temporarily solved the seal problem by swapping over the one from the seldom used right hand oven. Good design means that these are identical. The new grill element came to about $40 shipped from the UK and the changeover was straightforward. Overall, this oven was a great choice and we would happily buy another Falcon.

firing up the gas rings failed. The marks on the knobs wore off. The gas rings rusted. The oven fans became noisy. Now we are down to 3 gas rings and the right hand oven and the griller. Big holes have rusted right through the left side oven. These are just the facts. I am a keen cook and while the bits worked it cooked beautifully. At the RRP of $8,400 that cost $700 a year. Not sure if this is to be expected, but at least this gives the facts.

Love my stove but – We purchased a house with the Falcon stove already installed from previous owner and was a major selling point for the home. but as it had no manual, I’m only guessing it is a Elan 110 and guessed the approx purchase date, but could be later. and desserts etc in the left side all purpose oven plus the wok burners on stove top are fantastic for all wok cooking and the grill makes the best grilled cheese on toast BUT......My issues are that what I thought was stainless steel handle along the front has all silver peeling off, I am assuming due to heat rising from the right hand fan forced oven because it doesn’t seal properly, ( I note other owners have same issue in both areas) which the fan only works intermittently and has rust dust that falls in to bottom of oven, plus no matter how much we tighten the handle the steel rod part of handle moves up and down. This really detracts from the look of the stove plus the” stainless ” sections of the knobs in front had fallen off and were no where to be found when we moved in, but I was surprised they were actually silver plastic glued on the front. For a very expensive stove this was very surprising, along with the rusty gas rings and covers. I look at pics of these appliances new and would expect for the price that the longevity of the product would certainly exceed the number of years it has been used since purchased. I have contacted customer care in past about the issues but was redirected to spare parts lol.

I love my Elan – We have been very happy with this oven for almost four years. It's still in perfect condition and I cook every day. We have never had an issue with the quality, it's been great. The ovens cook very evenly with no hot spots. The only thing I notice is that the ovens are so powerful, I have to reduce how long I cook recipes for usually by 5-10… Read more ·  1

mins. I like the self cleaning feature. I'm impressed that the handles have held up well and have no discoloured or lost their chrome. We also purchased the range hood and the splash back. I would highly recommend this stove to someone looking for good quality.

disappointed with quality – There appears to be a design error with the placing of the handle on the larger oven door (right side). it appears to be positioned too high. With regular opening and shutting this door does not seal properly and is difficult to close. Considering the cost of the oven the quality is disappointing but the look is good and draws attention from visitors.  Show details

Fabulous – I have only had this cooker for 1 week, but I have been delighted with the results so far. I cooked cupcakes and found the best results in the fan oven with a container of water at the bottom of the oven.. Last nights pork belly was brilliant with crackling to die for. fantastic in the kitchen. My only issue so far is the oven doors swing a little when I open them and have hit me on the legs. I have my hands full and can't shut the door straight away. Almost everything. Swinging oven door. Be careful of getting your legs burnt.

Too many service calls – This is not so much a stove but more a kitchen ornament. It looks nice and gives a “country feel” to in our kitchen however it has been nothing but trouble since the day it was purchased. devices are so effective that one of the burners will not stay lit no matter how long the knob is held in. This is an ongoing problem that has been experienced with three of the six burners. We recently had one of the burners fixed and the very next day another burner failed.

One of the ignition sparks has stopped working

The decals around the dials have worn off.

The enamel on the pan supports chips easily and the support rusts where it is chipped.

Several of the burner caps are corroding and beginning to flake.

The chrome on the hand rail is flaking off.

I would buy another stove except that our granite kitchen bench top was specifically cut to fit this stove – so it seems we are stuck with it, or build a new kitchen.

On the positive side, the ovens cook as expected, and the wok cradle is very handy. Looks nice Poor quality, too many service calls
