1 Collette Reid  · Invest in milk warmer – Absolutely useless. Stopped working after a couple of months. My Nespresso one lasted over 7 years.
1 John  · Lasted 6 months – Lasted 6 months heating element gone. Waste of money and the Aldi warranty claim procedure is non existent even though it says 3 years.
5 JRG45721  · Excellent complement to K-fee coffee machine – Where on earth/Australia would I get replacement parts, namely little black gizmo that twirls the contents?
1 Rachelle  · Too foamy – If your using soy milk I would not recommend this frother because it ends up way to foamy and can even over flow with small amount of milk
4 carol w.  · Love this product – We use it daily and totally love it/ heats milk to perfect temp quite quickly
5 Suem  · Best on the market – Use this instead of the Nespresso Frother that came with the machine. Best Frother on the market as far as I can tell.

Dangerous and not working at all – The forming is too thick, and after about a month of use, it stopped working. When I tried to use it a few days later, the moment I turned on the power, the fuse blew, causing a power outage in the house, and smoke came out of the machine. – it's a waste of money and a high-risk product. Show details

Just bought the Aldi Expressi in chrome black. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it. Visually the product looks okay but it does not heat the milk well at all. Its basically warm milk not hot. Really disappointing. I tried heating water in it then milk to possibly warm the elements but still no hot milk. There is also areas of what looks like… Read more

cooked milk skin on the bottom after use. I had to heat my drink in the microwave to get it hot which defeats the purpose of buying a milk frother. A wasted $31.99... a budget product with below average results. Sorry Aldi, but this product is a total miss for me.

Fast and Easy – Forget trying to whip up the perfect milk froth for your capaccino or latte, this little gadget does it for you and does it well. Comes with a 3 year warranty which is amazing in itself plus the option of making a whip that has the consistency of latte milk or a more frothy type used for cappacino. Heats up fast, the whole production from go to… Read more

woe is under 5 mins. The milk is not hot though so you may have to zap it in the microwave if you want very hot milk. The included manual is quite comprehensive and gives plenty of tips. Takes up little bench space and has a transparent lid so you can see how the milk is progressing. To clean after use is just a matter of whiping the non stick milk chamber with a damp cloth and washing the lid in soapy water. Best to do both immediately after use so nothing sticks. It will also froth milk without the heating fuction. There is no mention of 'substitute milk' such as almond milk, rice milk etc in the manual so I assume it's not suitable for non dairy substitutes. Pros: Fast, easy clean, makes milk consistency for both creamy or frothy drinks, can be used without the heating function. Cons: milk will build up if not cleaned immediately after use.

Can't fault it! – Bought an ALDI Expressi coffee machine and milk frother from ALDI in September 2020. The frother works well, just add the required amount of milk, push the button and let it do its thing. It does hot or cold froth, nice and creamy, the hot function is hot enough for coffee, easy to clean, just wipe and rinse. As the manufacturer states on product… Read more

don't submerge in water. This one appears to be an updated version compared to the one in the other reviews. If you have friends over you'll need to allow a minute between multiple uses for it to cool down or the thermostat shuts it down momentarily.

Easy to use, but short lifespan – Very reasonably priced at just under $ 30, easy to use & clean. I tend to use it for heating milk only, but not the frothing option. I mainly use on weekends when not in such a rush before work. However I’ve just purchased my 3rd Expressi milk frother in 3 years, as they just stop working for some reason. Luckily I always keep receipts & there is a 3 year warranty Show details

Review from an "expert" who has used both Aldi and Nespresso milk frothers for 10 years – I work as a voluntary barista in a coffee club. We make about 20 cuppaccinos for our guests every Monday. We have been using Expressi milk frothers for 10 years now. So I think I am by far the best qualified to review this product. Hence forget the rest and read on.... These cheap Aldi milk frothers are definitely a good substitute for the much… Read more

more expensive Nespresso ones. We did a lot of experimenting with both brands at first and compared them. Yes we experienced all the problems people are complaining about and have solved all of them! Here is what you need to know. PREVENTING MILK FROM STICKING AND BURNING TO BOTTOM SURFACE: The non-stick coating is different on each brand but milk can burn onto the bottom and stick to either one. Hence its very important to ALWAYS clean the milk skin from the bottom after each and every use. Its not hard if you do this EVERY time. Failure to clean the residue milk skin and it will literally burn to the bottom immediately on next use. You can use a dish brush, wettex or sponge. Too easy. And make sure to clean it thoroughly when you have finished as well. So user error, misuse and laziness for those complaining about this problem. RELIABILITY/LONGETIVITY The Aldi frother uses a lubricated, mechanical mechanism so is bound to age more quickly with regular high use. As the Aldi frothers begin to wear out (probably due to lubrication drying up) they usually become more noisy and perhaps slightly erratic. You might even need to give the spinner a push to get it going. Eventually they dont spin as fast and so become ineffective. But these Aldi frothers have lasted us for 3-5 years and longer. The Nespresso one uses a magnetic field to spin the frothing tip. Theoretically these should last forever because no moving parts but these too have a limited life. These give no warning of failure. They just stop working. Unfortunately neither one is servicable so when they stop working you just throw them away. BEST FROTHING METHOD Now for the frothing whisk/tip. Do not use the round spring frothing whisk on either one. It just turns the milk to an undrinkable froth. You cant even pour it out. Please use the smaller flat paddle spinning whisk for both. You might need to remove the spring from the Nespresso frothing whisk if it is a multi-pupose one. AVOIDING TEMPERATURE AND SPILLING ISSUES Now for those complaining it doesnt get hot and about spillages. User error once again. - you are putting too much milk in it. Ignore the lines. Just fill it so the spinner on the bottom is barely covered. (half way for the Nespresso longer tip). Its just enough milk for a typical cappuccino and it gets to the perfect temperature. Dont try to put in extra milk for more than one cappacinno. This is when you get the problems of not hot enough or spillages. The spring frother also causes spillage problems so another reason not to use it. CLEANING DOs and DONTs Most importantly do NOT IMMERSE either brand in water when cleaning. Just clean out the inside with warm water and a sponge or dish brush after removing the spinning whisk and then wipe dry all around with a tea towel. FINALLY WHICH ONE FROTHS MIIK THE BEST Both do a good job of frothing. However the froth from the Nespresso one is slightly smoother with smaller bubbles and so more enjoyable. Not a hugh difference really but just to answer which one is best and why. So there are my expert tips. Both (Aldi) Expressi and Nespresso are good frothers when used as per these instructions. Enjoy.

Quick and easy to use & clean – Love this product, great for the price! I use it every day and haven't had a problem other than I don't find it heats the milk up enough for me as I do enjoy a "hot" drink BUT then again that's the way "hot" drinks are sold in shops now (they seem luke warm) so it's a reason I don't go out and pay extra $$$ for a half cold hot chocolate or chai! … Read more

With this I actually put my milk in a small jug in the microwave to heat while I have a small amount of milk in this - the milk takes about the same time to heat in the microwave as the frothing does so then I can fill my mug with the hot milk from the microwave and then top it up with the FANTASTIC froth that comes out of this - is enough froth for 2-3 cups really. I always used the microwave before to make my hot chocolates but really missed the froth however now I can have it all - I use whole milk and it really does the trick when it comes to making a beautiful froth. I'm not a coffee drinker myself but guests love it for their cappuccinos so it's got a thumbs up from me. Really easy to clean (I just wipe it with a cloth) and I've had no problems with leaking - it has markers on the inside (which are a bit hard to see at times) so if you overfill you'll probably get it leaking because of the amount of froth it makes so I suggest keep below the highest line and you'll have no problems - only use the highest line when you're using the late tool as you won't get the excess froth that will make it spill out the top.

  Expressi Milk Frother

A frother which appears to be designed not to last – I personally have purchased two (different generations / designs) of this item and have used many purchased by other entities. All have had an issue whereby milk gets stuck to the base where the heating element is located (even brand new straight out of the box). This burned milk is easily wiped off with a soft cloth or sponge while the non-stick… Read more

coating is still fresh, but this non-stick coating wears away after a while which makes the frother harder and harder to clean until it's impossible to clean without using something more abrasive (ie. your fingernails). During experimentation I've found that powdered milk, pre-sweetened milk, or milks containing cream appear to accelerate deterioration of the non-stick coating considerably. When used multiple times daily (average of 2-3 uses per day), I've not experienced one that has had its non-stick coating last longer than 6 months.

As observed by other users, the specially designed frothing attachment creates far too much froth. The regular attachment creates enough froth for the wants of most people's cuppas.

Poltergeist in the machine – Hi. Something weird happened last night. While watching tv I heard a strange noise from the kitchen. On investigation my milk frothed had turned itself on and had a blue light shining. It was not warm. I turned it off. 5 min later, same thing! I turned it off at the wall switch this time. This morning it’s working fine. Two things, How did it… Read more

turn itself on? And I didn’t know it had a blue light! Is this a froth without heat setting? And how do you get it to do that? Or is it that Poltergeists don’t like warm milk?? Thought I’d share my spooky story. I love my Aldi coffee machine and milk frothed!! I hope the ghost and I can share nicely GM.

Only lasted 6 months – I’ve always loved my milk frother, it saved me having to manually heat the milk via my coffee machine. We bought and returned 2 after 6 months – We bought our first one a few years ago and the heating element stopped working in less than 6 months. We thought it was a one off but then we bought another one in Dec 22 and the same thing happened again. To be fair, Aldi refunded us on both occasions as we had kept our receipts and completed the warranty form. Show details

Loved this frother for the first few months but now it's no longer frothing! – I bought the frother 3 months ago. Everything was working well but now it has stopped frothing. Brilliant Milk Frother – I purchased this Milk Frother from Aldi and I’m extremely happy with the results. It’s easy & quick to use, can whip the milk into a nice froth or extreme froth very quickly plus it’s super easy to clean. It’s just the right size to pack for those road trips as I even take it away with me on holidays. It’s fantastic value at only $29.99 - I seen it listed on EBay for a much higher price.  Show details

Overfroths – I bought because nespresso can only handle one cup at a time and has to cool down before doing second. At half the price for double the volume - bargain i thought. But this thing overfroths. It is the stiffest froth ever. V spout to make froth art? Have to spoon not pour. Ideally you need to stop it before its meant to end. Heated fine, no overflowing.  Show details
