Express Removals and Storage

STOP! be warned, don't spend your time and money – So I hired this company to move my 3 bedroom house and takes 8 minutes from my old house to the new one. As soon as they arrived it was like slow motion. They were rude and tried to charge me extra. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Broken furniture & little communication – We moved from Melbourne to Perth. The cost was good. The sales / office staff were super helpful and quick to respond. a few days (not ideal when moving with a baby), took about 12 days I think. The frustrating thing was the lack of communication and knowledge from the manager who didn't know where or when our belongings would arrive and kept changing his story. two pieces of our furniture were broken and a lamp dented. So unprofessional not to even mention this! Just own up to it, you can't hide broken furniture!

Good start, bad ending.

Terrible nightmare with no end – Please do yourself a favour and choose another company to assist you with moving or storage of your belongings! From start to finish an absolute distaster. Late pickup, truck not big enough, container not big enough, half of my furniture is broken and the other half has gone missing during storage. Do not believe anything they say because they won't give it a thought. They have got your money and that is it.

Efficient with no hiccups – I've been renting for quite a few years, which means I have moved house a bit. Having previously moved all of my belongings myself, this was an excellent alternative. Express were efficient and professional, and even made a special effort to pick up something extra that I had forgotten! Great stuff guys!

guy dropped and broke one of our mirrors and a china ornament that was a gift from our mother.

We did not require all the items from our house to be taken, so the removalists shifted around our other furniture for better access. These items were NOT replaced to their original positions and were left askew all over the house. One of our bookshelves was even taken outside (for some unknown reason) and then they drove away and left it out in the open as it started to rain. We had to drag it back into the house ourselves (two young girls).

After they had packed away the main things, they constantly had to be reminded with other random items that needed to be taken. Even with us continuously reminding them to pack our suitcase and box of kitchen glasses, they still managed to forget them. This was a major inconvenience for us as we had to pay and organise other people to delivery these to us (Brisbane to Melbourne).

We got a few bookcases, beds, and other items dismantled for the move. The guys totally yanked our things apart without a care, which ended up damaging one of our bookshelves and breaking one of our desks.

It took them 9 hours to pack half a two-story house into the truck. Towards the end, the removalists began to complain that our things were taking up too much space in the truck that they weren't expecting - even though we got an online quote AND in-home consultation for our things, which were for less items then we ended up taking.

When dealing with the people on the phone, they were very friendly but we had to chase them up for EVERYTHING. Even payment. They were never the ones to initiate information, so we always had to be the ones to ask questions (who to pay, when to pay, pick-up/drop-off information, etc).

They dropped everything off on time, but many of our items were broken or damaged (desk, coffee table, entertainment unit, lamp shade) and many other things lost (including a whole box of our things). On drop off, the movers announced that they didn't know how to reassemble any of our furniture/beds so we had to wait over a week for the company to organise someone to come over that did know how (after us calling them constantly).

We were only emailed our insurance forms after the guys had picked up our stuff from our house - again, after us having to remind them to send it. This was later tried to be used against us when we wanted to claim insurance, as they told us our forms were handed in late, which was not our fault. We paid the insurance fee on time, it was just the forms that were not on time. So they were happy to take our money initially.

When emailing them about our insurance we had to contact them again and again. My family are still battling with them for insurance. We emailed our claim forms to them and had no response for two weeks and counting. We obviously need to keep bugging them for any sort of outcome... Arrived/delivered on time, initially friendly and answered questions when asked Had to chase them up for information about everything, they broke items, lost items, didn't want to take responsibility and tried to reject insurance claims.

Best and easiest move – This was the best and easiest move I have ever done. The guys were so helpful and really took care of my belongings. They were on time and worked quickly and were so cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. By far the most pleasurable move I've ever done..I would highly recommend Express Removals.. Pleasure to deal with.

The Guys did a Fantastic Job – Express Removals have moved me several time over the past 3 years and once again I was very impressed with their service. They were on time and very helpful placing and re arranging furniture in the new house. They still charged the same rates as 3 years ago ?? The Worst removalists in Perth – Don't ever use Express removals or storage in Bibra Lake! They caused us alot of stress and grief for both our move and storage!! late both times and changed things constantly on us. Were supposed to come at 1-3 and didnt turn up till 5.45pm and then charged us an extra hour because of peak hour traffic!!!! The had the nerve to charge us an extra hour on the way back. Very very bad!!
