointed. So far so good,

Update:

The knobs melt, who would use a plastic thats not suitable for the job??? But If you grill with door shut you can't see the food, I need a full set of knobs after only a year & we grilled max 10 times. This is the only dissapointing thing we have found so far. Works well, hot plates fast to heat up, oven is nice & even temp, nice & simple to use. Knobs melt & are flimsy, grill is awkward to use, instructions are poor.

In need of repairs – Have had this stove for 5 to 6 years and oven has always been slow to heat up unless I turned both elements on. Fan also takes 5 minutes to actually start. What a Lemon – Purchased a Euromaid SC600 12-2012. We have already had to have a hot plate replaced under warranty now all of the knobs on the oven have started to melt and are not working properly. The stove is still under warranty and has to be repaired again. We thought that we had a good stove to last at least 15 years , not so. My kitchen looks terrible – Well the unit is functional enough but the enamel is cracking and peeling all over the places. I can accept that enamel might crack when struck by a suacepan around the hobs but this stuff is bubbling and cracking all over the place including places totally out of view and any interference. What's stranger is that under the enamel paint is rust.… Read more

So much so that all the hairline cracks, of which there are thousands, are rust red and no amount of cleaning with remove them. I chipped a bubble at the base of the glass of the over door and it was thick rust. When I say bubble it looks like paint on an old rusty car, bubbling up to reveal rust underneath.

Even if the oven kept working for longer we'll consign it to the tip because it has started to look just like a prop from a crack den in a gritty crime drama. Come to think of it does anyone need a prop for crime drama? Call me. Of course you could just buy one new from Euromaid and wait for 6 months and you will have the same result. Really poor finish and Euromaid notably exclude the enamels from their warranty. It still works Cheap Finish

Not Happy – The euromaid SWH600, what a fizzer. 2 years after purchace oven stopped working. That amounts to about $600 a year, the most expensive oven I have ever purchased. My last oven lasted 22 years and was still working and replaced with the SWH600 due to renovations. It seems that these ovens only last 2 years. Not happy. It worked for 2 years. Worse stove ever! Not even deserving of a full star – My parents bought this about 12 months ago and have not stopped complaining about it!!! 1. The oven does not heat to beyond 190 degrees C. 2. and the very young gentleman I spoke to told me that 1. The thermostat is set at that temperature and she (mum) shouldn't be cooking anything over 190 degrees can you believe it. I told him that she has been cooking much longer than he has been alive. After telling about problems 2 and 3 he proceeded to tell me "well that's what you get when you buy a cheap product"!!!! So, we will buy them a new upright stove for combined birthdays and Christmas presents and it will definitely not be a Euromaid.

bad customer service, oven doesn't get hot enough, hot plates automatically switch themselves off, knobs get too hot to handle.

Dials have melted and element not working, warping in botton of oven shell – I purchased a Euromaid SC600 approximately 18-24 months ago. The oven appears to be working perfectly until recently, the bottom element is not working. Apart from that over time the dials have melted (all seem to be made of plastic) it obviously hasnt affected how the oven works but if they continue to melt even more i will be unable to use… Read more

the controls properly and need them replaced.

I have also noticed that the inside of the oven shell has warped on the bottom. This also hasnt affected the way the oven works but it seems unusual for it to do so.

Is it unusual for an element to fail within 18-24 months? Has any one else with this model experienced melting dial controls? And has anyone else found that the inside of their ovens are beginning to warp???

Any feedback would be greatly received.

Dial controls are melting, inside shell is warping, bottom element is not working after 18-24 months.

Need better instructions for use – Love the stove, it's easy to clean and the cooktop heats up very quickly. elements, i.e. whether to use top, or bottom, or both when baking. I would appreciate some feedback re this. I presume that the griller pan should be removed when using the oven for baking.

I think being able to have the oven fan on or off during baking is a good feature. I don't like all the sharp edges on the silver baking sheet so haven't used after the first time as I couldn't rest it anywhere. Easy to clean. Looks good in kitchen. Lack of cooking instructions.

Bad – It is a stunning looking stove and the brushed stainless steel finish is spot on. However, the quality of the stainless steel on the sides of the stove seems to be an inferior material because it is deteriorating and rusting within one year of use and I do clean the stove daily, and do thorough weekly cleaning. In my opinion it is a good stove… Read more

but I am very regretted that I did not choose the white version of the same model. After this stove and my old kettle I won't ever ever ever buy stainless steel finish products ever again, unless I have any other option or alternative. It is just too demanding to keep clean even using baking soda and vinegar, specially after cooking a sti-fry or frying anything.

If you are a practical person that likes to keep everything clean with not so much efforts, I don't recommend this product. It is just a pain to keep it looking nice, clean and shiny! The cooktops turn on quickly.

The heating system in the oven is very efficient. It bakes everything really well!

Good quality stainless steel in the front area. Our stove didn't come with the black panel displayed in the picture. We returned to the store to complain about and the piece was ordered but we never got it and just gave up.

One of the racks in the oven is not flat, it's wobbly and when we sit a tray with a cake on it, part of the batter runs to one corner. So, that corner will be higher than the others.

I had no experience with glass ceramic cooktops before. They are quite demanding to keep clean. It's necessary using a specific product for glass ceramic cooktop cleaning to remove stains, otherwise you will end up tired of scrubbing and still be risking to scratch the glass. I don't know if this sort of thing happens to the other brands too or not. Next time I have to buy a stove, I want a gas one. The eletric cooktops heats up to high temperature and the food normally gets a bit burnt on the bottom of the pan. Cooking custards, porridges or sauces in both glass ceramic or hot plate cooking top is very tricky.

Least but not last, the self cleaning liners on the sides of the oven are simbolic. I miss my stove in Brazil, all the interior of the ovens of any stove is coated with the self cleaning material, not only the sides. If you want a good oven that it is easy and practical to clean, consider a pyrolytic oven with a separate cooktop. They are not available in free standing models.
