Great heater but it only gets to 23 degrees – Have two of these, warms the room nicely but I cannot get it to reach the High temp max of 30. It gets to 23 degrees and that’s it. Are they both faulty? Maybe I am doing something wrong Show details

Inexpensive to buy, but cost extra $800 a month to run – Actually the heater looks good and puts out a decent amount of heat.... However (see comparison bill) month bill comparison last year with heater to this year without. Without heater $491.45 With heater $1269.06 So that’s a mere $26 a day to run on average.... Could it be a faulty heater? Most likely..... But placing it here in case anyone else… Read more

is wondering if this may be the cause of their electricity bill jaw drop. I like heaters but not at $26 a day lol.

Beep Beep Beep – This product is stupid. It keeps making beep sound when temperature is changed. This function cannot be turned off. I really don't know why manufacturer will do this, they may not use their own product? Who wants an "alarm" in your bedroom wake you up every 20 minutes?? Do not buy it, there will be so many better products there.  Show details

Constant issues with TWO different heaters – I purchased one of these through Harvey Norman - it lasted three months before developing problems. It would constantly turn itself off every 20 minutes with a loud beep... not just cutting the heat due to thermostat, but cutting all power to the display screen as well as the heater. This reset the clock, rendering the 7 day timer useless, and… Read more

would also mean the room never really heated up.

Harvey Norman offered a refund as they no longer stocked the model due to the number of issues they'd experienced (I should have taken notice!). I bought the same model again from Bing Lee and experienced the SAME ISSUE within four weeks. Terrible heaters.

Two different devices both broke in under three months

Quite unsafe – Yesterday I bought HPE221W model of Panel heater for my bedroom from Harvery Norman. Price tag was $189.00 but Invoiced for $159.00. I felt lucky to see $30 discount without bargaining. (Don't know this is how Harvery Norman works). After reading the manual and instruction, I switched on the heater with initial temperature setting (19 Degrees). … Read more

Slowly I felt a burning smell, (After reading many reviews online that new panel heaters smells initially for some time, and the same was told by a Sales Rep at Harvey Norman) I though it was normal and was waiting for "heat" from the Heater. But I was wrong, even after 15-20 mins I couldn't feel much heat but ofcouse much burning smell in bedroom and in living room.

I felt quite unsafe with that burning smell, not sure if it was normal with the heater or some thing was really burning inside. I couldn't bring the heater out of my bedroom, because whole panel was heated and no safe handle to push along with the castors. I returned back the product at Harvery Norman today. Product size Zero safety product to use with burning smell.

The smell is most likely an oil on the elements to stop it rusting. I had one one just let it run… Read more

I like it – We bought two HPE221W the 2200w version yesterday, one for the lounge room and one for a large bedroom. Lean low and wide. We got a bargain price for the two. The price not only was in our budget line but it has a manufacturers warrantee of 7 years. Designed and stored in a WA company made in China. It can be wall mounted or placed on castors.… Read more ·  1

We rent so Castors.

On/Off switch on the side and many many programs. it has 9 different preprograms for a week.

We chose beyond that the manual settings. It has economy and high.

It actually puts out heat quickly on high. We left in on ecomomy over night as as there were frost warnings and a low temp of 3Degs, yes on ecomony the room was cool but it was not bitterly chilling like outside. Occasionally I put it up to high, whcih emitts heat quickly.

When I get my head around the Instructions, I can fine tune the ecomomy setting and make it a bit higher.

I didn't hear any noises. One night but so far we are very happy and it really does seem to work

We bought them at Harvey Norman and we got them for $130 each as two other places currently had them for $139 and $139.95 repectively. I'm listing the price HN had

I'll say it again seven, that's 7 years warrantee, take back to store don't buy online buy local if you need to return it.

LOL Our ancient dog is very happy with it and slept next to one all night Heats quick on high, economy version stops you from freezing over 9 weekly programs and User Program Instructions were confusing and hard to understand at first, chemical smell at first but it left after a while
