I can't fault the team at F3 Motor Auctions at Beresfield. Greg and Brad went out of their way to help us - two OAPs with disabilities - find the right car and deal with all of the things that had to be checked for us. E.g., does the boot space take a fold-up wheelchair and a walker? Can we get in and out of the car easily? Can we contact them… Read more
again to help if we have a problem? Really, Greg and Brad were fantastic. They reassured us then, and four months on we still can't thank them enough for their excellent service.
Greg was a great help to us from the minute we arrived. We were looking for our son’s 1st car and we really appreciate his honesty and knowledge.
Sold a lemon - Incompetent mechanic with attitude problem – 3 months ago I bought a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. Test drove twice - seemed great. 2nd day driving after handover, check engine light came on. Took back to them immediately, they said it needed a fuel pump replaced, they'd order the part & call me when it came in to bring it back in. 2 week's past & they hadn't called me. The engine light was back,… Read more
running rough & making noises. I drove straight there & they gave me a [Content Removed] loan vehicle, said it would be a couple of days 1.5 weeks passed & I finally got a call from the sales manager. He said the mechanic tried to call me "several times" about my car being ready - no one had called me, no missed calls.
a couple of weeks pass & same problem is back, but worse. It's now shuddering & the oil light came on. They take my car again & give me another loaner - driving to work the check engine light comes. I call them & let them know. I take it back after work... they tell me they've already fixed my car & I can take it home. Immediately after leaving, I can tell it's not fixed. I call them & they say to come back in the morning. Next morning leave the car with them again & they give me a 3rd loaner car - again, I take off & am only up the road when the check engine light comes on in that car as well! I'm already late for work, but turn around & head back. They give me another loaner car. More than a week passes & I call chasing them about my car, again I'm told that the mechanic had tried to call me. I tell them that this is not possible and either he's lying or calling the wrong number, but I've left other forms of contact.
I pick up the car & ask to be told what they've done. they get the mechanic to come to "explain" it to me directly, however he has an attitude problem & doesn't want to speak to me. They tell me that they've replaced spark plugs & some coils... but all 3 times they have no paperwork to give me with documentation & a breakdown of work. One of the major problems is it has been burning through oil but with no visible leaks & the parts they've replaced wouldn't fix this issue.
I let them know that I'm not happy with having to bring the car back in 3 times & having been without it for 1 month combined of the 3 months warranty period, that is now up & I don't trust that everything has been resolved. I'm convinced they've sold me a lemon which they keep bandaiding, but aren't showing me any paperwork to back up that they are making the repairs they claim to have.
I let them know I don't trust the vehicle & will be looking to get rid of it, they swear that it should all be fine now & they are confident it will run no problem... so I suggest they consider arranging a permanent swap for me, since they are confident in the car. They weren't interested in this & just said the best they could offer me was $11k trade in, if I wanted to purchase ANOTHER car from them. They insisted that they were being good to me, as the parts they were replacing were "serviceable items" so really shouldn't be covered by warranty - like, what is the warranty supposed to cover then? and you have never addressed the oil issue.
3 more weeks have passed and again, my oil tank was very low, it's now making a terrible flicking fan noise when I accelerate, since I picked it up It still had an issue with being gutless on acceleration & now the AC is starting to go.
I've decided to cut my losses & am trading this atrocious bomb in for a loss of $7k. I'm not going to dwell on it & just move on, but this has been an experience from hell!
I will say that a couple of the office staff were polite & helpful, they'll know who they are - obviously not the mechanic with an attitude problem that clearly can't do his job.
Extremely dodgey practices – Clean business, well presented staff, dodgy practices. Requested a drive away price with vehicle registered, happy to proceed via video inspection as long as it passed safety inspection. Was sold a vehicle that should not have "passed" safety inspection. Clearly was not inspected at all. Not even a basic service done. Driving it home it almost… Read more
put me in to another road user. The alignment was off terribly as seen in the results picture. A major fault does not simply pass esafety inspection. Lynx auto services Thornton did the "inspection" for F3
Mason knowingly sold an unsafe vehicle and ignored the concerns at the very least getting it legal to pass the next inspection in 3 months.
I requested alignment and bearings invoice to be refunded ($510) which was accepted by F3. How ever this does not excuse the poor form by F3 and Mason in selling the vehicle that is unsafe to operate on NSW roads. Not to mention the many repairs that eventually will need to be done.
Opted for delivery service ($300) 50km distance, which I cancelled as supposedly it would have taken 2 weeks. May have used this time to make repairs needed, or genuine 2 week delivery wait.
Headlight damage and water leaking both (minor but won't pass insp) Seat belt shroud covers missing (minor, may not pass) side step dangling, missing x2 brackets, needs weld (major, flapping like a duck) had fire in engine bay upon closer inspection of cut/burnt hidden wires with melted sheathing (winch wiring) inoperable oil leak new CVs needed Right side wheel bearing needed lower ball joints x2 fuel filler on aftermarket ute tray hanging by a single bolt and mounted near horizontal driver door pin needs replacement
The vehicle was clearly used for off road purposes and F3 made an effort to have me sign a document stating it has not been through water etc. Had a giggle inside when this was read to me as there is literal mud water line across the entire engine bay. Off roading it is exactly what i'm using it for so it does not bother me so much. Do i feel at a loss? nope. Do i feel lied to, yes.
Now when I requested the vehicle registered and safety inspection, any and all repairs needed to pass, should have been done.
F3 in a nutshell - A turd rolled in glitter and thus our forever motor dealer continues...

Don't do it!! – Please be careful with what you buy. Lovely to deal with until something goes wrong. Bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee (my bad) 139k's. within warranty period but 800 k's over oil cooler collapsed, motor overheated and starved oil, main bearing shot. F3 would not help in any way, would not fix car, would not part fix, would not buyback, would not trade… Read more
back. took to Fair Trading, couldnt help due to 800 over. quoted $22000 for an exchange motor plus whatever damage may have occurred to transmission, common oil cooler. F3 contacted again, no reply to phone calls or Email, sold to wreckers. $19000 loss, oh well maybe court from here. BE AWARE
Worse experience ever – If I could give minus stars I would. Purchased vehicle 26/4/24. Repairs were to be done 2 weeks before I picked up. Repairs still are not done 2 months later. Vehicle is now NOT able to be driven. No clutch. Needs transfer box. Needs all suspension replaced. No parking tail or dash lights. Also given a false road worthy from mechanic Jason next… Read more
door. The loan vehicle they gave me is also not in good condition. My vehicle sat in their yard for 6 days unlocked with my property in it and not moved from where it was delivered on tilt tray. Brad the so called manager there now says they won't do anything to the vehicle because I went off over my vehicle not beven being started repairs and most of all being left unlock for anyone to get into. He has even threaten to report the loan car as stolen. My advice is DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE. I am now having to go through the crap of fair trading. I am also seeing a solicitor. This has been the worse experience I've had and also service.
5 Star Service – Jake Portus at F3 Motor Auctions was fantastic! His professionalism, knowledge, and friendly demeanor made the car buying experience smooth and enjoyable. He went above and beyond to find the perfect vehicle for me, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
SATISFIED LADY – Mason greeted me when I arrived at F3 he was easy to deal with and helpful in looking for the cars which suited my criteria. I was interested in 4 cars on the first visit but didn't purchase one. He was efficient in follow up calls and I came back a week later. Mason then showed me more cars and I purchased a Mitsubishi ASX. It needed a small… Read more

told that this is not the way we wired your relay in which was only put in week before we took to F3 so they must have fiddled with that too he said sent message to F3 to ring me back but as of yet NO phone call DO NOT SELL BUY OR WAIST YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY
Excellent service – Recently sold my car with F3. Sorry to see it go, but I was impressed with the seamless and efficient manner of the whole process. 5/5 stars to Brad for his professionalism and courtesy.
Do not buy from these people – My mother asked for a reliable car for myself.. I live in a remote area .. went to f3 motors found a Mazda bt50 .. my mother took it for a test drive and all was good so she signed the papers .. brought it down to me only for me to see the change of owner pink slip to see they failed it then put a good tyre on it to pass it then put a bad tyre… Read more
back on it … soon as I got it i noticed the front drivers shock was completely bad… since I got it at the end of January it has been off the road not working more times then I have driven it… do not buy from these people .. I could of run off the road or a lot worse because they sold a car that was not road worthy
